My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Maya condominiums in Scottsdale. Amenities including the pool and sauna were quite nice and proximity to Old Town is of benefit. An upgrade to the exercise room and equipment would be helpful, however, overall stay was enjoyable.

We arrived at night and were emailed directions to a completely different condo. We drove around for at least a half hour trying to find the right place in the dark. Not fun. Also, there was no key card for the pool. We called the manager, but one never showed up. So a real disappointment. The unit was fine, king bed really uncomfortable. I would not stay there again, though, mostly due to the poor communication and management .

The place is great. The pool is nice, it’s really close to everything! There’s a Sprouts and even some restaurants right in front of the condo. It’s very quiet at night which was great for me that was looking forward to rest well. I’d say this, if you have young kids unless they’re really well behaved can disturb the peace of the people living there. From what I understood, most people there right now are old people, they are all kind and nice but if I had young kids I’d feel bad staying there and disturbing them. Also, the building is not easy to find, so make sure to ask for the number of the build. They’re NOT FLEXIBLE AT ALL with checkin and checkout. They charge you 100 for each extra hour on your check in or checkout. So I’d make sure to be there exactly at 4pm. Or you can just hangout in the chairs outside until you’re allowed to get in the house. The neighborhood: as a single woman I would be careful with that neighborhood. You will be safe inside of the property but I went for a walk one day and a guy in a parked car a few feet outside of the property tried to persuade me to come talk to him. I ran and never went for a walk anymore. Only left the place using the car. So just be aware always. Don’t walk around like there’s nothing to be worried about because nowadays we need to be careful everywhere we go.
