We had a wonderful stay in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana! The house is peacefully located with stunning mountain views, yet only a short drive from town, which has everything you need in terms of restaurants and shops. You can even start hikes directly from the property. The house was clean and spacious, and having private bathrooms in 4 out of 5 bedrooms was a huge bonus. We loved relaxing on the shaded terrace, but the highlight was definitely the pool, which both kids and adults enjoyed every day. The large garden also provided plenty of space for lawn games. It was the perfect base for day trips to Lucca, Cinque Terre, and Canyon Park. Highly recommended!

Thank you for such a thoughtful review and constructive feedback! We are thrilled to hear that your group had a lovely, comfortable stay and that you appreciated our quick communication and support during the storm. We’ve taken note of your comments regarding the loungers and kitchen amenities—especially the knives, which we will certainly get sharpened. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we would love to welcome you back again in the future! Best regards, The Tuscan Retreats Team

(Lorettas).

Sorry for the late response to this review! We are glad you enjoyed the villa, pool, area surroundings and local restaurants. We are very sorry about the internet, and a brand new WIFI system has been put in place for 2019, since you are right, the mobile WIFI was very temperamental and other guests found this to be the case too. This is all now resolved! The property also now has a new dishwasher, new pool filtration system, and the pipes for the two shower rooms which were causing difficulties have been totally overhauled over the winter so they are now working like new. I apologise again that you experienced these difficulties, and thank you for raising them so that all has been resolved for future guests, who can as you say enjoy all the positives you raised! Thank you again.
