Just an ok stay - many things need fixed/replaced
TERRIBLE check in process - passes were not at spot we were asked to stop at - waited almost an hour for call back. Claire then said passes were in office on her desk - they weren’t. Temp passes called into gate … then next day all the blame was put on Shipyard. When I requested some form of compensation for all of this inconvenience, all that was given was a waving of the parking fee … a fee that wasn’t even listed on the agreement. A simple “we screwed up and will do our best to make it up to you” would have been appreciated … instead all we got was “the pass fee will be waived” … no regard at all for what we went through on arrival day. Isn’t using a service supposed to take care of these things BEFORE the guest arrives?? Our place was just ok - nice, quiet location, but inside needs multiple upgrades that owner/company appear to have no urgency to fix. Master bed had a terribly soft, worn out mattress - someone had mentioned this earlier in year and nothing has been done. Fan in guest bath didn’t work. Living room carpet worn out . Washer spin cycle extremely noisy / Dryer set off smoke alarm numerous times, then didn’t dry our clothes forcing us to a laundromat on Sat before leaving to dry clothes. My wife killed 3 cockroaches in kitchen. Would have been nice to have some beach equipment and/or bikes. Have stayed in different areas of Shipyard twice before and was extremely satisfied - that’s the reason we came back to that area … but not a good overall experience here
