Historic Charm - Telfair Place

Summary:
Circa 1860 Telfair Place is located in the heart of the Historic District of Savannah, GA.

The Space:
Savannah Getaways is proud to present Telfair Place, a 2 BD, 2 Bath condo in the heart of the Historic District. The building, which was built in 1860, is located above Banana Republic.

Open the door to this 4th floor condo and take in the exposed brick throughout and orginial hardwood floors. Bring groceries and cook a meal in the expansive kitchen with full sized side by side refrigerator, flat top stove, oven, microwave and oversized sink. There is also a large island for preparations. The open floor plan means you can chat with people in the living room while you are in the kitchen. The living room features a huge L-shaped leather couch and flat screen TV. Windows offer perfect natural light and city views.

The first bedroom is the master and features a king bed with ensuite bath. The bath has a large tub with shower and two sinks. Washer/dryer is also located in this bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed and built in desk and book shelf. The second bathroom is located across from the second bedroom and has a walk in shower.

There are two twin rollaway beds located in the master bedroom closet.

This property will accept dogs under 25 lbs. A pet fee will be applied. Please contact us to get pet approval.

Get the best of historic and modern Savannah in this Circa 1860 building...Broughton Street has high end shopping, a variety of amazing restaurants and some hidden gems.

Getting Around:
Easy walk to most locations, free shuttle system, pedicabs, horse drawn carriages, Uber and Lyft.

Other Things to Note:
PARKING: There is no designated off street parking at the property. Your best bet for parking will be at the Robinson Parking Garage (maximum daily rates are $14 M-Th and $17 Friday) located at 132 Montgomery Street, about a block away. You could also park on the street if you find a spot and download the Park Savannah App and pay through the app. If you park on the street pay attention to street sweeping signs and make sure to move your vehicles to the opposite side of the street on the affected nights.

Charming rental

My granddaughter and I spent a week in Savannah as a special trip together. The location of the rental was perfect. We could walk to both the river in one direction and Forsyth Park in the other. Many shopping and dining choices were located nearby. And the rental itself with its exposed bricks and beams was charming. Things we did that we would recommend to others: Take the Old Town Trolley (on and off two day tickets) as a first activity to get a sense of Savannah. The Civil Rights Museum and The Prohibition Museum were full of well-known and little-known history. The riverboat cruise on the Georgia Queen gave a different view of Savannah. There are many restaurants to choose from. We would definitely recommend Mellow Mushroom (for pizza), Duck Diner where you get a little yellow duck when you order a drink (excellent brunch), and for a high end experience, the 17Hundred90 Restaurant.

Nice visit to Savannah

Property is well-situated in historic Savannah. Short walk to river street, squares, and restaurants. Easy access into building and unit. As with anywhere in historic Savannah, parking can be a challenge. There are two decks within a couple of minutes walk and were able to get street parking near unit for easy loading on departure. Just have to wait until 10:00 p.m. or so for street spots to open up. No complaints at all and would stay again. The unit is near City Market, Ellis Square, and other busy areas so expect some street noise particularly during the weekend.

The place was exactly how it looked and in a great location to get to anything you wanted. The place felt secure and friendly. It was exactly as pictured.

Location Location Location

The apartment was charming, comfortable and clean. But, most importantly, it was a phenomenal location to set up base to explore Savannah. Kim was so responsive and helpful. Great place to stay.

Perfect location very comfortable stay

We loved this place! This was a perfect location near Telfair square and walkable to everything from Forsyth park to the river. The apartment had what we needed except for a few kitchen items. We contacted Kim the property manager about the kitchen items. She was so responsive, she immediately brought over what we needed. The unit has a washer and dryer which was so helpful as we were there almost 3 weeks.. I would highly recommend this property!
