Wonderful quiet place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed 7 nights for our 10th anniversary. Very quiet and secluded location, yet close and conveniently located to everything you need. Beach service is a huge plus. Just walk down and enjoy the beautiful white sand beach and clear blue water. Unit has everything you need. Bed could be updated but we made do. Very clean and nicely decorated. Parking was right outside the door and beach right out back. We booked another week next year before we ever checked out. It's our new go to beach place.

Perfect Everything!

We were so impressed with this condo! Super close to the water and a very clean unit! Parking was a breeze and we loved the cool, refreshing pool at the end of the day. We are used to having a washer/dryer in the condos we rent so we weren’t sure about not having that but this unit had 2 of each located just outside our front door. We never had an issue with their availability. The water in the shower was always hot and the air conditioning was cold. We loved having the free beach service each day… it saved us $250! Over and over, my husband and I both agreed that we would definitely come back to this condo again. We loved the location… close enough to Destin for good food and entertainment, but far enough away to avoid the crowded beaches. The beach right in front of our condo was perfect. Family friendly and not crowded at all, considering it was peak season. To the right and left of us, we could see the beach was much more crowded in front of the larger complexes. Literally, the only thing we didn’t have that we wished we had, was a keurig. We bought ground coffee and filters and it was just fine. Found some super places to eat nearby… Asiago Skillet was amazing and Stewby’s Seafood Shanty was delicious! Absolutely a perfect vacation for us!

Wonderful stay at a lovely property!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Island Surf #5 was simply perfect for our 4 night beach getaway. Beach is possibly 50 yards out back. Could not be more convenient. Little balcony facing the beach. The condo was very clean and beautiful. Lots of adorable beach-themed decor . . . modern, not dated looking at all like some other rentals. Some suggestions - bed, although comfortable, seemed like it had an older mattress with squeaky springs. Couch is a bit worn and uncomfortable. Balcony chairs need replaced, or at least cushioned. A retractable clothesline to drip dry swimsuits in shower would be a nice addition. Kitchen, although well appointed, was lacking coffee filters. . . but none of these are dealbreakers. We LOVED it.

Great condo and location

We chose this condo for its proximity to beach and was pleasantly surprised w how nice it was. Check in was very easy and we were able to check in early. Fully furnished kitchen made making meals convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful View & Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is just like it is described. Great location, right on the beach with gorgeous Gulf views off of the balcony. Condo was pretty clean. The walls could be dusted (not a deal breaker at all) and maybe the couch updated or cleaned. But again those are not deal breakers in my book. The washer and dryer is right outside the condo door which is so convenient ....and it’s free!I loved how the condo complex itself was small. Not the super tall high rises with hundreds of condos. We went at the end of March. It has a pool but that was not heated. The owner or manager was super nice and answered any questions I had right away!!!It was a great place, great location and we would definitely stay here again.

Island Surf #5 Not Up To The Usual Standards

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been visiting this same unit for several years now. It is in a great location and has amazing views. I must say however, it is very tired-looking and showing its age. Despite new throw pillows, the living area furniture is dirty & stained and the plastic kitchen chair covers are torn. The patio railing has been flaking paint for years and there was evidence of mold on the patio ceiling and storm door. The water stains on the bedroom ceiling have now grown and spread over the past 2 years. Most disturbing was the continuous problem of roaches & insects in the bathroom and kitchen. Maybe housekeeping has post-covid fatigue. I appreciate that mgmt has no control over paying guests but we have also noticed the clientele staying here is less considerate about noise & respecting the posted laundry room hours. They also do not clean up after themselves in the pool area. Leaving used ice cream pop sticks, soda cans and bringing a crab into the pool "for fun" (then leaving the dead body there) is just rude and unacceptable. With the exorbitant price increase (charging the same cost as more up-to-date condos with 2 bedrooms nearby), shop around for your vacation stay

Views of the ocean were spectacular, but the views of the roaches crawling across the walls in the unit during the evening kind of ruined things.
