Good place; Could be special

Long-time friends (total of 11) vacationed in Austin and Gruene. This property was ideal in terms of size, # BRs and Bathrooms. Each couple had their own space that was private which was awesome.Most of the indoor amenities were modernized or functional. The disappointing features were outside. We tried unsuccessfully numerous times to get the grill going with no success. It is old and should be replaced. The pool area was a mess - the furniture was dilapidated and just beat up. The pool clearly had not been cleaned as there were leaves and sediment in the bottom. The patio furniture was old and uncomfortable. With some very small investments the property could be special.Overall we had a good experience here but for the size and money this property commands they could update and tend to some critical items.

Woman’s Retreat

We needed lots of rooms and bathrooms.Perfect,Everything worked and when we had an issue or question quick response.Could use some TLC…furniture worn but comfortable No wine glasses but other optionsNo shampoo/ shower soapFront porch and back patio not swept of leavesPerfect location We walked to Gruene everydayThe group agreed we would stay here again…we would be prepared.

Holiday in Gruene

Accommodations are wonderful for our large group of 12 adults. Plenty of room for all of us to relax (when we were there). Pool was nice, many of us used it. Lots of room for the yard games which we brought. Grill was handy for our cookout. Overall an excellent place to stay>

Location, location, location!

Great property, just outside of Gruene enough for serenity, but close enough to enjoy everything. Lots of space inside for everyone to have their own space and an amazing kids room, the bunk room and bathroom is perfect for families traveling together.

Wonderful place

We were in Gruene for a wedding on Friday night. Decided to extend the stay to enjoy family time. The house had and excellent living room and dining room to accommodate everyone. And when ready for quite time, the rooms were great. The pool was nice, could be bigger lol. Would definitely use again.

Perfect house for us

This house was amazing. Nothing fancy bit suited our needs. Even in the rain the kids had fin. Kitchen was completely stocked woth everything we needed. Lots of space to spread out.

Plenty of room

The house was plenty big for our family. Nice big kitchen. Plenty of living room seating. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Nice pool. AC was cold. Only drawback was dirty floors and couple of beds were uncomfortable.

Wedding in Gruene

Great place to stay for a big group. We had 14 adults and 2 kids. Very clean and well appointed. Just a few minutes to downtown New Braunfels and Gruene.

Fam Day

Ideal for our multi generation family weekend. The deer were often a sight to be enjoyed. Large seating and dining areas were perfect for conversations. Bedrooms are spacious and private bathrooms were essential for our group.

Great house, great location super close to Gruene

House was really great….lots of room for our family of 16. Pool was nice, plenty of room for eating, visiting n the family room. Bedrooms were large with most having bathrooms in the rooms. Kids loved the bunk room and thought they had the best bathroom! Host answered all my questions whenever I asked by email prior to our stay. We would go back. Just a few minutes to Gruene.

Wonderful house in a beautiful area!

We loved our stay at this house! It’s huge! The pool adds a lot of fun since it’s not on the river. It’s so close to historic Gruene and access to the river. Our big group has plenty of room to spread out and we hope to book again next summer.

Wurstfest

This was the perfect house to host 4 adult couples and three teen boys. Everyone had their own room and bathroom with the right amount of privacy. The living room was perfect for sitting around and visiting. The house is conveniently located near Rockin’R which has a shuttle and great little outdoor bar.

Loved it - Perfect Place for Families!

This house was perfect for us! We love the fact that everyone got their own room and bathroom. House was huge and the pool was an added bonus. The Host was very responsive when we had to contact her about a minor issue. Everyone enjoyed it down to the 3 year old! We will definitely book here again.

Perfect large family vacation home

Property had the perfect kitchen for our large family gathering. Had everything we needed but the food. Was a bit disappointed that access to the river and park nearby was not available to renters. Although just a very short drive to tubing rental. Thoroughly enjoyed the backyard patio and pool.

Good house for a group

The house was a great size for our extended family of 9. The 3 couches in the living room hold 9 and the two tables in the dining room each have 6 chairs. We were able to eat and play games together. Lots of counter space in the kitchen. It was hot (highs > 100 deg F) during our visit so the pool was nice for cooling off. we saw deer several times in the front yard, but be aware of them when driving. There are a couple blind curves on the road to the property. A few things to be aware of. First, the room with twin bed does not have an air vent or fan and gets too hot to be habitable if the door is closed. The other bedrooms have A/C ducts and ceiling fans so I don't understand why this one does not. Second, the coffee maker is incredibly slow. It took over an hour to brew a 10-cup pot of coffee. Third, the thermostat set temperature would change without anyone in the house adjusting it. It is connected to wifi so I don't know if someone was changing it remotely. Every couple hours it would change to a higher temperature. We set it at 73 for night and woke up several times to find it had been reset to 76. It was reset to 79 while we were away, and we thought the AC had gone out when we returned. We made it a point to check the thermostat when we walked by and reset it as needed so it stayed cool inside. Overall we enjoyed our visit, As a suggestion, a couple picnic tables outside would be nice.
