Unikt nybyggd ett sovrum stuga i East Talkeetna nära Talkeetna flygplats. Ett fullt utrustat kök ger dig komfort av mat och varm plats för att njuta av en avkopplande tid vid gaspisen. Kaffe och te, varm kakao och tillhandahålls när som helst du vill. Gå 10-15 minuter eller kör några minuter till restauranger och musik i centrala. Alla nära och bekväma är flyg taxibilar, Talkeetna taxi, flodbåt och Alaska Railroad. Vi är halvvägs till Denali på bara en 2,5 timmars bilresa norrut.

Talkeetna Surprise

I was pleasantly surprised at the attention to details in this rental cabin. Plush towels, nice linen, and spotless. On top of that very close to downtown. Thank you for directing this lost sole over the phone!

Talkeetna getaway

A friend and I spent a night at the Chinook Bear during a girls trip. The cottage is was immaculately clean, well stocked with the essentials and had great touches with furnishings/artwork. The downstairs futon, when open, does encroach into the path between the stairs and the door, so while you could accommodate 5, it's probably best for a couple of friends or a family with one child. Hosts were very responsive to messages.

Best vacation rental ever!

We absolutely loved this vacation rental! The quality of the craftsmanship, the layout, the amenities, everything was top notch. We wish we could have stayed longer. We didn't know if our son was going to drive up from Anchorage. He ended up being able to get away with his girlfriend. Plenty of room for four with the fold out couch and two bathrooms. We can't say enough positive comments about this home. Highly recommend!

Great cabin!

Really enjoyed staying at this cabin during our visit to Talkeetna. It was convenient to get to, comfy, and had all the needed amenities including a spot to sit and eat for breakfast. The only things we had trouble with were the stairs leading up to the bedroom - they were very narrow and steep, and the shower in the main bathroom was tiny and hard to navigate without soaking the bathroom walls and floor. Otherwise, we had a great stay!

Overnight in Talkeetna

The place was gorgeous. It is tight for four adults. The upstairs was very spacious and relaxing but the down stairs with the bed out made for tight quarters.

Cozy, Clean and Convenient

We booked this for our first night in Alaska. Our host, Lynn, was super helpful as we prepared for our stay - providing suggestions for places to visit and dine. The property was immaculate and extremely comfortable. Wish we could stay longer!! Thank you for a fantastic experience :)

Cute Cabin

My husband and I stayed in the neighboring cabin before and liked it, so we booked again. This time we came with another couple, as the cabin sleeps up to five. From the photos, the bedroom layout was a little confusing. The upstairs has a large bed AND a small sofa that can sleep one additional person in the same room. Downstairs has a pull out couch that sleeps two, but when it’s pulled out there is no room to move around the downstairs area between the kitchen and bathroom. The cabin is tight quarters for four adults, but perfect for a couple. Though the overall cleaning seemed pretty good, but there were a few minor things that could have been cleaned better. Someone squashed a mosquito on the wall and left it there. Coffee grounds/filter were still in the pot and there were no filters to be found. We found a long black hair on the toilet and a few more on the floor and water bottle cap in the window. Minor nitpicking, to be honest. You will hear trains from this location, but that might just be Talkeetna in general. The mosquitos are plentiful in Talkeetna in late June, so you need to close the door quickly and bring repellent. These cabins are conveniently located in a small neighborhood just outside Talkeetna near an airstrip (but we didn’t hear planes). We had a moose just outside our door. The kitchen is well equipped (minus the coffee filters). All things said, I/we would stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Disappointed with property.

We did not stay there. Could not get our bags across the stone yard. Could not begin to get the bags up the narrow stairs to the bedroom. Neighborhood not the best. Made us uncomfortable. Please consider crediting the cleaning fee since we did not stay so unit did not need cleaning.

Cool Cabin!

Enjoyed our stay at the Bear. Beautifully furnished. Everything looks brand new. It's very clean and well appointed. It seems much larger than it actually is. We would definitely stay here again.

Great rental

Great location to explore the surrounding areas. Loved the upstairs bedroom with a very comfortable bed for sleeping. Would recommend going to Denali brewing that’s out of town a bit. Great atmosphere along with great food and beers. All in all a great experience with the Vrbo rental.

Lovely cozy cabin

We found this cozy little two-story cabin to be clean and welcoming. The upstairs bedroom is spacious, with seating to enjoy one’s morning coffee and a view of trees, trees, trees. The downstairs has a small kitchen and a sofa with an easy chair and a gas stove. Everything was new-ish and very clean. It’s about a two-minute drive from Talkeetna downtown, and Mahayana Boat Launch is minutes away. The neighborhood is typical “Alaska,” meaning there is a mix of homes here - some tidy and well-kept and others not so much. The cabin is right near the air taxi field, so lots of planes taking off. We weren’t too bothered by the noise. Yummy food at the Alaskan Lodge, along with great views! Denali Brewing Company, on the Spur Road, was a wonderful diversion. Talkeetna is 2 1/2 hours from Denali, so that’s a plus. We took a jet boat tour with Mahay’s, which was excellent. Be prepared for the Alaskan mosquitoes in July!

Cute Bungalow - quiet

We stayed here on our anniversary visit to Alaska. Super cute place and equally nostalgic town of Talkeetna!!! Highly recommend this place for clean, well appointed stay and the best sleeping mattres out of all of our stays in Alaska. Only disappointment is the drive distance to Denali National Park. Wish the town was closer!! If you stay here, highly recommend visiting Denali Brewing Co. Great food and delicious beer. Extra perk is off-season, a stay here in Talkeetna has businesses and restaurants that are still open!!

This property has a beautiful bedroom. A nice kitchen space if you wish to cook. Additionally, it is conveniently located to the Main Street In Talkeetna where you will find tours, restaurants, and shops.
