Med utsikt över gröna fält intill 1700-talets Carmel Mission och en strand bortom 'Tuckaway' studio har mer än fängslande utsikt. Bakom en trädgårdsgrind, genom din egen ingång, är en ljus tyst mysig tillflyktsort. Denna obefläckade miljövänliga studio har en bekväm drottningssäng med lyxiga sängkläder, filtrerat vatten och rengörs med ekologiska produkter.

Nyligen ombyggda Tuckaways handgjorda hickorygolv och orientaliska mattor är bara några av exemplen på vår uppmärksamhet på detaljer. Nya granitbänkar i kök och bad med alla nya armaturer och stengolv i badkar.

Kom och bli förtrollad i de anlagda trädgårdarna med täckt sittbänk som är mycket privat. Trädgårdarna inkluderar en upplyst fontän, över 1 200 kvadratmeter av anpassade inbyggda tegelstenar med utsikt över havet och stranden. Anpassade trä- / gashöjda tegelstenar, teakstolar och en soffa att njuta av i solen eller på kvällarna med inhemska växter och väl placerad lågspänningsbelysning som ger en speciell glöd. Inhägnad i en privat trädgård för dig och ditt husdjur!

We loved our stay at this property! Bill has created a thoughtfully designed and functional space filled with unique decor. The nautical interior added charm and made our time in Carmel especially memorable. We particularly enjoyed the reclining couch, which was perfect for unwinding.The outdoor garden area is exceptional—beautifully curated and a great place to relax. We also appreciated Bill’s local recommendations, though we found ourselves just as happy spending time enjoying the beautiful space he’s created. We hope to return!Tip: It is possible to walk to town but heads up that the main road is a bit busy!

They must have forgotten that I told them about the Carmel Mission Trail Preserve Park that is only a few blocks from the Tuckaway. You can walk thru the park and be in downtown Carmel in about 20 minutes and the beach in about 25 minutes. Never having to be on a busy street!

Bill was attentive and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the outside patio area and ocean view from the high top table and chairs. The home was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Downtown Carmel was very close, we went to Mission Ranch for dinner more than once, it is less than 5 minutes away. This was great for a long weekend stay for two people.

Excellent stay, accommodations and location!

What a special place to retreat for a few days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Main points were location, solitude and privacy, lovely landscaping, quiet neighborhood and friendliness of the host. We will definitely be back!

Perfect location! The owner could not have been more accommodating! Showing us around and giving us tips in where to go. Grounds were beautifully maintained and lots of books to enjoy! And everything we wanted to do is only 5-15 minutes away. Warning: we WILL be back! Loved it!

The property was amazing! The yard was extremely spacious and was great for our dogs to run around. The location of the home is perfect as it is right off the Route 1, but far enough so there is no noise pollution. Additionally, it is just minutes away from downtown Carmel and nearby shopping plazas. Check-in was a breeze and the room and bed was the perfect size for me, my wife, and my 2 dogs.

My husband and I enjoyed this lovely studio immensely with its beautifully maintained surroundings and private patio. Tons of privacy and a view of the ocean in the distance. The owner, Bill, was so accommodating and hands-on with our needs. Minutes away from all kinds of amenities. We highly recommend this special little gem. Very pet friendly too. We truly think you won’t be disappointed!

The Tuckaway was a truly magical property. We will never forget it! Bill did an incredible job when we arrived of explaining the very unique property and building as well as the surrounding area. The garden is just otherworldly. We so enjoyed happy hour there at the end of every day as well as meditating in the peaceful beauty. Highly recommend! Five minutes into town for phenomenal meals and shopping as well.

The plicate patio was to die for! Calm, quiet, and peaceful. A tranquil getaway. It felt private from the main house. Bill was very helpful and met us at check in to show us the keys and give us a tour.

The Hardwood floors are of hand scraped Hickory Pecan & Walnut with oriental rugs,all new cabinets & light fixtures as well as a stacked Mieie Washer & Dryer.There is an Ocean view Custom Inlaid Brick Patio area with Teak coushion Chaise Lounges, great two person Hammocks as well as a Brick Gas/Wood burning fire Pit! There is also a designated off street parking space for the 'Tuckaway' All of this and close to Downtown Carmel-By-The-Sea!

At the 'Tuckaway' you are within walking distance to the 'Carmel Mission Trail Park' that is a walking trail to downtown Carmel with plenty of Shops and Restaurants as well as the Beautiful sandy beachs of Carmel-By-The-Sea.It is only a few minutes drive to the Beautiful State Park known as 'Point Lobos'located right on the Pacific Ocean !There are numerous Wine tasting rooms as well as Vineyards within a short drive, and the Finest Golf Courses in the Country. Just 10 minutes away is the Well known Monterey Fishermans Wharf and Stienbeck Cannery Row with many gift shops & restaurants!
