Windwalker Cabin är den första av två av våra fritidsstugor. Beläget på en avlägsen trädbevuxen fastighet i Blue Ridge Mountains, halvvägs mellan Boone och West Jefferson. Norr om Boone nära den historiska staden Todd och bara 3 mil från den fantastiska New River. Rusande vatten och vacker inhemsk öringström tillsammans med lager "fång och släpp" damm allt inom gångavstånd eller kort bilresa från stugan, gör detta till en familjevänlig reträtt. Pedelbåtar och kanot ingår i vistelsen. Bergsterräng och 24 tunnland vackra skogar. Vissa vandringsleder med många vyer för vandraren eller vandringsleden. Fisk, simma eller paddla båt på Windwalker Pond bara 1/8 kilometer från det lilla hemmet. Infödda öring lever i ström som går bredvid fastigheter och Rainbow, Brown och Brook öring finns på lager precis under fastigheten i det kläckningsstödda området i. Det finns flera vägåtkomstplatser nedströms från fastigheter för offentligt fiske. Vilda djur är överallt runt fastigheten. Fantastisk fågelskådning också. Vackert möblerad och dekorerad stuga, med eldstad precis utanför verandan. Kylskåp och spis i full storlek med alla redskap du behöver. Kaffekanna, mixer, mikrovågsugn samt krukor, kastruller, skålar etc. Stargazing på tydliga nätter är bara fantastisk! Ligger drygt 3 mil från Historic Todd och New River. Bara 25 minuter från shopping, restauranger, filmer etc. i Boone eller West Jefferson. Bara 40 minuter från den berömda Blowing Rock. Blue Ridge Parkway ligger en kort 20 minuters bilresa bort. Det finns guidade fisketurer, paddling och paddling i Todd.
Denna 400 kvadratmeter äkta timmerstuga med all träinredning är den perfekta platsen för en pittoresk semester, reträtt, jubileum eller smekmånad. Nära Blue Ridge Parkway och skidorter. Fyrahjuliga fordon, AWD-fordon och / eller kedjor rekommenderas under vintermånaderna, november till mars, på grund av dåliga väderförhållanden. Fantastisk utsikt i alla månader. Priset inkluderar alla avgifter och avgifter förutom städning och husdjursavgift. Stugan ligger på en landsväg, så hastighetsgränsen är 15 km / h den sista 1/2 milen. Our Mt. Getaway

The property was very nice, the cabin was clean and pretty. Great communication with the owner, The property is perfect location between Boone and West Jefferson, you can get to many points of thr blue ridge parkway within 30 min. Easy check in check out process. Enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful place, just as described!

We had a wonderful stay for 4th of July week. It was clean and had all the basic necessities. We enjoyed using the grill in the back and making bonfires at night. I would love to come back again.

Perfect getaway

We go to the mountains every year at thanksgiving to get our Christmas tree and found this little cabin and it was perfect. The location was beautiful and quiet and not far from Boone. There were plenty of Christmas tree farms around. The cabin and property was pristine. Will definitely go back!

It was in our price range and just the perfect size. The owners were so so nice in communicating with us after booking and keeping us informed. If we had questions they were answered in less than 30 minutes. Beautiful location, quite and we will return.

Great cabin stay

Cute tidy and clean. We stayed just 3 nights and left on 4th of July. Due to rain we only enjoyed the firepit one night. Cabin was comfortable and had everything you would need. Due to short stay we didnt do any cooking. Would recommend 4 wheel drive for the hill up to the cabin driveway. Good location for all of our activities

Nice getaway

The cabin is on the smaller side - good for a small family but perfect for the two of us. The campground is close, but you cannot hear anything when inside the cabin, which is really nice. We loved being able to explore in all directions from this location (Boone, Blowing Rock, West Jefferson, Banner Elk). The owners are very quick to respond and they left the lights on for us once they realized we would be arriving in the dark. We would definitely recommend to friends/family!!

Great Get-away!

My husband and I (and our two chihuahuas) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wind Walker Cabin. It was a quiet and peaceful stay and allowed us to "unplug". We used the fire pit every night except one when it rained. Rick and Dana were more than helpful when a minor issue arose, and resolved it as quickly as they could. Would definitely recommend!

Holiday escape

My husband and I ran away for Thanksgiving. It's a holiday that stresses me out so away we went. We live in Florida, but my heart belongs to the mountains. This adorable cabin is tucked away in the mountains so you feel secluded. It's 400sqft of just right. We loved the decorations and look. Unfortunately most of our plans got rained out, but certainly not anyone's fault and we made do. Would recommend this cute little cabin to anyone.

Beautiful setting!!

We loved our stay at this cabin. The property and cabin are lovely--perfect get-away in the mountains. Everything was as represented in the description -- wonderful furnishings and a well-supplied kitchen.Very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the area around the cabin (close to Boone and The Blowing Rock). We all enjoyed it so much that no one wanted to go home! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us! Process to rent went very smooth ,Cabin was small but really nice interior exterior ,location up gravel rd,tucked away on Mtn side,Host was great ,ownly complaint,rented cabin in mtns for quiet getaway,But neighbor across the road played Loud music Constantly,Mr Music man kinda killed the quiet mtn atomosphere,not the Host Fault,but other than that cabin was really nice

Perfect mountain getaway!

We LOVED staying at Windwalker Cabin! Rick and Dana provided everything we needed and were always quick to respond to any questions before and during our stay. We had restful nights with the cool mountain air and homemade breakfasts to prepare us for adventures in the surrounding areas (tubing on the New in Todd, canoeing in Jefferson, waterfall hikes and fishing along the Blue Ridge Pkwy, exploring Boone and Blowing Rock) and we were always so happy to come home to "our own little log cabin". Great to unplug, enjoy family time playing board games indoors or stargazing around the firepit. Thanks for your hospitality, Dana and Rick! (And for rescuing and washing our beach towel!)

Not exactly as expected

The place was nice and clean. The on line listing was misleading as the pond was not as close to the property as the pictures led you to believe; it was not on the same property as the cabin. The on line listing also said internet was available but it was not available at the cabin on the property, you had to drive to another cabin and sit in the driveway to access internet.

Cozy Cabin that has everything you need

The cabin was perfect for my husband and I. We had everything that we needed. The decor was lovely. The pictures really dont do this place justice. The bed was very comfy and the water was hot. We enjoyed hiking the area and we had a couple fires at the fire pit. It was easy to find wood. We ventured out to Boone and had a blast. We shopped, ate, saw some sights, and went gem mining at Foggy Mountain Gem Mines. Melanies was delicious and definitely worth the wait. If you go to Dan'l Boone Inn make sure you are hungry. Everything we ate was delicious and the service was just as good. We didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back, and we can't wait to check out the other cabin Rick and Dana own, the Stargazer.
