The brief review: clean, perfect size for 2 adults, 2 teens, and 2 dogs, great central location between many western New York attractions, and quiet! The longer review: This was our 4th VRBO farm stay, and we love the animals. This is a working training facility with students regularly on and off the property. Everyone we interacted with was friendly. However, given that we mostly did sightseeing during the day, we didn't see many students. It was very quiet at night. The cottage was the perfect size for our 2 adults, 2 older teens, and 2 medium-sized dogs. We had 2 crates set up in our room for our dogs to use for relaxing/sleeping and still had plenty of room. The cottage was clean, the beds were comfortable, and in 90 degree heat, the window A/C unit did a great job of keeping the cottage comfortable. We didn't have as much opportunity to interact with the owners this time as with other stays, but Kim was very friendly and helpful with giving us local attraction ideas. We took her up on most of them. The location was also centrally situated for our tour of western New York. We never drove more than 1.75 hours to Niagara Falls, Eternal Flame Falls, Watkins-Glen, Ithaca Falls and Taughannock Falls. We also visited Chimney Bluffs (on Lake Ontario), sought out views of Lake Erie and visited the Port Byron Old Erie Canal Heritage Park and the National Warplane Museum. If you are familiar with farm life, we highly recommend the Painted Pony Cottage!
