Great location - quieter than I expected in the area. It was nice to have beach towels & chairs. It was unusually hot during our stay so not having air conditioning was rough, but there are plenty of fans if needed. Check in was super easy and communication was easy and fast.

The absolute best location for a family trip! We parked the car and didn’t really have to drive anywhere all weekend. The place was a little warm as we stayed in August, but the fans helped a lot! Thank you so much! We had the best vacation :)

The location was lovely and super close to both the ocean and the bay. What stands out more to us, though, is the utter calm and quiet of the street. This is the place for you if yoi want calm and peace. Partiers aren't recommended.

This rental would be better in cooler weather, out visit was August 15-18th (no air cooler). It was 80 degrees and the house didn't really cool down, half the fans were broken. It would've been nice if they had left the ceiling fans on to try to cool it down a bit before we arrived. The bathroom has a window but you have to keep it closed when you shower, there is a staircase right outside the window and other houses windows that would be able to see you showering, so it made it miserable to be in the bathroom. There was only one kitchen chair, we had 5 people. They offer a grocery delivery before you get to the rental, don't waste your money, they add 2 - 3 to each item, I checked the prices before I went, so I didn't use this service. Parking is awful, you get a really tiny space, we had to exit out the back of our van window. There was beach gear, but most of it is broken. The king size bed needs to have the comforter updated, it ha dark stains all over it. This would be a good rental if there was only 2 people going in fall or winter, it is very close to the beach. Communication was awesome. It is close to SeaWorld, whale watching and some shops.

Property was clean and decorated nicely. You can hear the tenants above with every step they take but that is usually expected with with older beach homes.

We had great communication with the management team. The house was clean and the location was perfect. It is a very short walk to the beach and the property provided beach toys, umbrella, and beach chairs. Great place. We highly recommend and will stay again.

One of the items that we look for when choosing a VRBO is the cleanliness. This property had several reviews mentioning how clean it was however that was not the case for us. There were 4 fans for cooling but each of them had significant rust on the fan guards and drip pans on the stove were also rusty. The curtains in the dining room were stained and the handle on the refrigerator was broken when we arrived. I wanted to boil a pot of water for some pasta however there wasn't a pot to use. The tea kettle had some concerning stains inside that were whiteish. The coffee make had some issues. It looks like someone accidently poured coffee grinds in the area where you pour the water. This caused the charcoal filter to be filled with grinds and since we did not know how long ago that was we stopped using the coffee maker. I did my best to clean it out and I removed the charcoal filter for future guests. I did reach out to the host about the kitchen problems and they replied quickly and sympathetically and brought a new pot over for us to use to boil water. We used the bell hop service to order food ahead of time and I made a mistake on our arrival time and they quickly called me and went out of their way to save me on issue that I created.My experience could have been a one-off and the location is hard to beat. It would have been fantastic except for my issues above. Again the host communication was great but the cleanliness wasn't what I hoped.

Great vacation rental!

I thought the space was immaculate. We loved the location- everything accessible (beach, bay, restaurants, bars, etc.)The beds were so comfortable. We had 2 things we thought might make it just a bit better. A floating shelf over the stool for toiletries and an inexpensive full length mirror on the back of one of the bathroom door. Thanks so-much for the lovely stay.

Perfection!

I have nothing but gratitude for our time at Avalon 2. Some of the "little" things that made a difference for us were the comfortable beds, high quality towels, a tea pot, beach chairs, great water pressure, plenty of drawers/closet space, great natural light for a cozy setting, fabulous outdoor space and a cell phone number to contact in case of question or urgency (which we did not have to use). The location was exactly what we hoped for, quiet neighborhood a few steps from beach or bay, and walking distance to restaurants. We will be staying here again!

Great house and super close to the beach

We had an excellent stay in Avalon 2. The home was super cute with everything we needed for a great beach getaway. We loved the proximity to the beach. We could walk to the beach in 2 min and the house had everything our 1 year old and my husband needed to have a fun time! The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils you would need and we had plenty of shower towels and beach towels. We had easy communication with the property manager but really didn't need anything. We received everything we needed to check in and out in an email a few days before the trip and didn't have any additional questions. Would absolutely stay in this home again!

Cute space

The house was clean and very cute. I didn’t realize that the building was 4 units so you are sharing the outdoor spaces with lots of neighbors if they’re all booked. Also, there were 5 of us and only 4 sets of towels so we used the beach towels. Small complaints and overall the communication with the leasing company was great and the house was well kept.

In looking through the communication, we do not see any reports regarding towels, otherwise we would have been happy to drop some off (as we did with the extra King sheets that were requested)! Clean and cozy

The property was perfectly located within steps from the beach on one side and the bay on the other. It was cute and clean. The only problem we had was the noise from the upstairs unit the sound proofing needs some attention. I would not recommend staying in August because there is no A/C and the location is blocked from the Ocean breeze. All things considered I would stay here again and definitely visit other Serfside properties.

overall a great stay, but there was little left to be desired in the cleanliness department. It’s were surface clean but there are some larger maintanence items like the mold all over the bathroom and trims. and outdated smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors (they should be replaced every 10 years to be considered reliable). The beds were comfortable, and when the unit would not cool down the staff brought us extra fans. it should be noted that this unit does not have AC and is far enough off the beach to not get the ocean breeze so it was a very hot stay at night, especially with children.

Great location and quaint house

Property was a bit smaller than the pics made it seem. Cute little place, best for 2-4 people not six, but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless. Pros: super close to the beach and house has 4 beach chairs, umbrellas, and some water/sand toys Cons: Cell phone service for Verizon is horrible inside the house and WiFi can be spotty with multiple people on it. One small towel rack despite plenty of wall space for two more. Kitchen is small to cook so plan on light meals
