Newman stuga på vackra Mount Desert Island

Newman Cottage är ett tre sovrum, ett badrum hemma ligger i Southwest Harbor Maine, på "Quiet Side" av Mount Desert Island. Detta hem är det perfekta valet för den budgetmässiga resenären som inte vill offra komfort över bekostnad. Köket är fullt utrustat och ligger intill matsalen med plats för upp till 8. Det rymliga vardagsrummet gör det möjligt att umgås eller titta på TV i slutet av en hektisk dag. Vardagsrumssoffan omvandlas till en bäddsoffa i stor storlek. Huset rymmer sex till åtta personer med en drottning, en dubbel, två tvillingar och en bäddsoffa. Alla lakan och handdukar tillhandahålls. Newman Cottage har en rätt till vägen till Manset Shore. Bara en kort fem minuters promenad till stranden. Seawall picknickområde och Bass Harbour-fyren ligger bara några minuter bort. Southwest Harbour har cykel- / kajak- / båtuthyrning, Oceanarium, segling, golf, shopping, restauranger, livsmedel, apotek och lekplats. Enkel åtkomst till flera sjöar, cykel- och vandringsleder. Nära Acadia National Park aktiviteter. Bara 20 minuter från Bar Harbor. Se Cadillac Mountain, Thunder Hole, Jordan Pond House eller Park Loop Road. Gå på valskådning eller ta en färja till Swan's Island eller Islesford. Vår egendom är rökfri

Wonderful visit

We had a wonderful visit to Maine and would highly recommend staying at Newmans cottage. We were able to visit Acadia and also spend time exploring the quiet side as well. The hosts and property were great!

Acadia national park trip

The property was perfect. Close to park, easy to find and access, very neat and clean and had everything needed for our stay. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us. The deer on the property each day were a treat to see. Restaurants nearby we recommend are Upperdeck for dinner and Clark Point Cafe for breakfast. Thanks again!

House on the Quiet Side

This house was very nice, clean and quiet. A short walk to beautiful scenery. The host had everything plus more than anyone would want or need for a stay close to Acadia National Park. There is one bathroom which is upstairs.

Perfect stay

Impeccably clean inside. Comfy beds. Small issue with WiFi on arrival but messaged host and received immediate reply. Deer watching everyday right from the porch. Bathroom and all bedrooms on second floor. Fine for us but just in case someone in your group has a hard time with stairs. 100% would stay again!

Pretty cottage setting near Acadia

Very nice cottage. Close to the water, easy to find path down to the shore. Has all the necessities. Had a good week going to different places in Acadia. All rooms and bathroom are up a flight stairs so if you’ll be going up and down older, steeper stairs. Not a problem for us, but might be for some other renters.

Responsive owners, great house

Great house for our group of 4! Beds were comfortable, though not as firm as some might prefer. Very clean, and the house was equipped with everything from games to books and every cooking appliance needed. There's not cable service to the house, so bring your own sign in for your on line streaming apps to access via their Roku TV. And, the owners were very friendly and responsive when contacted via the VRBO app (side note: owner's cell phone does not have a vm to leave messages when you need something) and owners were very helpful during our stay. Thank you!

Great stay!

Great location! I had not realized when booking that the property had a right of way to a beautiful spot on the shore. Even saw a whale one evening and enjoyed the views of Acadia. Everything was as described.

Maine/Fenway First Time

So much to say the location was perfect quiet and roomy! The ocean only five minute walk from the house. We saw deer and the fawns every day and night. Archie’s Lobster nearby with excellent food and great views very casual. Lovely vacation!

First trip to Maine!

This was my first trip to Maine and it was incredible. The house was like stepping into a New England story. It was VERY clean and well appropriated for any of our needs. The beds and furniture were very comfortable and it was so quiet and peaceful. The location was perfect for getting to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, etc . Everything was within a 15 min. drive at most. I highly recommend staying here and we are planning to return!

A Gift to Friends

My family and I have always come to Maine, and specifically, Southwest Harbor. We wanted to share this experience with friends as a retirement and wedding gift for our children's teacher. She came with her husband, daughters, and 2 little ones and the home was perfect! So quaint and clean and the quintessential Maine Cottage. They fell in love and vow to be back!

Rental was as listed. Beautiful cottage with great amenities. Property owner thought of everything and provided a lot of extras. Soaps, shampoo, bug repellent, and lots of other little things. A great place to stay.

Perfect Acadia Family Home

Our family of 5 (kids aged 10, 12, 13) loved our stay at this cottage. We spent days hiking then enjoyed having a big home to relax in each evening. Great outdoor area for the kids and closeby to plenty of activities and hikes. An easy drive to the other side of the island for more hikes. Great hosts, exceptional pricepoint for MDI. THANK YOU.

Great stay on the quiet side

My family and I loved our stay in this little cottage. It had everything we needed for to get away for a few days. We found several great hikes nearby, and it was only half an hour over to all the popular hikes near Bar Harbor. We highly recommend the Ship Harbor hike nearby.
