I mainly rated this a 4 instead of a 5 as I dislike the impersonal, inflexible management style of Vacasa. When I asked questions about the rental, the replies were clearly AI summaries of the listing.Other than that, this is a beautiful home in a fantastic, quiet location. It has many nice touches including plenty of coffee, a well-equipped kitchen, a sweet welcoming gift, great kayaks, and glow in the dark toilet seats! The water comes right up to the base of the stairs at high tide and the seal watching, paddling, and sunrise viewing are fantastic. A few things to know about this property:-The driveway has plenty of room for two large vehicles, though the parking takes a little finesse. -While there are plenty of bath towels, there are no beach towels. -There are plenty of coffee and tea supplies, but other than that just a few spices in the kitchen. It's easy enough to pick up whatever you need, as Belfair groceries are less than 20 minutes away.- There are just a few puzzles, games and books. If coffee table books or David Baldacci in Dutch aren't your thing, plan to bring your own.- The second bedroom is extremely bright and the curtains do not block light at all. It's lovely, but not for those who want to sleep past sunrise.-The hot/cold markers on the back bathroom faucet are reversed.- Operation of the climate control was confusing. There seemed to be two different control systems for each unit and no directions for which one to use or how to use it.

Cute place with a gorgeous view..however steep stairs (56) are difficult to navigate if carrying luggage or an ice chest. I would recommend packing light and only take what you need to the home. Also the siverware drawer is difficult to locate since the drawer is inside another drawer and the drawer front matches the cabinet. The host was good about helping us find it though. Overall a 4 out of 5

Perfect spot to Relax

The place was so peaceful and tranquil. The khakis were a perfect touch after a week long stay at Olympia National Park. Two nights was not long enough. Except long enough for grilling, swimming with seals and khaking! Excellent choice to just be and enjoy life. There are 53 steps down and then back up! Good thing we'd been hiking all week - we were in shape! Thank you, would highly recommend!

The property overall is nice, but it is NOT a pet free property. You cannot bring your dog, but the owners clearly have at least one dog, which has left an unmistakable scent in the hall bathroom & on the couches. My son is highly allergic, so he was on medication & still miserable the entire trip. If you have an issue, don’t expect to hear from an actual human when you contact Vacasa. You’re on your own.

Check-in could be better. You’ll have to wait until the check-in time and that’s stipt at 4pm. You don’t get any sooner than that in the house because of the time clock on the electrical doorpanel. We’ve made contact to the agency that do the booking. And they told us previously the other day that it would be okay to check-in early if the cleaning crew would be ready. When we arrived at 3pm the crew already was gone but we had to wait for a whole hour. We reached out to the agency (Vacasa) and now they told us that we had to wait until 4. So don’t get there earlier before check-in. There not flexible. The house could use a refreshment and some new deck. You have everything u need in the house. Nice little welcome package. Great view in the Hood Canal. Wel love to canoeing and go for a swim. We also did have some nuisance of the Bear Gulch wildfire on the other side of the canal in the NP. The dark and cloudy skies of the fire was going right over our house. Of course the owners couldn’t do anything about that. A contact to reach out to us would be nice. But wasn’t necessary.

Lovely place to stay

This home was so lovely. It is super quiet out there. Very peaceful. The home was stocked with everything you could need and had extra nice touches like furry soft blankets, dimmable lights thorough out. Really helps you relax while on vacation. We could have spent way more time here! Highly recommend.

A special and beautiful place!

Belcasa is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures! The location right on the canal is stunning and the huge windows fill the home with sunshine and light. There are thoughtful and well appointed details throughout the home. I wish I could have stayed longer and spent more time in this amazing location! I hope to come back soon.

Cannot wait for my next stay at this beautiful, tranquil beach sanctuary!

The brightness of the home with its ocean front views is unsurpassable! The water is literally at your feet as you walk down the patio stairs. It was heavenly to be able to pick oysters during low tide from our "front yard" and grill them for dinner! This spot features high quality furnishings, kitchenware and an outdoor grill-all in excellent condition. The home is also charmingly and tastefully decorated. We immediately fell in love with the overall beauty and tranquility of Belcasa! Given the terrain of the property, I would, however, warn guests with any mobility issues regarding the steep stair climb down to Belcasa.

Perfect Place

This place is amazing. The panoramic views of the sound are stunning! The kitchen had all the cooking essentials and the bathrooms were fully stocked with fresh towels, wash cloths and soaps. It’s perfect for kayaking, watching the harbor seals, relaxing or just staying here while you visit other areas outside Seattle. I would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect, serene and quiet getaway with the best view

Being right on the canal with access to oysters for days is everything. Comfy lounge chairs, with a glass of wine, a book and cool breeze and sound of the water is all I needed and wanted and this place delivered. If only the tide cooperated; it didn't go out much while I was there, but when it did, there were mounds and mounds of oysters. The daily/nightly visits by the seals were a great treat, but I know I was the real visitor to them. The place is for 4 guests, it was perfect for 2, if we had 2 other adults it could get just slightly cozy. The stairs down are real, it's no joke, it's nicely lit at night, but definitely would be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. My partner unfortunately has been in a boot for a few weeks, and he sucked it up and slowly got himself up/down. The parking is definitely a tight squeeze, my mid-sized SUV fit, but if you have a larger/wider vehicle, it could prove to be a challenge. I can't wait to come back.
