Det stora sovrummet har en fyra affisch, king size-säng och de andra sovrummen har queen size-sängar och nattduksbord (med lådor). Det stora sovrummet svit har två bekväma sittgrupper och en vacker mästare bad samt en väggmonterad TV. Båda fram-rummen har enastående utsikt över en sjö front. Det tredje och fjärde sovrummet (teaterrummet) har också sjöutsikt, men är inte rum vid sjön. Teatern Rummet har en 55-tums väggmonterad platt-TV, en drottning bäddsoffa och extra sittplatser. De välutrustade köket är ljus, öppen och luftig. Vardagsrummet har lädersits, en platt-TV och en full vägg med fönster som har utsikt över sjön Gaston. I själva verket sitter i hemmet eller ute på terrassen, du tycker du är faktiskt på vattnet! Full storlek tvättmaskin och torktumlare ingår som är en Graco pack n 'play och barnstol. Nere vid sjön finns ett båthus med dockningsområden för din båt och / eller PWC (s) med solstol och skuggade platser. Kajaken finns för din användning, men var vänlig skaffa dina egna flytvästar, och lås upp kajaken innan du avgår. Djupet av vattnet bort av Båthus är omkring 16 fot! Så känn dig fri att hoppa rätt i!

Ungefär en halv mil från hemmet, det finns en gemenskap lansering för att underlätta att få din båt och / eller PWC till båthuset.

Grand Camp

We took our grands. They are tweens. Had a relaxing stay. Watched movies, sunsets, grilled, and built fires in the fire pit. Had s’mores by the fire after dinner. It was a clear night and magical.

Comfortable and spacious accommodations. Right on the lake. Literally only a few steps down which is an incredible treat. South side of the lake which allows for longer daylight time. Incredible experience!

Another wonderful trip to the lake

We’ve stayed at this property multiple times, and it’s always a great time. Unbeatable location on the main lake with the most incredible sunsets. Will definitely stay again!

Amazing vacation

We've stayed here a few times...it's amazing! They have done some updates and upgrades. The new rooftop deck on the the boat dock is perfect for evenings. The kids loved jumping off it as well. It's beautiful inside and out with great views of the lake and sunsets. We love staying here during the summer!

Perfect Small Lake Front Stay

We had yet another wonderful stay here. This is our third time. The upgraded boat house is wonderful. Always clean and owner is very easy to work with and quick to answer any questions.

Amazing View

Beautiful home with an amazing porch and dock. Large, well-stocked kitchen was perfect for cooking in. Comfortable bedrooms and plenty of lounging space. Definitely off the grid - so be sure to bring anything you may need. Suggest bringing along some beach chairs for the dock if you want to spend time down there. We had a great weekend and would definitely go back!

Beautiful Home ,excellent condition ,well landscaped on a beautiful part of the lake. Fully equipped kitchen. Very luxurious bedding. We felt the house was definitely more geared for adults rather than children.

Not super kid friendly

I was unaware when booking that you just get access to the downstairs and the upstairs of the house is locked and closed off. The downstairs area is very nice and does offer plenty of space, was just unaware of the circumstance. The view is wonderful!! We did come with multiple small children and the yard area is not very kid friendly. Very steep and multiple stairs and rocky. We throughly enjoyed the dock and swimming. The closest grocery store is over 30 minutes away so just not super convenient if needing to run out really quick. Very nice of the house to have kid items including pack and play and high chair.

Great Property

Our stay at the Heron House was great. The house was very large, clean and plenty of room out on the deck and dock. Would definitely come back next year if its available. Only recommendation I would have is for the owner to provide more pots and larger skillets for cooking. There was really only one small skillet and was hard to cook breakfast and dinners with one skillet. Overall, its a great place with an unreal view.

Excellent Property and Location

Everything was exceptional - from communications with the owner, cleaning services, and property itself. Instructions for check-in and check-out were very thorough and clear. Great location on Lake Gaston as a launch point for water recreation, including fishing. I highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Rental

Great view of the lake (none better). Excellent accommodations. Marianne was very responsive to our questions and requests. It should be noted that the only entrance available for renters is the lake side (back side) of the house, so you need to carry all luggage and supplies around to the back of the house.

Fantastic Lake Getaway!

The pictures do not do this property justice. My family and I had an absolutely amazing time of relaxation and fun. The house was really nice and clean. The property is hidden away in a gate community that is really nice and beautiful. The dock is great and offers a great spot to fish. We caught catfish, bass and brim right off of the dock. The sunsets are absolutely amazing. One night we watched a movie in the theatre room which was great too. The property owner was very quick to respond to any questions that I had during our stay. We are definitely looking forward to coming back in the future.

Spring break getaway

The location of this rental was awesome! Beautiful views from almost every room and gorgeous sunset views every day of our trip. The only issue we had is that we brought our boat with us and the drive way could not accommodate our vehicle and trailer. Our host gave us a parking option in an empty cul-de-sac near by, so it worked out. This is a must see rental, the pictures don't do it justice.

Excellent location right at the water

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Christmas. The layout of the house was perfect for us - master suite to one side of the house and the other bedrooms to the other, with the living area/kitchen in the middle. Most rooms had gorgeous views of the lake. The porch is fantastic and we sat out a bit even with the cold temps. Our only issue was that the wifi was spotty and didn't work at all on our last day. Other than that, our stay was perfect and we do plan to return (in the summer or fall).

We are a family of 4 who cherish our times at Lake Gaston. Something about being on the water all day really bonds the family, and creates lasting memories. To us, grilling and watching the sun set at the end of a lake day is a treasured family tradition.

We purchased the land in 2000 and built the house in 2004, but didn't finish the lower level until 2014. We have loved sharing the lake house with others, and receiving pictures of fish they've caught, sunsets they have been witness to and treasured family gatherings.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Heron House features an intimate space for smaller friend/family gatherings and allows guests to have the "main lake" experience, without the McMansion main lake pricing, and weekly minimum requirements, while maintaining a luxurious, fun-filled, and relaxing atmosphere. This allows for more meaningful time to spend with your friends and family, and of course allows Heron House to be an affordable vacation destination. The lake is so close that sitting on the patio feels as though you're at the water's edge. Getting to and from the entrance to the home is without steps and the rental is a single level. From the home to the boathouse features minimal stairs for ease of access. And...new for '22...is a wood burning fire pit with plenty of bench seating.
