The balcony and setup of the apartment were amazing. It was a little confusing when we arrived since the address on the listing and the one on the door are different. It would have been helpful to know this upfront. Otherwise, great location away from Avalon, private and the golf cart was fantastic.

Feels like your in another country

Great place. Spacious cute condo. Amazing views night and day. It is a bit separated from town but the gold cart makes it very convenient and only takes about 10 minutes to get to town.

Catalina Getaway

This property was perfect for what we needed. The only complaint we have is that we couldn't stay longer. Everything was clean and comfortable. Having the golf cart included was such a great amenity too. We will definitely try to book this place again when we can return.

Excellent weekend getaway

We loved our two nights at Hamilton Cove. The best part about this place is the incredible view. I loved laying in bed and watching the ocean- so relaxing! We had a few little hiccups(gold cart key needs to be inserted upside down!) but the property manager was able to quickly meet up with us. Overall a great stay and a good value for Hamilton Cove.

The Best of the Best!

The accommodation's were exceptional with breath taking views, very romantic place if your enjoying a beautiful sunset from the balcony or listening the the ocean waves with the french doors open from the master bedroom or the family room. Fun to drive around the Island in the golf cart. The pool is heated, great tennis courts and lovely lush landscape. Close to everything! I would highly recommend this place for your next getaway. Beautiful views

Loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the views. Hated all the stairs. Place was nicely furnished and equipped. Had a problem with the tv. Called management they got on it. No other problems.

Great get away

The condo was great! I have been going to Catalina for 40+ years every couple of years but I've have never stayed out of the main strip. This was a fun experience. The pool and Jacuzzi were great and our boys loved the jungle gym. The best part was having a golf cart to putter around the town. It changes completely your experience and allowed us to visit to stuff I had never seen before. The only down side is there are lot of stairs to get to the front door, so if you have a hitch in your get-along, this could be a challenge. We were okay with it.

This place is amazing!

Great place, and thank you for making sure it has everything needed to stay there. I would highly recommend packing like and doing all your shopping at Vons as they do provide a golf cart. As we came with a big cooler and big suitcase and it was a nightmare going up and down the steps. Keep in mind, I am 52, so the younger generation this is a walk in the park. So next trip I am bringing a carry-on and no cooler and doing my shopping at Vons, which is a 2 min drive away. Not only is it a great place, but the owners also reply super fast, which made everything fantastic.

Catalina Trip

The condo is in a great location. Safe, gated community with great amenities. Loved the basketball courts, fitness center, & pool. Beautiful views out the balcony. Only downside in condo was the uncomfortable bed. I can sleep anywhere and sleep well but tossed and turned as the bed is very hard. We have our names for check in at front gate but the manager did not give them or the gate did not write them down so had to fill out some papers and provide proof of stay. Then once got to the door we had lockbox code for keys but did not know where the lockbox was located. We had to call and text a few times before we got ahold of property manager to find out where located.

Recuperation in Hamilton Cove!

We had the most lovely stay! The bed, sheets, and pillows in this unit were so comfortable we were able to relax so deeply after a week long work conference in Long Beach. The kitchen and bbq grill had everything you need to cook beautiful meals and, having access to the golf cart to tool around on the island was amazing. (Definitely hike Hermit Gulch to Lone Tree Trail to the top of the island for sunset.) We even did our laundry before packing up to leave which makes getting home so much easier. I saw a review or two about the unit being dated but they kind of all are in Hamilton Cove. We ran into a lady one year in the ferry line who owns multiple units in Hamilton Cove and she explained that getting materials ferried over is super cost prohibitive but worse, the HOA won’t so much as let owners change out the glitchy door locks. They make renovations pretty difficult as they see it as preserving the look. We thought this unit was totally comfortable and standard or above for Hamilton Cove. Totally recommend!

Best Getaway Condo

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for our two year anniversary and Valentine’s Day. Check in was easy, just unlock the box and you have your keys. The condo was very nice. A little on the older side of things but overall was very nice. Refrigerator has no water or water filter but has a freezer with ice. Condo comes with a golf cart which was very fun to have. Did not have to refill the cart more than once. The TVS did give us a hassle at first but was able to watch everything perfectly fine. Perfect balcony view. Pool and spa were good and clean. Condo comes with tennis rackets and golf clubs. Only thing is tennis courts do not supply tennis balls and we didn’t see any in the room. In the room there is plenty of kitchen ware, entertainment things such as DVDs for the DVD player, card games, and extra useful items. Overall, perfect for just me and my boyfriend. Again a little outdated items but everything worked as intended. Will definitely stay here again for the privacy away from the island and all the things included with the room.

Rough start, beautiful hide away

Rough start....the instructions for the property were not followed. Texted by property mgr night before about names, sent to Leslie on May 3rd. Arrived and no keys in lock box. After searching for awhile found them in cup holder in golf cart. Went to front door and it was unlocked so not sure how long it was not secure. Had to search for items in condo (instruction book, Hamilton Cove sheet buried under 2yr old travel books in drawer). Roku not hooked up in living room. Cord in another drawer. No dish towels. 3rd day woke by smoke alarm in room sounding for "whole" building, not individual alarm in our room. Thought issue was room alarm since so loud. Security came since I removed to inspect. Security stated another room in building set off their alarm. This would have been good to know. Lamps not working, found screw driver in drawer to tighten handle on frying pan. To loose to use. Pictures on site need updated. Beautiful view. Spent a lot of time on balcony. Thanks for the fans in room. We used them everyday. Beautiful property and the golf cart helped a lot. We booked for our 30th anniversary and 1st time on the island so we enjoyed the island and would like to go back.

We loved it! Super cute condo. The view is amazing, and it’s so nice to have the golf cart, access to the pool and spa as well as a little private beach. We had such a nice time. The owners are so kind and the property manager is very helpful! We would love to come again!!

Mel Dinkel and Leslie Baer Dinkel met on non-other than Santa Catalina Island. A few years later, we were married at Descanso Beach (highly recommended!) in Avalon. Catalina holds so many memories for us, and since we are not on the Island all the time, we wanted to create an 'affordable luxury' accommodation where people could make their own memories! Since lots of families come to Catalina, it had to be fun -- thus, 'La Casa Sirena' (The Mermaid House) which includes both Catalina and Mermaid themes. And now, we have two locations: This one at Hamilton Cove which accommodates up to 4, AND La Casa Sirena at Bahia Vista A-05 which accommodates 6!

We wanted this property to be romantic for couples, and so, we added a super-comfortable KING bed, and a barbecue and lighting to take full advantage of the patio where while dining you will enjoy sweeping ocean views. In short, we wanted our properties to be comfortable enough to be our home away from home, and yours too!
