Chickadee Cottage Àr undangömt och ligger tillbaka frÄn gatan pÄ Ledgelawn Avenue, precis utanför Acadia National Park-ingÄngen och en snabb promenad till affÀrer, restauranger, havet och den kostnadsfria pendelbussen. I anslutning till Àgarens stuga erbjuder Chickadee ett bekvÀmt lÀge för alla sevÀrdheter i omrÄdet.

Excellent location! Comfortable home in quiet area of Bar Harbor. Had the basics — a roll of TP, a roll of paper towels, dish soap, hand soap. Everything else you need to provide (Kleenex, bath soap, salt/pepper, sugar, etc) so plan accordingly. Communication with owner was great.

Great location!

This home is in a great location if you’re looking to hike Acadia. Entrance is super close. The home is also walking distance to Bar Harbor shops and restaurants. House was very clean and cozy. Marie was an excellent host. I would recommend staying here!

A nice 2-story, 3 Bedroom home away from the busy commercial section of town. Only two of us so we stayed upstairs. Kitchen had everything we needed. And the living room was nice for relaxing in. The owners were clear about what the house had. There is only A/C down stairs. But in late spring weather, it was not an issue.We had one issue with the stove and it was literally corrected in 10 minutes. We would stay here again.

Nice location for working and hiking

Quiet cottage perfect for my husband and I’s working vacation! The wifi was fast enough we could work during the day, and location was so close to the park. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. We loved having the washer and drier available as well.

Great Summer Vacation Spot Close to Town

The quaint, quiet cottage was a wonderful get away for our family of four. We enjoyed being so close to town but also being right next to Acadia. The owners were gracious host and we were sad to leave. Look forward to going back some day!

This was a great home base for our family of 4 to enjoy Bar Harbor and Acadia. Easy driving distance into the park and walking distance to Bar Harbor for dinner. Comfortable & convenient

We stayed here with our three boys ages 6 to 11. They loved biking to the nearby tennis courts, playground, and skate park. We were grateful that we could avoid downtown parking struggles by biking to the land bridge and downtown Bar Harbor, and it was great to be so close to Acadia. The host was responsive and we recommend the house to anyone looking for a Bar Harbor stay.

Great Cottage

Great choice very close to sights

We really enjoyed this cottage for our 5 day stay in Bar Harbor. It is clean, comfortable, and appropriately stocked for beds, bath, cooking, etc. Within walking distance from Main St, many restaurants and stores, 1/2 mile from Acadia National Park. So easy to get around and so much to see in this beautiful part of Maine! Thank you Marie for allowing us to stay at Chickadee Cottage!

We have lived in Bar Harbor for over 30 years. Marie began working at the Jordan Pond House during summers, earning money to pay for college. After traveling to France to visit family, a road-trip across the United States, and finishing graduate school she moved to MDI for good. Kyle came to Acadia after graduating from college in the South. He planned to work in different national parks across the country. After working in Glacier National Park in Montana, he headed to Acadia for one season, where Marie and Kyle's paths finally crossed. The rest is history! We feel lucky to call this amazing place home, and could not imagine raising our family anywhere else.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

This property is close to everything wonderful about in-town Bar Harbor, but still quiet and residential-the best of both worlds. You can sleep with your windows open and smell the ocean when you wake. It is modern, clean, uncluttered, and filled with all the amenities you'll need to make your stay relaxing. We have a personal and professional knowledge of the park and MDI, and would love to share our favorite spots to enjoy the park and island with you.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

You won't find an easier, more convenient place to stay in Bar Harbor, if you are a family or a couple! You can walk to the Great Meadow Path right from the cottage, or hop in your car to access the Park Loop Road in 5 minutes, at the end of our street.
