Getaway

Stayed last 2 nights of our vacation here. Was clean with great views. Beach wasn’t nice covered in tree limbs. Front bedroom was hot at night.

Good location.

Clean apartment, good pool, good location. 10 min drive to the exelent clear water beach. Close to Safeway. Not far away from Hana highway, and all other attractions. Nice breakfast view, and sunset from balcony. Beach chairs, umbrella, cooler was really nice to have.

This apartment is expensive for what you get (the photos look gr8 but it is starting to look tired)

The photos look gr8 but it is starting to look tired: Furnishings: - Bar chair had huge hole & others with serious wear & tear (owners advised) - Rugs in lounge & back bedroom grubby & stained (owners advised) Back Bedroom: - No window coverings to keep out light. Car park lights stream in all night & ltd privacy from external corridor. Other units have window coverings. - Noisy – 4 am departures for Haleakala sunrise & feral roosters crowing all night - Tiny single beds - Centre light not working - Ltd wardrobe space (6 items?) Gr8 drawer space - Window label “window will not open” so no cool cross breeze (only window on the back wall of apt) - Greasy dust on Window screens Loft Bedroom: - Âœ of wardrobe taken up by a bedframe – limited space to put things without tripping over - Comfortable King bed - No central light (dim at night) Bathrooms: - small & airless (intolerable in summer) Kitchen: - kettle missing (owner replaced) - dishwasher not cleaning well (no instructions to clean filter) - oven very clean - grubby floor Washer & Dryer: - Washing left in dryer & lint collector full - Large machines Towels: - Gr8 supply of beach towels Everything labelled (even stairs): - Crosses line from informative to institutional. Instruction manual perhaps? Air Conditioning: - We rented 4 Maui apts. in Jan. & a/c was inclusive. This was the most expensive and a/c is extra - Not needed in January in the evening if weather’s cool - During the day - hot & stuffy To cool apt open all louvers: Upstairs - Open using the long wooden rod in wardrobe, being careful not to fall down stairwell Downstairs - window labelled “Do not open window locked for security”. Without opening it is hot & airless Back bedroom - window label “window will not open” so no chance of a cooling cross breeze (only window on back wall) Front Door Entry: - Hard 2 find Instructions on side of fridge (on front door perhaps?) - lock difficult to close Maintenance: - When we arrived they were fixing a tap - One day we found a note on the door advising workmen would be coming to do some work on the Lānai & we did not need to be there. We advised the owners we did not want the intrusion & asked them to reschedule. 2 guys turned up anyway. After, owners failed 2 appreciate our concern over matter Lānai & Vista – Gr8 Wi-Fi – Gr8 Pool & BBQ –Gr8 Beach Park & Public Tennis Courts: Gr8. Large grassland area perfect for playing tag etc. Communications - respond quickly

Beautiful property with gorgeous view of sunsets at night. Pool and hot tub were well-maintained including the entire property access to the beach was literally steps away from the condo. We would absolutely stay again.

Glad we booked a 2 bedroom!

We loved our stay at Luana Kai! The suite was as described, spacious and well equipped for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Beautiful view of beach, grounds and pool from the lanai where we spent a lot of time. I had originally been looking at 1 bedroom condos with a sofa bed, and my husband reminded me that teenagers like to sleep in late and leave their stuff everywhere, so we found this great 2 bedroom condo!I was happy when we arrived to find that there was adequate dish soap, paper towel and even laundry soap, as I thought we'd have to buy those from the listing description. The fridge had lots of leftover condiments, and many spices in the drawer, so didn't need to buy all those either. It was so convenient having our own laundry machines, and the barbecues in the pool area were always clean and at least a couple available when we needed one.The only suggestion I would make, would be some sort of blinds or curtains for the sliding door, as the late afternoon sun really heated the condo up. The breeze through from the sliding door to the window in the front bedroom was great at cooling it off after sunset though, and several fans were available also.We loved that the location was so central to everything around the island, but still having a beach right out front to walk or splash in the water. This was an amazing accomodation for our trip to Maui!

This was a very clean condo. Advertised photos were accurate. It was warm upon arrival, but cooled down after opening the windows and screen door (late May). There are ceiling fans in each room and two portable floor fans. The furnishings on the deck are comfortable with a great view. The complex is very well maintained with a clean pool and nice staff.

Great Stay!

This condo is beautifully decorated. Comfortable with a great view. It has everthing you need for a wonderful time. Very well stocked. We did not feel air conditioning was necessary and we were comfortable with the breeze and fans. Grounds and pool kept in excellant shape.

Great retreat

This was a great location, short walk to the beach and beach combing. The pool was really nice, and clean, as well as the hot tub. Family friendly, no problems having children out and about playing, though we had none ourselves with us. Just all around, relaxed, and well run. The grounds were being constantly maintained (in a good way). Sitting out on the porch in the morning before the pool opened was really nice, good size walk-out lanai for each condo. Just had a great time, and would stay here again. The condo was a two bedroom, the loft bedroom was so charming. This was perfect for our party of three, and we didn't feel crowded at all. We could have had another friend or two join with the space and layout. Loved it.

Kihei adventure

Beautiful condo. Parking was good. Condo complex was quiet even though there was a nice community pool with jacuzzi.The lanai was large and accommodating with a great lawn and ocean view.The only problem is no air conditioning in the downstairs bedroom. Kihei is too warm to not have AC in every bedroom. TV in that same bedroom didn’t work. We would not recommend this unit only because of the bedroom with no Air conditioning. We did not sleep well and it’s WINTER.

Great Location, Ocean view, & Pool

We stayed in this Kihei Condo for 3 nights in September 2024 and the weather were great, particularly for using the pool & hot tub. Kihei is centrally located on Maui and this unit has an ocean view. Plenty of parking on the property. The unit was not cleaned upon our arrival and the owner offered a partial refund for the inconvenience.

Great Location for Maui Vacation

We stayed in the Condo in March of 2024. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage daughters, so the loft master bedroom and second bedroom with 2 twin beds were perfect for us. It is an older condo, but it is well maintained and furnished. The balcony view is great, overlooking and pool and has a view of the ocean. The condo is north facing, so it stays relatively cool because it doesn't get beating sun like the condos across the courtyard do in the afternoon. We did not pay the additional charge for the A/C, and were comfortable the whole trip with using the supplied fans. Its only a short walk to get to the beach, which was beautiful to watch the sunsets and see lots of turtles basking in the sun during the day. Condo was well equiped with Beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards and umbrellas - everything you need for your day trips to the beach. The only negative my daughters had, was that the wifi was a little slow. Great condo, great communication with the owner - we would definitely stay there again.

Nice family vacation

We stayed at your lovely property with our granddaughter and her husband. The condo was in a great location and there are beautiful views from the lanai. The unit was comfortable enough although the twin beds are in terrible shape and definitely require new mattresses. The blowdryer was broken and not usable, the umbrella was not useable either as it was broken and the “ok” button on the tv remote was broken as well so we could not watch tv. I sent a message to the host about these issues, after we arrived, and did not receive a reply. These issues did not stop us from having a great vacation but I mention these details so they can be addressed for the next visitors.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We wanted a breathtaking oceanview, tennis, , and lovely grounds, amenities and wonderfull garden. We can windsurf or kitesurf right in front of our condo, with less crowds, since it has private parking. The drive to the 'kite beach' in Kahului is only 15 to 20 minutes, and Kihei offers many more ammenities than Kahului or Paia. We prefer to weather in Kihei, since it is the dry side of the Island.
