Det första sovrummet har en full size-sÀng, skrivbord och skrivbord, med flera takfönster och franska dörrar till trÀdgÄrden. Den andra har en futon soffa, stol, en dubbelsÀng, handgjorda byrÄ och skrivbord, och en direkt solig utsikt över trÀdgÄrden. Second time staying here and it was just as amazing as the first! Great location, great amenities. If it’s just 2 of you, it’s perfect. The garden is gorgeous! The hosts are super sweet and give you your privacy. I highly recommend this place.

Santa Barbara Wedding

This property was perfect for our short stay to Santa Barbara. The location is amazing, just steps away from the beach. The gardens surrounding the property are wonderful. Very clean and the bed was very comfy. Mary was very easy to contact if we needed anything.

Great Location

This 2 bedroom guest house was perfect for out weekend get away. Mary was an excellent host and gave us great recommendations for local sights. We would stay again if we came back.

Cute, 2 Bed, 2 Bath property.

The property was very cute and a very good size for the money. My only comment is if you have large heavy luggage on rollers, it was very difficult to get your luggage in the room because of the walkways obstructions.

Wonderful and quiet

Wonderful cottage feel, two rooms each with their own bathroom and desks. Larger room has garden view and fold out couch/bed for that relaxing living room feel. And you couldn’t ask for better location near Mesa steps quick access to everything.

Santa Barbara Hidden Gem...For Real!

Perfect location in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood and a short walk to stairs that lead to the beach. It's also an easy walk to Cliff Drive that leads to the stunning waterfront offering just about everything you need with gorgeous parks along the way.Mary is the perfect host and was available immediately for questions after we arrived. She also provided hiking poles which we used every day as we explored the trails above Santa Barbara and Montecito. We will be back!

Loved it!

The cottage was just perfect for our stay. The location is great! We enjoyed the beaches and walks in the general area but were also close enough to the main part of town to enjoy it as well.

This is great little 2 bedroom in a very nice neighborhood. Beautiful gardens in front and back. The owners are very helpful, yet respectful of renter’s privacy. I have stayed here twice & hope to stay again!

Lovely place by the beach

Loved our stay in this bright place overlooking the garden

With skylights in both of the main rooms and a bathroom, this place was bright and cheerful. We looked out over the garden, which we enjoyed. Also, the neighborhood was lovely. Our host was friendly and easy to communicate with. We would love to stay here again!

Beautiful Place

Better than described, wonderful hostess who took care of any questions or concerns. Located in a nice neighborhood with private entrance, homey and comfortable with everything you need for a stay. Santa Barbara is a beautiful town, it is located in a convenient location, near beach heartbeat! Garden was nice place to sit in sun in mornings and watch birds. Loved it and will stay again in a heratbeat!

We were comfortable, overall. Temps were a bit warm (thankfully the nights were cool with doors open). The property is a bit older, so don’t expect modern conveniences. LOTS of light, beautiful gardens, and Mary was very responsive to our needs.

Great place in beautiful Santa Barbara

We had a fantastic time at Mary’s place. Mary and her husband are very kind hosts and made us feel very welcome. We walked to the Mesa beach every day, watched the surfers - and once even walked all the way to the pier. The neighborhood is extremely quiet, beautiful and safe. Supermarket and restaurants also in walking distance. As mentioned there is no real kitchen , but we managed breakfast on the peaceful deck and in the garden, which is stunning. Thank you very much, Mary, and we would definitely rent this wonderful place again anytime!

Cozy and Comfortable

We were out and about and really only at the house to sleep. It was comfortable for 3 friends to catch up and enjoy each others company. The pool was too cold for us to swim in but we enjoyed the outdoor area and sat in the sun by the pool one afternoon. Owner was responsive and friendly and issued a prompt credit when she discovered the hot water heater wasn't working during our stay.

Uncomfortable Beds

Three adults. Beds were all way too soft. We left early since our backs were all aching. Location is fine if you like walking in the neighborhood; 241 stairs in each direction to the beach (only walkable at low tide) or don't mind driving to all sites of interest. Mary was nice and location is fine but old. Needs updating but okay for maybe parents and small kids.

Lovely Location in Santa Barbara/West Mesa

You can't get a better location for the price when looking for a rental near the ocean. The garden is lovely and the hosts were very accommodating! The photos are accurate and the furnishings are fun and artsy. It was a great base to use for exploring the area. The Santa Rita wine region is less than 45 minutes away. Instructions were clear and check-in and check-out were easy. A few things to note: if you have back issues, you'll find the mattresses (double bed & twin bed) uncomfortable. They are soft and unsupportive. We did not use the futon. If you're picky about the type of pillow you use, bring your own. There are some things in the listing that we didn't find in the rental. A first aid kit, fireplace, washer, dryer, and dishwasher are all listed but not found in the rental unit. The smoke detector was missing... the base was still mounted but the unit wasn't there. We did not see a carbon monoxide detector in the unit either. A heater is listed but there is no furnace control. It was lovely to sit outside and eat at the picnic table when the weather was nice! The outside table is the only dining space available. The listing asks renters to enjoy the outside areas after 1pm so we ate breakfast and lunch in the room picnic-style on the bed. The weather was cool-ish during our visit and there was only one day when we would have liked air conditioning in the rental unit. It seems that most homes in the area do NOT have a/c, as the weather usually makes it unnecessary. If you're from a climate where you're used to controlling the temp inside by use of a/c and a furnace, you may find the lack of control in the rental annoying. The rooms themselves were clean and bright. The owners ask you to wash your own dishes by hand before leaving, and provide dish soap and a drying rack in the bathroom. We did find that the previous guests had put away their coffee mugs dirty and left one dirty glass in the drying rack, which was irksome in the 'age of covid'. We sanitized everything before using it by boiling water in the teapot and soaking the utensils and cups we wanted to use. The owners provide one washcloth and one bath towel per guest for our 6 day/5 night stay; it would have been nice to have more than one each, or access to the washer/dryer to clean them. Two beach towels were provided. As a Vrbo host myself, I notice EVERYTHING... my notes above informational, not complaining! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this rental :)

Idylischer, erholsamer Ort direkt am Pazifik

kleine Wohnung mit 2 Zimmern zum wohlfĂŒhlen und entspannen. Nur wenige Meter zum Pazifik in einem ruhigen Wohngebiet. Pool kann mitgenutzt werden. Santa Barbara schnell erreichbar. Wir haben uns bei Mary sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt.
