Character ground floor apartment, lived in by the owner for many years. It is charming, has a comfortable feel and you can tell that it has been lovingly looked after. Very spacious and in a very quiet safe area. Location is superb - 15-20 minutes walk to all major sites, various bus stops within 5 minutes walk, supermarket at the end of the street, numerous good restaurants with 5-10 minutes walk. Owner is lovely and communications are excellent/very prompt. Let me reiterate that this is a character property and so those who crave the most modern and up-to-date amenities (coffee machine, microwave, handy plugs for devices) may wish to look elsewhere (and probably pay a lot more). We would definitely stay again. The owner has compiled an extensive book of Florence by area, restaurants, shopping etc which we found very helpful (and very accurate) - her recommendations were excellent.

We had a fantastic stay! The property is a beautiful period home with plenty of character and charm. Communication was excellent throughout, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The location is perfect—close to everything but still peaceful. This was a charming property. We especially liked the outdoor space in the patio. Most attractions are within a 20-25 minute walk. Alessandra was a great host and provided us with good local recommendations. We would recommend this property for anyone spending time in Florence.

Parfait

A part les difficultés pour arriver au logement pour éviter les routes interdites de l'hypercentre, nous avons passé 5 jours magnifiques à Florence. Gare à 10 minutes à pied pour aller passer une journée à Pise. AccÚs au centre à pied. Pas besoin de reprendre la voiture. Parking privé payant. Nous n'avons pas utilisé le jardin car il y avait trop de moustiques. Belle résidence et bon accueil à notre arrivée. Nous recommandons.

This was a great property for our family of four. It was close to the train, and easy walk everywhere, and close to a laundromat as we were mid trip and had A LOT of laundry to do. Overall it was excellent!

Downtown Florence, Italy

Wanted to stay in the city so I could do a deep dive into Florence. Great location to stay at that allowed us to walk to all the sights, eat meals, partake of adult beverages without having to worry about driving and parking. Once we had seen about every thing in Florence, we rented a vehicle and explored Tuscany using the private parking at the residence. Everything went according to plan. Alexandria was the perfect host.

Charming, Spacious Apartment

This well-equipped, spacious apartment offers a comfortable respite from the crowds of tourists elsewhere in the city. In the Mimi apartment we enjoyed a glimpse into the authentic Florence, as the home retains the furnishings and decorations of the family that once resided there. We felt entirely at home there, and also enjoyed the amenities of the neighbourhood, especially the nearby pasticceria where we had our breakfast cappuccini and brioche each morning. Alessandra was an attentive host, offering an efficient and congenial check-in and helping us with arrangements for getting to the airport. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A Home Away from Home for a month

I found Mimi Apartment to be perfect for me. It is charming, clean, and very comfortable. It is spacious and furnished with quirky antiques that make it feel like visiting your Italian grandma. Beds were very comfy and kitchen has the basics so I could cook a meal there. Thank you Alessandra for being responsive when I had questions. Loved the location/ quiet and very walkable to all the historic sites. I’ll be back!

Very happy; would like to return

We were very happy in this apartment and would like to come back. The apartment is in a great location; a quiet street only ten minutes walk from the Duomo.There is a good grocery store 2 blocks from the apartment; Thanks to the host, who provided a notebook of useful information, we found a great bakery, and a fish shop.It has a beautiful private patio/garden. Good Internet throughout the apartment.The bed was comfortable and extra linens and towels were provided. The kitchen was spacious and equipped with all cooking needs, esp. a good oven.We were there in winter, and with the tiled floors, were a bit cold: Bring an extra sweater and some slippers if you stay in December.We made several last minute changes in our plans and the host was very accommodating.

Das Appartment ist wunderschön, die Lage optimal, mit Parkplatz fast vor der HaustĂŒre. Ich kann es nur empfehlen und wĂŒrde es auch jederzeit wieder mieten. Ein Tipp, wenn man in Florenz unterwegs ist, keine Wertsachen mit sich tragen. Die Gefahr, dass man bestohlen wird, ist sehr groß.

Amazing stay

This was the perfect location for our time in Florence. It was close to the main train station for our day trips and was in a spot that wasn't busy, but extremely walkable to a lot of the places we wanted to see. The apartment itself was very cozy and had everything we needed. Alessandra was extremely helpful in everything from the check in process to great recommendations. If I get the pleasure to come back this will be where I want to stay again. Highly recommend. Thank you Alessandra!

Lovely old-fashioned apartment

We spent just over a week in Alessandra’s spotless and characterful apartment. The location is convenient for the station and about a 20 minute walk from the centre. Check-in and communications in general were seamless, the apartment was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the enclosed garden complete with persimmon tree. The only improvement might be more comfortable beds (though the linen was perfect), and to have one room with twin beds instead of a double. The listing says it sleeps five when in fact as three individual adults we didn’t have sufficient space as the pull out chair/bed is only suitable for a child. Would recommend this property without hesitation.

Location, security and fabulous ambience

The apartment has a family tie that went back generations. It has an intimate family setting. It met all our needs and we were able to communicate any of our concerns with the owner. She immediately responded. We felt very well cared for.

A great experience overall

Alessandra was actually waiting for us on the street so that she could open the parking gate for us. She gave great advice on restaurants, shops and attractions to visit, but, furthermore, welcomes us into her childhood apartment. Spacious, well-organized, with good air conditioning in one bedroom and the kitchen. A wonderful stay at a great location. Would definitely recommend.

House is beautiful on a nice neighbourhood and close to everythinng.parking was not available so has to do private parking garage for 30 Euros each night.Host was nice and very helpful.
