Accommodations: Garden Maisonette - 2 Bedrooms - 1 Bath - (Sleeps 2-4)

Photo 1 - Islington London Vacation Rental This garden maisonette is located in a peaceful Georgian enclave in the heart of central London. It is a stylish, airy and modern space, designed by award-winning architects. It is also extremely comfortable. I live here half of the year (I'm a filmmaker and am often away on long shoots) so this is very much a loved home full of character and interesting artefacts from around the globe. The maisonette opens out onto a beautiful garden with outdoor lighting and heaters which can be enjoyed for much of the year. The ground floor comprises a big open plan living room, dining area and kitchen with a stunning glass conservatory and limestone floor which has underfloor heating throughout - so your bare feet will always stay toasty warm even in the depths of winter! The first floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom. The bathroom is brand new and again designed by architects. It's a "wet room" with a huge rain shower, oversized sink, heated slate floor and heated towel rail. The master bedroom overlooks the tranquility of the garden which backs onto a private cobbled mews and has the original wooden flooring. The front bedroom is extremely quiet and also has a big window and wooden flooring. I use this room as a study but there's a sofa which converts into a comfortable double bed. The maisonette is in a Grade II listed townhouse set in a leafy, safe conservation area of Georgian London. Whilst the area is very quiet, the vibrant neighbourhoods of Islington, Bloomsbury and Clerkenwell are just five minutes away, offering theatres, cinemas, museums, a fantastic range of shops, bars and restaurants. With King's Cross and the Angel tube stations less than ten minutes walk away this is the ideal hub for almost anywhere in London. There is a historical walk from my doorstep through Clerkenwell past St Pauls Cathedral to the River Thames and Tate Modern. It is also a few minutes walk away from one of London's most authentic "cockney" markets - where you can still buy a freshly cooked lobster for £5 at weekends! I am happy to welcome 1-4 people. I will adjust the rates accordingly. Please note the maisonette is not suitable for toddlers as the staircase is open-plan and there are no child gates fitted.

£850-£1050/wk, longer stays negotiable.
50% of rental required at booking. Remaining 50% plus £200 deposit
(to cover damages, telephone and final cleaning) required one mo prior to
Rental. I accept bank transfers or cheques in Sterling.
