Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 1998

Grandma and her two daughters, Wanda on the left and Connie on the right, find a time away at Bandon with family and friends the most relaxing and rejuvenating vacation imaginable. We enjoy the Bandon Library where books or movies can be purchased for $1 or borrowed. We love hunting for agates on the beach, long walks and making great food for everyone who comes. We always have fish and chips and crab cocktails in Old Town and browse the many shops there. Bandon is a very friendly town and just loves dogs, too. It has amazing beaches, parks for kids and has magnificent weather. Bandon is the home of Bandon Dunes and several other world class golf courses. Come and be our guests! You won't be disappointed.

Why the Owner Chose Bandon

Grandma owned this pristine location in the jetty community near the lighthouse for 40 years and finally built a home to enjoy and share with guests 11 years ago. It has become a family favorite for many families because it is right on the ocean, is accesible for young and old alike, and has every comfort of home and more.

The Unique Benefits of this House

Bandon has more sunny days on the coast than any other Oregon coast city. Even if we chance on stormy day, the view of the ocean with its huge waves is fantastic. There are lots of board games, puzzles and books to read. The wireless internet has been a fun addition for us, too.
We have enjoyed renting a kayak and heading up the Coquille River from Old Town. We had salmon jumping out of the water by our kayak. Seals were swimming around us too. We also spotted a bald eagle nearby. This was a 70 degree morning on December 30th. Any time of year is great in Bandon.
