Check in was smooth as long as you follow the instructions and understand how Parisian entry doors work. What a relief to have the subway entrance directly across the street from the apartment, in case you have alot of luggage or you're just exhausted from a day of excursions. The loft is small and simple, and is tucked away in a small courtyard that is shared with the businesses in the street and a few offices in the building. Be sure to lower the blinds during day hours if you need privacy, otherwise you will feel a bit exposed. Perfect for a single traveler or couple; would not recommend for a larger group, as the layout doesn't allow for much space to accommodate many people. For the bed, you will need to be comfortable climbing to the top of the loft every night and there is little headspace once you are up there. Otherwise it is simple and comfortable. The outdoor space is nice to have a cup of coffee. I took license to do a bit of gardening and add some plants from a local market. Right outside the building's door are plenty of shops and eateries. A laundromat is a 4 minute walk if you'd like to dry your clothes faster in a machine dryer. There is a stationary, a few copy shops, a carrefour and Picard grocery, as well as a full street of local food shops that also hosts the Saturday flea market. The area is always busy and with that I felt safe to come in or go out later in the evening.

Fantastic location—just 5 minutes from metro stations and 10 minutes to Gare du Nord. The space was spotless and beautifully designed, making for a very comfortable stay for our party of 7. Communication with the host was excellent throughout. The only downsides were the steep stairs to the lower level without railings and the check-in process, which required an 8-minute walk to a grocery store to retrieve the key. Overall, it was a great space for our group and I would come back here again.

The place was so beautiful! We wish we stayed longer, and the host waited for us and kept in touch the whole time. 100% recommended.

We wanted a convenient location to Sacre Couer and other Montmarte attractions. With a sweet courtyard, nearby grocery, incredible bakery, and many restaurants - this was the place. Shared with the host how a few things could make the stay perfect and he quickly responded. Would absolutely stay here again.

This place was exactly like the listing - super cute, in a lovely building in a fantastic area between Pigalle and Montmarte, very lively with lots of shops and restaurants around. There was an elevator that was supremely helpful in bringing my bags up and down. Super easy communication and flexibility. Highly recommend for a week in Paris!

This flat is the perfect area for cafes, pastries and breads and metro stations. It was very easy to travel to different sites. The area is just lovely and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. The host communicated well and was a pleasure to meet with. The flat is conveniently located on the 1st floor and is very clean. We would stay here again on our next visit.

First, the management company (Veeve) had an extraordinary staff. Questions and issues were always addressed within minutes as they were on call. They were also perfectly punctual for check-in and check-out. The apartment is in Montmartre, which is like Brooklyn in terms of its neighborly feel, small boutiques and unassuming restaurants (even the couple I saw that are Michelin rated!). The building has a wonderful, large courtyard, and the street itself is relatively quiet, so it's quite peaceful and bright. The flat itself was very large for our family of four. The space allowed us to spread out and lounge around or work. It was incredibly cozy and comfortable. By total chance, we learned our friends were in Paris from Canada and we were able to invite them over for dinner and drinks on their last night. It was magical. As you can see from the photos, the place has a ton of character, and like anything with a lot of character, it won't be suitable for everyone. I slept in the downstairs bedroom, as my kids found it creepy because it feels like a basement. The downstairs tub has no curtain or shower head holder, so you can really only use it for baths. Both bathrooms appear to be the product of an artists DYI project, so that may not be your thing if you like a modern, spotless bathroom. Other than those things, the place is really wonderful. My friends described it as quintessential Paris. C'est Bon!
