We have a reunion at this beautiful Mt. Villa. This rental property just take your breath away. You can always find things to do inside this nice vacation home, and enough room for everyone. We will definitely consider come back. One of our friend's kid suggests to come back once a month. Thank you Martin for opening up his vacation home to share with other people. We had a blast at your Mt. Villa

Well... I will certainly try to keep this short & sweet as to not bore the reader. The home itself is nothing less than emaculate. The imentites were never ending. The grounds and views are breathtaking. the spaciousness afforded those to mingle and others to find some zen time without any interruptions. The location is conveniently located near all the extra curricular activities that Big Bear offers. For whatever the occasion one has in mind the "Villa" will surpass all expectations, this I can assure you. I went for a small family reunion including children and we all left in love with the "Villa" and "stilla" loving family (that is a little humor). There is absolutely no room for disappointment with this rental, but endless room for having an unforgettably wonderful time. Lastly, the sweet part, Martin, the ower could not have been more accomodating thru out the rental process and the stay. He was as an absolute pleasure, the icing on the cake! I will be a repeat renter.Should any potential renter like to contact me with any inquiries, please dont hesitate to contact my email.

I rented the mountain villa for a family getway. The property was nice, very large, and very comfortable and inviting. There are different levels so you can spread out and relax in private areas. Great for large families with kids. Large entertainment room downstairs with TV and pool table. The 4 person hot tub was great to relax in. The kitchen had all that you need. The wood and stone work in the house was amazing. Great big fireplace in the living room with pre-cut wood making the living room very comfortable. Short 5 minute drive to the lake and stores. A 10-12 min drive to closest marina and also Big Bear Village to enjoy the restaurant and bars. The owner was easy to work with and communication was great. The only constructive criticism that I have is that the checkout was too early at 10am and the kitchen and window cleaning needed a bit more attention to details. Being such a large house, I do understand the logistic issues with housekeeping. Other than that I would definitly recommend the mountain villa to my friend and family.
Owner response:It is of the utmost importance that I provide the ultimate experience for my guests. A clean and tidy house is just one of the standards that I maintain. As a result of this review, I have contacted the owner of the cleaning service who assures me that The Mt Villa will receive the utmost in attention to detail. Keeping windows clean on a 3 story house with so many windows is a challenge, especially after a rain. We do a thorough window cleaning 2x annually, and clean the high-traffic accessible windows upon each house cleaning. To be more accomodating, the checkout time has been bumped to 11am except when back-to-back guests are scheduled, in which case a 10am checkout is required.

My wife and I stayed at Mt Villa with friends for our Anniversary this past June. What an amazing place! The toughest part each day was wanting to leave the house to get out and about in Big Bear. The home was impeccably-maintained, inviting and fun. We enjoyed lounging in all the different areas of the house, from the front and back decks, the spa, living room, upstairs lounge and downstairs rec room with pool table, all with fireplaces! Thanks Martin and Michelle for an amazing mini vacation. We can't imagine staying anywhere else in Big Bear and can't wait to return soon!

My family's stay in Big Bear started out with quick and thorough communication from Martin when we booked the Villa. It is a well-maintained property. AlthoughI had planned many activites throughout our stay-my children did not want to leave this house! Every spot invited you to lounge and relax. There was so much room. We could gather in either one of the sitting rooms or play games together in the Game Room. The kitchen is so spacious and has what you need to do any cooking. The WiFi connected easily with our laptop and Wii. The lake is so close but you are out of traffics way. There are markets/stores/restaurants one block away should you need/want/forget anything. The hike behind the house offers 360 degree views. There is so much to do in this area whether it be Summer or Winter and this house is in the perfect location. Once you stay you will not want to leave! I have raved about this to my family and friends who are ready to book their own stay. I never thought of Big Bear as a vacation destination being that I live only two hours from there but I felt like I was a world away. I am hoping to make this an annual trip with my family. Thank you Martin !

Our family loved staying at Mountain Villa. It is so true that the pictures don't capture the grandeur and beauty of the home. We enjoyed hanging out in both the great rooms and there was plenty of seating for our seven adults. The living room/dining rooms has great views in both directions and the downstairs family room was great for playing pool or watching movies. The home was beautifully decorated. The furniture was high quality and lovely. It was very clean and had nice sheets and towels. The decks were especially wonderful and we enjoyed the jacuzzi with the beautiful view up the hillside. Martin was wonderful to work with, helpful and very responsive to communicate with. We would definitely recommend this home (already have) and would stay there again. We loved our breakfast at Grizzly Manor Cafe and especially enjoyed the Castle Rock hike.

The house was so luxurious and even at full capacity, it didn't feel like we were all crammed into one space. Still plenty of room to spread out. We LOVED the plaid blankets in the living room; I'm trying to find one as soft as those. This was the group's second time to rent out this particular home and I think it could be the beginning of a yearly tradition. We're all still talking about it! Hope to be able to stay here again next year!

The Mountain Villa COMPLETELY exceeded all expectations. We had a group of 12 stay for 2 nights and had an unbelievalble time. The layout of the space was perfect for entertaining and spread out enough for everyone to have their space. We are already looking at dates to book in the future. Thank you for an amazing time and look forward to visiting again.

Everything about this cabin was amazing! From the spacious living room, to the great style of the house, there was a little bit of everything for everyone. We were even able to sled down the mountain behind the house, and take a fabulous hike to the top. Everything we needed was inside the cabin, and the village/Market was only a couple miles away, putting this cabin in a great location. I would definitely recommend this great cabin to anyone who is looking for an awesome weekend. Thank you Martin for making this experience great.

Everything from the communication of the owner to the property with all of its beauty, charm, luxury, and tasteful decorations made for a fantastic trip. We were a group of 7 and we all found time to take advantage of each and every floor and room. The rumpus room kept us occupied for hours while others chose to read and gaze at the views from the third floor onto the mountains. In the living room area we had a roaring fire and gathered for games and hot chocolate. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a pre Thanksgiving dinner. It really had something for everyone with style and luxury but relaxing comfort. This is the place to stay in Big Bear! Close to all yet private and a lovely mountain trail behind home for romantic walks and just steps away from the breathtaking Lake views. Thank you again Martin for opening up your home.
