Location: Angel Fire, New Mexico, USA (Only 7/10 of a mile from chairlift and base of mountain)
Accommodations: House, 4 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths (Sleeps 10-12)
Keywords: House
The whole family can be together here--but there is plenty of private space as well. The kitchen, living and dining are all in one big room, so the cooks are not isolated from the rest of the group. There is a 42" HDTV with an HD DVD player and an extensive DVD and VHS library. The house is located on a dead end road, so there is little traffic...very peaceful and quiet, and less than a mile from the major chairlift and base of mountain.
The two level floor plan includes two bedrooms, one bath and kitchen/living/dining on main floor and two bedrooms, one bath and large loft on the top floor, for a total of 2800 sq. ft. There are 2 queen beds and 2 doubles; also a double air bed in the loft area. Newly remodeled with hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.
The ski area is located less than a mile down the road with a multitude of winter activities. The championship golf course is just 2.5 miles from the house and is open from mid-May thru mid-October. During non-skiing months, there is plenty of other activities in the area as well. Northern New Mexico is a unique and very special place...visiting here is well worth the trip.
(Unfortunately RV parking is not available)
There is a small apartment on bottom floor that is permanently rented out, with one tenant.

What a perfect place to spend a college reunion with old friends! Tons of room, soaring wall of windows and a great location with walking trails. We shared fun bbq dinners outside under the pine trees and the lovely pots of geraniums on the large, furnished deck. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the huge rock fireplace on cool evenings. The kitchen was well equipped and the house met all our needs. We will definitely be back.

my family had a great time staying in this house, which is in a great location-close to the ski area, but in a very peaceful, secluded setting. nice layout, with awsome views.

The owner of this house failed to mention that her father lives downstairs until we had already rented the house. This not only made the house feel very unprivate due to sharing the washer and dryer with him, but everyday about 6:30am he would open the very loud automatic garage door, which is located directly below the master bedroom, then he would let the car warm up for an extended period before the loud garage door would close again. This may be okay if you don't mind waking early on your vacation, but was not expected. The dining table shown on the deck in the pictures was actually located on the private lower deck just outside the father's living room. Other than that, the house was in a good location and comfortable.
Owner response:This guest and family stayed in the winter..outdoor furniture is in storage then, as it is way too cold to sit outside. Deck furniture is only for summer months, and is located on upper deck available for guests during the warmer months. Also, his wife was aware of my dad living downstairs and okayed the arrangement. She obviously didn't share that with her husband. Also, my dad does not ever use washer and dryer.
