Cute place but owner unreliable

True to description, this place was clean and brand new. The owner gave me a verbal agreement we could stay 4 nights. After the first night, he said we could only stay for only 3 - sorry - he made a mistake. The studio is next to a street that has loud cars traveling on it all night - not my idea of a quiet retreat.
Owner response:This is not the truth...This couple spoke to me on the phone while i was driving. I told them it may be available for the dates but to send me an email so when i am in front of the computer i can give them a definitive response followed by a rental agreement and credit card authorization. This is our protocol to avoid these situations. We do not take cash. They dont send an email and just show up. They call me and tell me they are on island and want to pay cash. At this point they basically con me in to allowing them to stay. I told them i am not sure how long it is available but they can stay the first night as a favor. But i will have to check when they have to leave. I call them the next day and inform them that they can only stay three nights. They left the money on the bed consisting of change, a bunch of ones and fives. These people were like gypsies and if i could do it all over i would not have tried to help them. Especially after they tried to hurt my business. Who does something like this?
