Lovely and CLEAN!

Guest: Oregon visitor (S. CA)
Date of Stay: 03/02/11 Review Submitted: 05/18/11

My husband and I have stayed in this home TWICE and have booked it for a third visit this summer. The home is always so clean and the "feeling" of the house is remarkable. I instantly felt "at home" when I walked in the door. It is so close to Portland, less than 10 minutes from downtown. The front and backyard areas are gorgeous and in the summer it is so nice to sit on the huge outdoor back patio, grill and have cold drinks. I recommend this home to anyone that wants a clean, reasonably priced home in a very nice area of SW Portland.

Owner response:Thank you so much for such a nice review. Return guests are always welcome and receive a discounted rate - I love you guys!

We enjoyed your place very much, and to keep it in good shape was the least we could do! We will definitely have you in mind if we need to rent a house in Portland again in the future.

Your home is so warm and wonderful. We instantly felt "Good Karma" - and saw many elements that we grew up with in side your home. We were very comfortable and felt right at hom eimmediately. The house was spick-n-span and we will recommend it to friends and will certainly stay in your home - should our travels find us in Portland again! Many, many thanks!

Thank you for your hospitality. We loved sitting on the patio and using the BBQ. Even though the reason for our visit was less than joyous - your helpfulness was so appreciated. My brother from Rome and his wife LOVED your home and my niece thought it so beautiful. Again, our thanks.

Thank you for having us. We just got home and I thought I would email you first, but you beat me to it! We enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home. For us, who come from a much warmer climate, the Oregon winter nights got a little chilly, but we managed to bundle up and use the blankets you provided. I felt bad for using so many blankets! The convenience of the location of the home made it very easy to get around. It was wonderful that most shopping areas were within 10 to 20 minutes. My family loves the Uwajima Asian Grocery Store and The Fred Meyer Grocery/Apparel Store, which made my daughter and husband very happy. They spent a few days there. Thanks again! Aloha, J. Ishii

"Laura, your home was perfect for our stay in Portland. It's very clean and we loved the style. The backyard was relaxing and cooking out on the grill was a plus. The location was excellent...so close to shops, resturants and downtown Portland. We made several trips to Salem and Vancouver to visit freinds & family and found the access to the freeway quick and easy. We'll keep your contact info and hope to stay in your home for our next trip to Portland. Thanks, B. Karikomi, Michigan"

Laura's home is the perfect holiday base for the Portland area. It's roomy enough for six & barely more expensive than much smaller properties. It's exceptionally comfortable & well equipped. There is a wide variety of places to eat nearby & Four Seasons market provides first class organic groceries if you're eating in. The patio & garden are comfortable & private & the squirrels & birdlife endlessly entertaining. It's easily accessible from the main routes but still quiet & private. Altogether, having such a super base really made our holiday. Laura herself is so friendly & easy to deal with , I can't recommend this property highly enough.

thanks for providing our family a "home away from home"! We loved the comfort and convenience of the home & location. We spent a lot of time on the back porch enjoying the lovely private gardens and BBQ. Finally, we really appreciated Laura's personal attention at check in and through out our stay - the perfect balance of visibility and privacy. thanks Laura!

We stayed in the house for two weeks when we first moved to Portland from San Francisco. It was incredibly comfortable for a family of four, spotless, and had everything we needed. The kids loved the backyard, having their own bedrooms, and all the inside space. The house is minutes from Portland and OHSU, but also minutes from Beaverton. We would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Owner response:Lovely family - please recommend my home to any visiting friends!
