If you come to Belize for adventure, Adagio Villa is your perfect home base. Along with one hundred feet of beautiful Caribbean beachfront and four hundred feet of lagoon frontage, Adagio Villa offers you all the comforts of a high-end home and the luxury of an exclusive resort. First, we will pick you up at the San Pedro Airport and then you can begin your adventure by fishing from your private 250 foot pier with palapa on the Caribbean or fly fishing in the lagoon at the back of the property. Two 2-person and one 1-person kayaks are provided to further your exploration of the immediate area. Six bicycles are yours to help you explore the island by land. The Barrier Reef of Belize, visible from Adagio Villa, is less than a one minute boat ride from the pier to Tres Cocos Cut for fishing, diving and snorkeling. And when you're ready to further explore the island or make day trips to the mainland to explore the jungle, discover lost Mayan cities or try cave tubing, our concierge and estate manager will arrange for your tour guides to pick you up on our pier. And at the end of your stay, we will transport you back to the San Pedro Airport.

Adagio Villa can be a vacation destination in itself. Adagio Villa was designed by its owner as a year-round luxury retreat. Located in exclusive Tres Cocos, Adagio Villa offers the discriminating vacationer or long-term renter all the amenities you come to expect in a high end home. Should you to choose to simply want to 'get away and relax' or use it perhaps as a honeymoon hideaway, these are a few of the amenities you can look forward to:
Adagio Villa is a walled and gated property providing privacy and security without interfering with the trade winds that cool the island or the spectacular view of the Caribbean from the Villa. No expense was spared in creating Adagio Villa: the entire Villa and pool area are tiled with imported Turkish travertine. The trim and molding, cabinetry, doors and windows are all custom made of solid mahogany, cedar, Santa Maria and other exotic woods, surrounding you with warm luxury. The columns and arches inside and outside the Villa allude to its Mediterranean influence. The hurricane glass in the windows and doors add to the sense of security while flooding the interior with light. The sunken living room offers silk drapes, sumptuous furniture, a custom entertainment center with a 52 inch plasma screen, DVD/CD player with surround sound and an Xbox 360 for those occasional rainy days.
To stay in touch, a cell phone is provided and a computer and Wi-Fi are available throughout the Villa. The entire Villa has zoned central air as well as Hunter fans in each bedroom, the living room and the kitchen.
The kitchen is a chef's dream, completely equipped and laid out to make the home chef's experience a delight. Cooking for two or ten is enhanced with the Wolf Professional Range and the spacious prep areas. Or if cooking is not on your list of things to do, for your convenience we offer three optional meal plans in which our housekeeper and cook (who served the Belizean Ambassador to the US for three years) will prepare and serve wonderful Belizean specialties.
The three bedrooms are all en suite with queen size beds, LCD TV's and each having a balcony or veranda. The Master Bedroom features a daybed, a Jacuzzi with an ocean view, a refrigerator and coffee maker. With balconies and verandas around the Villa, you may enjoy beautiful sunrises over the Caribbean as well spectacular sunsets over the lagoon. An abundance of little nooks inside and out with hammocks or seating provide you with private places to sit and read, nap, daydream or just 'let go' and disappear for as long as you like.
The private pool completes the look and feel of Paradise. Surrounded by coconut palms and tropical plants, the pool features a shallow sunning area where, with the chaise lounges in the water, you can stretch out, relax and rest your feet or hands in the cool water and chill. Next to the pool, for alfresco dining, is a gas grill under the palapa.

VRBO Bear stayed here - 08/17/2009 If you're looking for adventure, Belize is the place to be and Adagio Villa is the ultimate home base. Located just north of the bustling village of San Pedro, it's close to all the restaurants, shops, and activities this little town offers.
This is the type of home celebrities would stay in while on vacation. Each guest is provided with an embroidered bathrobe and slippers to take home, along with a remarkable selection of bath and beauty products. With bikes, kayaks, fishing poles, a large pool and a beach, you never need to leave the villa! Just tell staff members Ernesto or Francisco what you want to do and they’ll pamper you.
In addition to the amenities already mentioned, this luxury villa features a gourmet kitchen with an outdoor grilling palapa (thatched hut). If you don't want to cook, Martha, another member of the villa staff will gladly prepare local specialties on a per meal basis. On our final night, we thoroughly enjoyed black beans, rice, fried plantains, Belizean potato salad, chicken, steak, and grilled barracuda. It was a meal to remember and we all wanted to hibernate afterwards!
Since the focus of my trip was scuba diving the Belize Barrier Reef and the Blue Hole, I spent a lot of my time in the water. I could see the waves breaking on the reef a ½ mile offshore from the villa. In addition to world-class scuba diving and fishing, there are extensive archaeological wonders from the Mayan civilization as well as jungle and wildlife eco-tourism adventures.
Belize is a lovely county just two hours from most US airport gateways and San Pedro is a 15 minute flight or a 1 ½ hour boat ride from Belize City. Belize is a former British colony and still maintains membership in the Commonwealth. Unlike other nearby countries, visitors don't need to worry about the water or a language barrier.
Dennis, the owner has seen to every aspect of the experience a guest would expect from a property of this class. As a guest, you can expect very informative emails from Dennis at regular intervals leading up to your departure. He prepared us for our journey, responded quickly to any questions we had and his staff took care of all the details of our stay. While there, we even had a taxi waiting for us at the ferry terminal upon our return. Expect to be beary, beary, beary pampered at Adagio Villa.

Dennis, first of all, thanks for the marvelous opportunity to stay at and experience Villa Adagio. I was afraid your staff might have to physically throw us out Sunday. I honestly can't say I've stayed in a nicer home anywhere, any time and your staff members are truly the most gracious and accommodating folks I've encountered in my travels. We wanted for nothing during our stay, pretty much. Oh, Sean loved the book about wooden power boats as his grandfather had a Cris-Craft when growing up. We both drooled over them. Marvin
