  Spent a month in this fabulous penthouse with my wife and entertained family and friends during the duration. Their reaction to the views was worth the price of the rent alone. The description of the property is accurate and it would be redundant to repeat what earlier renters have written about appearance, location, maintanence, cleanliness and the great owners. Believe it all! We purchased Senior Clipper Cards ($21.00) each good for thirty days which means you ride street cars, buses and cable cars free in San Francisco. Bought a map of muni bus routes at Visitor Center at Powell & Market Sts. Rode the 39 Bus that stops across the street from the penthouse to the Safeway and Trader Joe's on Bay street. When we weren't collecting food and wine we traveled extensively on the muni system. It's a great way to see the City and meet the natives. Park your car if you have one. San Francisco streets are designed to frustrate anyone not familiar with how they have laid out one-ways and No Left Turns. Recommended places to go! Buena Vista for Irish coffee anytime and also a great breakfast. The Giants baseball stadium...tours @ 10:30 and 12:30 every day. Check Sunday paper for more information. Chocalate Factory at Pier 17 on Embarcadero. Saturday AM at Ferry building farmers market. Boudin French bread @ Pier 39 or tour their bakery. Coit Tower Tour @ 11 AM on most Saturdays Check the owners binder for other great restaurants and activities. We tried all the Chinese...each different. Plan to walk and climb some stairs but that's all part of life in "The City". Two Senior X-San Franciscans

  We have rented this apartment for the past three years. The views are great, the apartment is very clean, and the owners are customer oriented. Ave and Doris are very responsive if there is anything you need. We highly recommend this property and will be rented from them again next year.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  We stayed here for a month and it was wonderful. The view of the bay and the Bay Bridge was amazing. The photos don't do it justice. In addition there is a roof top deck that gives a 3 bridge view. The unit was well maintained and clean. The kitchen was a joy to cook in. Ave, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful. The garage was very easy to park in. The Muni 39 bus, just outside the front door, was very convinient to get up and down the hill and for going for groceries. I would highly recommend this unit.

  This place is simply perfect. We just got back to vrbo-listing and noticed we had not yet written our review here. We have experience on other vacation rentals as well and this one is really a winner. Ave was so kind and helpful on any question or need we had. Still we had a total privacy for our entire stay (5 weeks). The apartment is beautiful, spotless clean, spacious (there were 5 of us) and peaceful. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking in, which we love to do. The balcony was amazing and we used it a lot. The views to the bay are spectacular and there are lots of nice little boutiques and good restaurants near by. So as said: simply perfect. We would recommend this place to anyone and wish ourselves to be back one day. Thanks Ave!

  We have to agree with the other reviews on this site. This is a fantastic apartment beautifully remodeled with all the amenities, and views that can't be beat. Ave, our host, went out of his way to make us feel at home there. We've stayed in several different areas in SF, but this neighborhood is by far our favorite. It is walking distance to everything we needed during our stay, and Ave gave us good recommendations for bakeries, restaurants, and interesting sights. We are looking forward to our next visit, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to visit SF. Joe & Marcia Chgo, IL

  Where to start? This was our first experience with VRBO and our decision to stay at Ave and Doris' condo far exceeded our expectations. Our accomodations were fabulous, Ave and Doris have thought of everything you could possibly need. The two large bedrooms were perfectly suited for the four of us. As two couples we each had our own bathrooms for persoanl use,which was very helpful. The condo is ideally located at the top near Telegraph Hill, centrally located and within walking distance to the majority of tourist sites and venues. Our penthouse suite had a beautiful view of the city and in our minds is the most desirable unit. The balcony was a wonderful place to relax with a glass of wine in the afternoon sun and watch the hundreds of wild parrots fly by. We had taken advantage of both the public transportation which stopped right outside the building, and the use of the parking garage for our car rental later on in the week. Freshly renovated and spotlessly clean, we truly would recommend our stay at Ave and Doris' property. The hills and stairs are all apart of the experience and added to our many laughs and good times during our stay. Thanks Ave and Doris, you made our stay a truly memorable one.   What a beautiful place. The apartment was nicely furnished, exceptionally clean, had a wonderfully appointed kitchen and a views beyond belief. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. I would definitely recommend it. The set up would easily work for 2 singles, 2 couples or a family.

  The pictures can't capture the fantastic views from this penthouse. The best feature of the apartment is the panoramic views of the Bay Bridge and city from the deck and large windows in the living room. The apartment has recently been completely remodeled and seems brand new. The kitchen and bathrooms are immaculately clean. The apartment decor is a warm contemporary and the beds are comfortable with new bedding and down pillows. Ave and Doris are very helpful with questions regarding the apartment and surrounding area. The apartments sits on top of a very steep hill but there is a local bus that stops right in front of the entrance during the day. I would whole heartily recommend this place to anyone who wants the luxury of a high end hotel but the conveniences of home.

  Myself and my children stayed for two weeks in the Penthouse apartment and I would wholeheartedly recommend this lovely apartment to anyone. It is spacious and nicely furnished and has all the amenities that anyone could require.It has also lovely views. Everything was just perfect. Doris and Ave were also extremely nice and very helpful both prior to our arrival and in getting us settled. The apartment was a key factor in what was an excellent holiday.

  We stayed in the Penthouse over Labor Day weekend and it was perfect. The modern decor is great, the views are amazing and the location is wonderful. The owners were a pleasure to work with. Next time we come we definitely plan on staying here. We didn't want to leave.
