  • Castle on top of the world...

"We spent four nights in paradise. Tina was an incredible hostess and "Olive" the cat made us feel like we were at home. The suite in the sky was meticulously maintained with a pelican theme and was extremely comfortable. We rode bikes on the boardwalk, kayaked the bay and took morning strolls on the beach. Highly recommend for a quiet get away."

  • Great beach location

"The location was great. We got up three mornings and took the 30 second walk to the beach and walked the beach during low tide. Being so close to the beach was great but brings up parking problems. The garage was big enough for 1 of 2 cars but that was due more to design of my rental. Everything fit our need and not having to buy boogie boards, beach towels and other beach equipment was awesome. Overall i would use this again for sure."

  • Great location and amenities!

"We're a family of five with three small boys, and almost passed on this cottage due to concerns that it might not be big enough, but are so happy we booked it. Being so close to both the beach and the bay made our trip. If we were getting too beat up by the waves at the beach we'd make the two-minute walk to the bay (which is a paddleboarder's dream). Corey was super-responsive and provided everything our family needed for our vacation. There are boogie boards, beach toys and towels, chairs, etc. I think the best were the bikes he keeps at the house; cruising along the beach was a highlight of our trip. And, if there's anything else you might want you can rent it from the shop right across the street. There's also a blow up matress and a pack-and-play, so each of us had planty of space to sleep. One other concern we had based on previous reviews was its location right on Mission Blvd. And while it can get a bit noisy (especially on weekends), it wasn't anything dramatic or that ear plugs couldn't solve (we didn't use them and slept just fine). Finally, having dedicated parking in back of the house was HUGE. We had no idea what a mess parking can be, so to not have to worry about that was worth staying here in and of itself. If we ever come back we'll stay here in a heartbeat."

  • Location, location, location!!!!

"Such a great spot for our trip! We were attending a conference and decided to forgo a hotel and book a place near the beach. We were concerned about not being on the boardwalk, but that was the best reason to book this place. The boardwalk was very noisy and I couldn't imagine staying there. It seemed like every 3 or 4th house on the boardwalk was filled with noisy parties. We rented bikes and biked for miles on the boardwalk on both the ocean and bay side and returned back to our quiet rental. The views were fantastic too! It was very entertaining to watch all the boats go by. There were large fishing boats, tour boats, kayaaks, expensive boats, etc... We were even lucky enough to see dolphins and seals swimming in the water right from the balcony and inside on the couch. The kitchen was well stocked and lovely to cook in. After our conference we were able to entertain 9 people. We barbecued and prepared a large meal and ate at the large table complete with table settings and wine glasses. We really enjoyed our stay!"
