  • Great Family Vacation

"San Diego’s Mission Beach provides a wide range of activities, Basking on the beach; swimming in the Pacific; surfing, paddle boarding, sand castle building, beach volley ball, amusement park, evening bond-fires; restaurants of multiple ethnicities, walking, skating, and biking on the boardwalk These are a few of the many reasons that we have, for many years, been staying there. It is a great favorite of our children, grandchildren, and friends. This ocean front home has it all. It is by far the best beach front rental we have ever had . The property has a laundry, gas barbecue, well appointed kitchen that provides all appliances and cookware required to prepare meals, if that is how you wish to spend your beach time. There is workable Wi-Fi, large screen cable TV, sand chairs, umbrellas, bicycles, pool table, and toys for the children, . There are beds enough, including a spacious master bedroom suite, to comfortably accommodate 9. In an area where vehicle parking spaces are at a premium, a real plus is the five parking spaces at the location. We would definitely recommend to friends, and hope to return in the future."

  • Hidden gem

"This is our second time staying here with our 3YO twins. Since they were scarred to stay in a room by themselves the rollaway beds in the master closet worked perfectly in the huge master bedroom. The jetted tub in the master was perfect for them to take a bath together as it was huge. Plenty of beach towels, beach toys, surf boards,BBQ grill with plenty of propane ,boogie boards, kayaks, umbrella, and awesome view of bay from 2 kid friendly decks. The heated outdoor shower was a huge hit for the twins to clean up after a day at the bay. Went to Seaworld, rented a boat at Bahia resort, and played at arcade in Belmont Park, all of which was an easy drive when not staying close to the rental. The playground is awesome and the kids loved running to it every morning when they woke up. Talking to the local moms at the playground and bay I came to realize it is never very crowed unlike other parts of mission beach/bay. Patty is very easy to work with and when we had a problem with the wifi she had someone come out to fix it right away. I informed her that my twins broke a plate and her boogie boards and offered to pay for them. She basically told me that it was not necessary. I've rented several vrbo properties in SD county and it's sooo refreshing not to get nickel and dimed on minor damage. It makes it so much easier to enjoy your vacation. Thanks for everything Patty. Tell Erik thanks for his help on the wifi. We look forward to coming back next October."

  • Cute beach house steps from the shore

"My family has been renting beach houses in Mission Bay for the past 6 years. This was the best one that we have rented. We liked having lots of space (Each child was lucky enough to have their own room) and we had our own room and private bathroom. I liked that there weren't any house keys, just a keypad to enter the house. Also, we were able to fit our Sienna minivan in the garage. It was a tight fit, but my husband was able to get it in there with NO scratches!! This is no easy feat for garages and parking spaces in the Mission Beach area. There were lots of games, chairs, beach toys, boogie boards, kitchen utensils for us to use. I felt the kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. We appreciated being on the second floor because we were able to get more of a breeze to help us keep cool, the only negative is that there weren't any screens (which isn't as big of a problem as first floor rentals, there are often a lot of flies at the beach), but, with all of the windows open you get a lot of noise from the alley below. There weren't any loud noisy neighbors, but the trash trucks two mornings and some random parents calling for their kids in the morning, cars driving by etc were loud in the house. This complaint isn't limited to this property, just a fact about being so close to other people in the Mission Bay/Mission Beach area. I would recommend this property to others. The owner was very easy to communicate with and was a delight to talk to on the phone while I was deciding to rent this property. She was prompt in returning our deposit."

  • Summer Breeze!

"This is the 5th week we have spent at this beach side cottage in the last 4 years. It is just steps to the ocean side of the beach, and always has a cool summer breeze. It is fully stocked throughout the master bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and laundry. We really enjoyed the up to date electronics and appliances, the recently updated bathroom & wood flooring. Did I mention, it is CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! The bikes, beach umbrellas, chairs and games are there so all you have to do is drive up, park the car in the garage and relax. We have been going to Mission Beach CA for the past 29 + years and it is by far our best rental experience. Indeed, it is more like a summer home. What more could you ask for a wonderful vacation other than booking it again later at this summer! ... Ross & Lori ... THANKS AGAIN! Mike & Michel"
