This condominium is located between the Westin Rio Mar & Wyndham El Conquistador Resorts & Casinos. They are visible & easily accessible from the condominium for restaurants, casinos, & nightlife. The tropical mountain El Yunque Rainforest is a 15-minute drive. The historic walled fortress city of Old San Juan is a 45-minute drive. All the crowded boating/diving excursions of the San Juan resorts come to this part of the island as it is has the best coral reefs, water clarity, and water conditions. This is the beginning of the Caribbean side of the island. The condominium is near golf courses & shopping areas. Horseback riding on the beach, & horse racing nearby.
There are also great nearby shopping and restaurants. A must is the artist and artisan galeria, the Coqui International, specializing in fine art especially oils & watercolors, handmade crafts, and upscale souvenirs near the Westin Rio Mar Resort at the El Yunque Rainforest turnoff.

The 2 master bedrooms are located at each end of the condominium for privacy, & each has a full private bath. One master bedroom has a king-size bed, and the other master bedroom has a queen-size bed. Each master bedroom also has a dresser(s), sofa, tables & chairs, & a walk-in closet.
Each master bedroom also has free digital cable TV with VCR and DVD. The 3rd bedroom media center office combination has free high-speed digital CABLE INTERNET E-MAIL CONNECTION with wireless option and cable TV/VCR. The 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds that make into a king bed if desired, and is across the hallway from the 3rd full bath. The condominium is particularly ideal for families, couples, and responsible single adults.
This Penthouse condominium has a 30 ft. balcony overlooking the ocean & beaches. The balcony is so spacious that it has a sofa & matching chairs that seat 6 people, tables & lamps, and a 4 person breakfast table & chairs. You only get this size balcony with this condominium PENTHOUSE SUITE. The balcony faces west over the beaches & ocean, & the sunsets are incredible!
This condominium has a fully equipped, modern kitchen with glass-top stove, oven, and microwave. The kitchen has a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer with in-door icemaker & water dispenser. It has twin sinks with garbage disposal & dishwasher. There is a washer and dryer combination.
The Penthouse has 2 adjoining, open living rooms that seat 10 people, and a 6 chair dining room. The 3 bedrooms are air conditioned, but not usually needed with the Trade Wind breeze, & ceiling fans in every room. Air temperature is cooler in the summer at the condominium than in the States, & no vacation rainouts!
Penthouse rentals usually for 1 week or longer. Inquire on rental requests of less than 1 week. No Sub-Letting allowed. Pets by prior approval. Smoking on the balcony only.

We are Joanne Brochu of Connecticut and Richard Lord from the metropolitan Washington DC area. This condominium was our mother's retirement home. We keep our mother's home, now our home, in as fine a condition as would she, and perhaps better as she would not spend money as we have on expensive amenities such as four TV’s one of which is a large-screen HD LCD Sony.

I just wanted to let you know that we had a great time and found the condo to be outstanding. We especially liked the suggestions and directions that you gave us and have in the condo, we were lucky enough to be able to eat at all the places you suggested and found them excellent. We also sailed on the Erin Go Bragh and had a great time. Playa Azul is a great beach, we only walked over to Luquillo Beach once and decided that Playa Azul was better. We did eat at the Kioskos a few times. Thanks again, the condo and all the information you provided really helped us enjoy our time in Puerto Rico.

The little extras provided additional pleasures to our stay, i.e., beach towels, cooler for beach, body boards, beach chairs. Richard, We just completed our vacation. We enjoyed it very Much - Your condo and the Luquillo beaches. The condo is very easy to maintain daily, and you organized everything well with good instruction. The Luquillo beaches are great! We also went to Culebra, and also enjoyed very much Flamenco beach. Thanks for renting the condo to us. I read some of your mother's cooking books left on shelf in the Regent bedroom. By the way, thanks for leaving us some frozen vegetables. Hi Richard, We had a wonderful time at your home in Luquillo. I am so glad everything worked out. We left plenty of little condiments that should absolutely keep for quite some time and other non-perishable items. We would love to come and stay every year if possible, so you will certainly be hearing from us again. My grandfather says the only problem with the place is that is so beautiful, you never want to leave. I felt the same way. Your mother must have been a wonderful women, you can feel it in her home. Richard The condo & the complex grew on us. We didn't want to leave. That breeze from the trade winds was wonderful. We wanted to sleep to the sound of the waves, so we didn't turn on the a/c. Trade winds kept you comfortable without a/c. The friendly people everywhere falls into the 'like most' category. We enjoyed everything we tried. Went to Las Croabas, found a steel drum band & locals starting talking to us & buying us drinks. The sailboat ride was pleasant - a beach with crystal clear water all to ourselves. The 1/2 day in the rain forest was outstanding - it said tours are at 9:30, 11:30 - we got there at 10:30 & they took us on a private one. Drove across the island on Hwy 52 - the most beautiful valleys I've ever seen. Walked around old San Juan & had lunch at Amadeus Cafe - yummy. I'd recommend it. It's a far journey for us Arizonans, but well worth it. It's paradise. It's almost the same climate as Hawaii, only cheaper. It's really a charming place. You may be hearing from our friends or us if we go back to Puerto Rico. Thanks for everything. Vicki
