Los Elementos is located in Santa Cruz la Laguna, the most beautiful and tranquil village on the lake. It is the perfect base for exploring the lake and it’s Mayan villages. Spend the days hiking the mountains and volcanoes that surround the lake, or relax with a day of pampering at our on-site spa.

Enjoy a morning swim in the lake, a mid-day kayak tour, and an afternoon siesta in a hammock. Imagine awaking each morning to the sight of majestic volcanoes just outside your window, the sounds of tropical birds, and the taste of fresh fruit grown on the property. Spanish language school nearby.

The property has 50 meters of lakefront, with the best swim beach in the area. Private dock, kayaks, and lake shore recreation area are yours to enjoy. Sailboat, pontoon boat, or wave runner are available for exploring the further reaches of the lake for additional rental fees. This property is only accessible by boat, so the quiet tranquility, nature, and privacy are unparalleled to none. While there is no road access, launchas (water taxis) run every 30 minutes and stop just next door. Several excellent restaurants are within walking distance.

Backed by dramatic mountains, the views in all directions are spectacular. A seasonal creek runs next to the property during the summer and fall, and extensive hiking trails start just outside your door.

Casa Sirena/Mermaid house: 750 sq. ft. sleeps 2-3.
Large indoor/outdoor area, 400 sq. ft. (22 ’x 18’) includes kitchen, dining area and living space. Semi-open to the lake views with covered roof and protected from the elements. The fully equipped kitchen is ready to prepare the freshest of meals from our locally grown produce with fresh fish from the lake or Pacific Ocean.

Interior rooms total 350 square feet and include a bedroom with queen size bed and second dining table. Second bedroom includes a large wardrobe and dressing area, and has a single bed. Perfect for a couple, or a family with 1-2 children. Bathroom with hot water shower. Two person Kohler jetted tub.

Spa building has lots of comfy seating and is located just feet from the lake shore. Massage, facials, waxing and other spa services available on-site. Enjoy two patios, each 200 sq. ft. in size for relaxing in the morning or at sunsets. Solar heated shower and bathroom.

Internet access on our private satellite system, Sirius/XM radio w/ CD player and iPod connection, TV with DVD player. Rental includes linens, towels, utilities and filtered water. Housekeeper available but not included in price.

Large lawn and beautiful gardens. Extensive hiking in the canyon and mountains nearby. Kayaks available on-site. You can go there on Google Earth at 14’44’22.54 N 91.12’36.70 W.

When booking you may also want to consider deep sea fishing in the Pacific, golf outing, trips to Antigua, the market in Chichicastenango, and the Mayan ruins in Tikal. All trips we can help you with.

  • This place is so fantastic, the views of the lake are breathtaking and Lee and Elaine are the nicest hosts we have ever met ( and we travel a lot). There is so much natural beauty around and Lee and Elaine made sure that we would experience it and enjoy it to the max. And we did. The boat trips and the trail walks that Lee offered took us very close to the indigenous culture of the Mayas and the deep tissue massage that Elaine gave me was the best ever. Our son who is 8 and normally is bored by anything that is not an electronic game, just loved it and did not even think about his games while we were there. If you really want to experience the lake area in Guatemala you would have to stay with Lee and Elaine. We are definitely thinking of going back some day. Thank you Lee and Elaine.

  • As in all places of great natural beauty, the more effort you make to enjoy them, the more you will. At Lake Atitlan you have to stay with Lee and Elaine. They can arrange a wide variety of memorable activities to help ensure that you make the most from your visit. We enjoyed a number of unforgetable experiences which was largely due to their help. It was a wonderful holiday.

  • I was fortunate enough to visit the property for ten days, in June,2009. It is very comfortable, private, quiet, and yet close to the water, without too many steps (that MATTERS as you age). The owners were very kind and helpful, and transport for supplies was easy. High speed internet worked great. Marvelous view from front porch/yard. Year-round perfect weather, 55-75 degrees. Highly recommend.
