  I am still smiling from the wonderful and relaxing week. The listing photos were good, but when we got there the house exceeded my expectations. It was so inviting and had so much to offer we never even left to go wine tasting! This was the best reunion our family ever had - plenty of room and activities for all ages. Thank you for having such a clean and comfortable home with so many activities available. We swam, we barbequed, we enjoyed wine on the patio, we play pool, suffleboard and ping pong, we just enjoyed. I have recommended this location to friends and know it is a place I want to stay at again. Thank you.

  As I am once again planning our Family reunion, I am reminded of the horrible customer service and amenities of this House. the Outdoors was great for our large group and we rented all 3 properties. I was shocked when we arrived to find ZERO amenities, such minor things as trash bags. Two of the three hoes were infested with ants. Our group cleaned up even better than what we found it, yet we were charged an extra cleaning fee. I have found another place to hold our reunion, it is too bad they handled our group the way they did. We just booked the other place for $10,000 for the weekend.

  Owner response: Thank you for the review and we are glad you enjoyed the outside of our property. We apologize that nature and the sugar ants visited during your stay, as you can see the next weekends reviews made no mention of the ants. We always strive to do our best with an initial supply of TP, Paper towels and trash bags. Unfortunately, we were not able to supply enough for a weekend of 75+ guests for a property that sleeps 25....which also explains the additional clean-up of cigarette butts, beer cans and trash left behind. We are happy your family is enjoying another year together and wish you many reunions in the future. Again, thank you for taking the time to review our property.

  We are back home in NH now. I wanted to let you know that the Merlot House worked out perfectly for uour wedding weekend! It was absolutely great to be able to have everyone together and to be so close to the Wilson Creek Winery. The weather was beautiful so we enjoyed the pool and patio and the living areas are excellent for socializing. It would be great to have a family reunion in a couple of years.   04/17/09 The Baileys, Your facilities were a wonderful experience. We (Sheila & Mike Whalen), parents of Teri Whalen, who married Bob Angcos on April 17, 2009, as you might expect were invited guests of the Bride & Groom. The three separate living quarters served their purpose exceptional well for 4 nights. As you know, we held a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding ceremony, we had "hair dressers" come the early afternoon to make everyone beautiful, we entertained our grandchildren with so many varied joys - from your beautiful swimming pool & hot tub, to the ping pong tournaments, the pool table, the majestic vistas, view of Mt. Palomar, the hot air balloon visitors, the pet tortoise and the many other wonderful things that we did. It is a great way for a gathering of family to share each other's happiness and spontaneity.   "Thanks Katherine! Your house is beautiful.....you've done a great job with the decor & landscaping.....very comfortable! The girls loved having a wonderful place to just "hang out" at as they were doing hair & make-up preparing for the wedding .... which took almost all day!   "Bailey's Escape" was the perfect setting. Your advice and your connections for rentals were immensely helpful. Everyone had a wonderful time, and loved that there was so much to do at the house and within a 10 minute drive. We can't wait to come back!"
