Why the Owner Chose Malibu
As mentioned earlier we purchased the land, designed and built this estate from ground-up since we are local architect and builders. When we first saw this property we fell in love with its abundant 3.5 acre size with a head-on ocean view, its private gated deeded beach access, and its easy access to pacific coast highway.

This is our own deeded, private & gated beach access. Beautiful sandy beach at which you are almost guaranteed to spot a celebrity strolling or jogging along. Its voted to be among the top three beach
One of the three major grocery shopping centers in the entire 27 Mile stretch of Malibu. It is about a mile away from Villa Calcare. It houses a Starbucks Coffee, a drycleaner, a gift shop.
World famous Zuma beach is among the most visited beaches in the entire Malibu. It is used by surfers and swimmers alike.
It is accessed by car via a street called Birdview fronting the park. The adventurous ones however can climb up to it from "Zuma surf" (the last southerly stretch of Zuma beach).

Is our most favorite restaurant, we take our out of town friends to. It is down a narrow road right off pch and right on the sand in the world famous paradise cove.
Our most favorite fast food (seafood) in Malibu. You get a great bang for your buck. Their most famous food is fish and chips. Try their fresh grilled variety of fish and seafood.
Entrance is right off pch. This was the original Getty Museum and Villa before the other larger Getty Museum opened up in Los Angeles (off of freeway 405).

We are a husband and wife team of Malibu local architect and builder for over 21 years. We enjoy building exquisite estates for ourselves and clients alike and built this mansion (Villa Calcare) for primarily our own use in year 2005. We imported the finest hand cut limestone flooring, planters, fountains and decorative pieces from Italy, hence the name "Villa Calcare" which means "Limestone villa" in Italian. We have raised a family of two wonderful children in Malibu. We have lived in this estate for three years before we moved on to the next one. We would love to have other guests share and enjoy memorable time in Villa Calcare & its beach as we did.

We stayed at this exclusive estate in February 2011 during NBA Allstar weekend. Can you imagine 13 ladies under one roof?? Well we had a blast. The accomodations provided to us surpassed any that we would receive at any resort. Rosie and Mehrdad were very welcoming and extemely helpful. The cold nights felt much better in the heated hot tub. Rainy days didn't mean a thing while we were enjoying movies in the home theater. This estate had all of the ameneties of a five star resort with the warm feeling of being in your own home. Needless to say, we will be making this our annual getaway home. Thanks so much Rosie and Mehrdad. We look forward to see you again!

About eight of us flew in from around the country and we rented this house for our annual Fantasy Football Draft and guys weekend. Mehrdad and Rosie were very accommodating to us and even helped us plan a dinner in town. The house is phenomenal and we would recommend it to anyone. There are plenty of rooms and we loved the BBQ area, the pool, the table tennis, the sports court and the proximity to the beach. We are planning on another visit and this time plan to bring our families. Thanks Mehrdad and Rosie!

I'm so happy with how this rental worked out for us--i just don't know where to begin. we had several family members in town for our wedding, and this house helped us to accommodate them all. it was a real pleasure to have both families staying in such a beautiful home together... and with plenty of space to get away from each other when needed! the house was so beautiful that we chose to have our small ceremony and reception right on the property. all of our guests loved it and so did we! the rooms were all great--private balconies, steam baths, pillow top mattresses and hot tubs, what's not to like? it was so incredibly comfortable to move around in the house and we never felt over crowded by our guests. the house is pretty big and has enough gathering spaces to make you feel as though you can have privacy whenever you need it. the kitchen was perfect too--my wifes sister is a pastry chef and she was able to make the perfect wedding cake for us right on the spot. we took advantage of using the wine refridgerator, and the pool side grille also worked great for entertaining guests at the pool/hot tub. another great feature this home has is the large size dinning room that comfortably seats at least 10 people. sitting down comfortably to share a home cooked meal with our entire family was really priceless. The west facing balcony is also pretty amazing--ocean views, a chilled glass of wine from the cellar and a nice summer breeze made it the perfect spot for unwinding late in the afternoon. my only regret is that we didn't stay longer. the home has a decent movie theatre and private beach access that we didn't get to enjoy because we were so busy with wedding preparations. I'm already thinking that we may need to go back and do it again.

I rented this house from Mehrdad for the weekend to host some friends from out of town & LA and celebrate my 30th birthday. The house is gorgeous and was the perfect amount of space for us all to enjoy a fantastic weekend and have a great BBQ and pool party all day. Mehrdad was great to work with as well, as there were some hiccups getting the pool heated in time and he was very fair in rectifying the situation and making sure that our stay was perfect.

We would like to thank Mehrdad and Rosie for opening up their beautiful home to us and our guests for the most amazing wedding!! We had a vision of the perfect wedding and their home made that dream a reality! We arrived at the Villa on Friday morning 5.27.11, unpacked, set up for the rehearsal and had a great trial run for what was to be the most Beautiful Day imaginable! The next day, Sat 5.28.2011, we woke at the Villa to a gorgeous Malibu morning and the festivities began! Breakfast, Hair, Make-up, set-up, caterers, Dj, photographer, flowers, rentals, GALORE! It was all we had dreamed of and some! The Villa was a perfect backdrop for a perfect day! We are in love with our photos and the guests cant stop talking about how beautiful it was! Villa Calcare was the perfect place for our daughter's wedding. The property is beautiful as is the interior design and furnishings. The accommodations fit our needs perfectly and enabled us to have our family stay together under one roof to celebrate this wonderful occassion. The wedding day was gorgious and went off without a hitch! The next day was spent relaxing by the pool and enjoying each others company. We are already planning to return in the future to celebrate with our family again! I want to add that the location was very close to several grocery stores and restaurants. I hosted my 30th birthday guests at this house and could not have had a better weekend. We looked at so many places on vrbo and I cannot tell you how happy I was that I chose this place. The view... the doors opening to the ocean front... the private beach... the amazing kitchen that allowed all 15 of my friends to hang with me while I cooked ... the amazing pool and water falls... this place could not have been better.

the description and photos barely do justice to this property. when my family and i drove up we were astounded by its beauty. during the intial tour with the owner my kids were blown away by the pool, hot tub and the theater room. the property was exrememly clean and well cared for. the owneres were helpful, yet non-intrusive. i would, and already have recomended this property to my friends.
