My boyfriend and I just got home today from staying at Huggy Bear Hollow. It was our first time to Gatlinburg and we had a fantastic time. We were so close to downtown, yet far enough away to not deal with the constant noise and lights. Huggy Bear Hollow is so cute and romantic...we cannot wait to come back. We want to tell our friends about what a great time we had--but we're a little worried that we would have to share the calendar with more people! Ü The fireplace was a little tricky--sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't..but it eventually always would if we kept turning the nob. The jacuzzi tub wouldn't fill because the stopper wouldn't stay down..so I used a washcloth to block the drain it that worked just fine! Overall, it was perfect..we really had an awesome time and really appreciate being able to rent such an affordable cabin. Thank you Gordon and Jennifer--we appreciate it so much! (PS, BE CAREFUL! The roads are a littttttle scary if you're used to driving in flat cities like Nashville! Haha!)

We have been traveling to the Smokies for an annual fall trip for the last 30 years and we have stayed in all types. We always preferred the personal attention we got renting directly from owners and Gordon and Jennifer are no exception to this. Staying in Huggy Bear Hollow cabin this year was absolutely among the best of the best. It made our trip even more enjoyable. Wish I could have picked this cabin up and moved it home with us but this location was perfect. The cabin is nestled in a quiet wooded resort area. Major plus being so close to town but far enough out in the Arts and Crafts area to enjoy peace and quiet or hop on the trolley right down the road. We loved the wide open floor plan, plenty big enough for 2-4 people. We can't think of a thing we would have changed about this place. Some amentities worth mentioning is the private hot tub on the patio, fenced back yard to insure privacy, wonderful woodsy setting all around, jacuzzi tub and seperate shower in the bedroom's open floor plan, double gas fireplace, wonderful king bed with comfy linens. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you might need for cooking, just bring the groceries. We had cable tv in the bedroom and living room when we wanted just to stay in and relax. The cabin was clean and easy to keep clean. The washer and dryer is something you don't find in most cabins. We have saved the contact information for this sweet little cabin at this unbelievable bargain rate for our return trip in the Spring and more future mountain visits. I have shared your link with many of my mountain buddies, friends, and coworkers. Thank you Jennifer and Gordon for sharing you little piece of perfect with us and for the wonderful hospitality and communication. Hope to be contacting you again in a few months. I know Spring will be beautiful there. Dan and Betty Barnwell, Jacksonville, Alabama

We enjoyed the cabin in its quiet setting. Cabin is easy to get to after a busy day of activities. All things of home except a dishwasher. Cabin was nicely decorated and it felt like a mountain cabin. We have a few issues that we need to point out. The bed is terrible. My back was sore every morning. The fireplace did not work. The blinds in the sliding window are noisy when a/c is running, plus they are annoying to get thru to get in and out of sliding door.

We rented this cabin for halloween weekend 2010. It was very, very convenient to the arts and crafts circle and Gatlinburg. It is nestled in a cute little community and is a breeze to get back and forth to. We felt very safe and the neighbors were friendly when we passed by. It only took a few minutes to get into downtown and the drive in the surrounding areas was very beautiful. The drive into town is simple with no scary backroads needed to get anywhere. After staying at places that took 30-40 minutes of clinging to the side of the road down a mountain to get into civilization this place was a breath of fresh air. :) It was very homey. Having the kitchen was nice. Everything was VERY CLEAN. We met the housekeeping lady as we were leaving and she was wonderful! So nice and friendly! We never used the hot tub, but the gas logs were nice and the hot tub appeared clean, as did the backyard. What you see in the photos is what you are going to see when you get there. If you need somewhere close by to eat while you are staying here, we would recommend the Ship Pub- Fantastic wings. Everything close by is so cute and authentic. It is not like the crowded downtown atmosphere. Very laid back. Have definitely recommended this place to friends and will stay here again. It is so affordable and convenient to everything! Thank you so much to the owners for sharing this place.

The cabin is located in the Arts and Crafts area which is our favorite because it's very close to downtown and many other attractions. It's a nice cabin with a VERY confortable king size bed. Everything was cleaned and in good condition. We had an excellent time in Gatlinburg, we enjoyed the snow, the shows, good food, etc. It was our fourth trip we go there every other year and we will love to go back soon! We loved it!

We stayed for a week in this wonderful cabin, and had a fantastic time! It is a perfect size for a couple, and the "extras" such as the hot tub, jacuzzi, fireplace, king-sized bed and quality towels and sheets made the experience even more special. The location is great. It's an easy walk to a decent number of shops, and we enjoyed driving to explore the Cosby side of the Smokies. We didn't try the Trolley, but driving to Gatlinburg and the Sugarlands Visitor center via the by-pass routes was not difficult. I'm so glad we stayed here for our vacation!

my husband and i travel to the gatlinburg area a couple times a year. we were quite pleased with huggy bear hollow and plan to rent this property again. though there are other rentals nearby, once you enter the house, you truly feel you are in your own little world because of the privacy it offers. i am all about clean, and this place is extremely clean...the bed is very comfortable. we always ride up on the harley, so the washing machine & dryer definitely came in handy. jennifer and gordon, the owners, are extremely nice.

Me and my fiance just spent a weekend at Huggy Bear Hollow and it was more than we expected. The pictures do not do it justice. It was very nice, clean, and decorated so cute. The cabin is private yet is nestled in a nice community. The location was very convenient as well. We will definitely be staying here again.
