  When the 4 of us arrived we almost fell over at the view we had from this house and were very impressed by the look and feel of the home. From the beautiful upgrades, to the pool, outdoor couch, hammock, etc., we couldn't have asked for a better villa on St. John. Having this home to come to after our sun filled days was always a calming feeling. We look forward to saying here in this villa many more times and will always remember the views and all the memories surrounding it!

  WOW! Me and 6 other family members stayed here (some first timers to the island, others not). We couldn't have had a more enjoyable time. The house is beautiful and exceeded all expectations. Your pictures don't do it justice. We spent alot of time at the beaches Cinnamon Bay and Hawksnest and then would come home to the pool. Your sounds system rocks and we had to be careful about how loud we played it. You feel like you are surrounded by nothing but island till someone pipes down from the mountain asking you to turn your music down. The landscaping is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the birds that would want to eat out of our dishes and the iguanas that came to sun with us at the pool. The views are amazing at all times of the day. We definitely want to come back and stay in your wonderful home! Thank you for making this trip out of this world!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

  What a fantastic week at KiaOra. This was our second stay at this wonderful hilltop house with spectacular views. But what a difference since the last time we visited. The new owners have done a super job updating the home with fresh paint throughout, new pool furniture, new flat screen TVs, wireless internet throughout the house, fresh linens. Just terrific. We spent many hours relaxing by the pool, and also arranged several SCUBA dives from the Westin nearby. As always, the beaches and restaurants were just a short drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed the food at the High Tide; the LimeInn; Lucy's; had a sophisticated dinner at the Waterside Bistro; and enjoyed sundowners at the Westin beach bar. We will definitely be back. Would highly recommend KiaOra. This is not a stuffy museum of a house. It's a place where you can really relax with your kids.

• The perfect island vacation home

  We stayed at Tesseract for two weeks in late June / early July and had a wonderful time. It is truly a place where you can feel at home in (it is clean and well-maintained with every amenity taken care of) and the spectacular views and sunsets are amazing. We particularly enjoyed the large pool, sitting on the deck watching the occasional cruise ship, eating dinner outside under the stars and the overall privacy that Tesseract afforded us. The visiting iguanas and tropical birds in the gardens provide constant theatre. The nearby beaches are superb; we particularly liked Honeymoon and Solomon; and there are many restaurants in Cruz Bay that are worth a visit - Morgan's Mango and the Lime Inn among our favorites. We highly recommend a stay at Tesseract and will definitely return.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  Enjoyed sitting by the pool in the morning, reading and sunbathing. In the afternoon went snorkeling. Enjoyed the beautiful view from the deck. That you for sharing your place with us.

  Iquanas provided intrigue. Lovely sunsets to view from guest room deck. We love Cinnamon, Francis, and Salt Pond. The house pool is fine morning, noon, and evening! Let's keep supporting the VI national park, which makes St. John so special.
