  • West Cliff Hideaway made it easy to vist Santa Cruz area

"Close to the beautiful cliff top to walk and watch the sunsets in the evening and to hear seals barking in the morning, this was a great location for us to stay in Santa Cruz. It is in a quaint neighborhood full of amazing flowering shrubs and fruit trees. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed,; the bed was super comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped. Robbin has a great selection of DVDs for the evenings when we just needed to kick back. Robbin was a delightful host..she goes to a lot of trouble to answer any questions about how everything works, and brought us extra pillows to help me with an injured arm. Her recommendations of restaurants that were close-by were excellent. We recommend this hideaway to everyone."

  • Beautiful Little 2 Bedroom, Walk to Pleasure Point

"We really enjoyed our stay at this cute little cottage. You can't beat the location - it's a very quick walk down to Pleasure Point. The interior and exterior are in great shape, with attractive landscaping, easy parking and nice wood floors. We also really liked the nice flat screen, reclining leather sofas and good internet service. Compared to other places we've stayed in this area, the cottage was much cleaner and more attractive. We found it very nice to have an easy, large parking spot right next to the front door and a convenient hose out front for washing off wetsuits. We will be back!"

  • Seated, unobstructed whitewater view!

"We were four 55+ family members traveling with our 93 year old dad. When traveling, his personal comfort is always top of mind. He opted to stay in one of the upstairs bedrooms closer to the tv room. That said, the first floor bedroom/bath would be perfect for most with limited mobility. It features a completely private bath with rimless walk in shower. Dawn even provided us with a shower chair for his use. The home is perfect in every way, others have commented on the perfect location, layout and abundance of amenities. One of the greatest features is the Sonas music system which has separate room controls and can also be played on the patio facing the ocean. Easy, breezy flip of a switch fireplace in living room and a fire pit ignited with provided fireplace lighter - couldn't be easier. Surfers 24/7 right in front of the home - (one day we counted 50 at one time)and even more surfers a short couple of blocks walk to The Point and The Hook. We observed both a 10K and a surfing competition during our stay. If you go - do your marketing at Shopper's Corner and visit Gayle's in Capitola for not only delicious pastries but also a wide range of delicious, fresh ready made lunch/dinner options. John, Dawn and Will were responsive and very easy to work with. We are grateful that John shared his beautiful home with us!"

  • Hope to come back again!

"We stayed here for 10 nights around Fourth of July. We have three daughters (13, 17, 20) who each brought a friend. Location is great -- next to the harbor (we went sailing a couple of days), a block from the beach (including beach volleyball nets and lifeguards), 15 minute straight walk to the Boardwalk (kids did this nearly everyday), with great restaurants (Johnny's, Crow's Nest and Palomar) and coffee shop (Java Junction) within 5 minute walk. We only got in the car when we needed to get lots of groceries. House is great - main level has big living room and great views. Kitchen is great and well-equipped (lots of pots, pans, dishes, glasses, as well as waffle iron, blender, etc.). Upper deck has a great gas BBQ and fire pit (gas is piped in, so you don't have to worry about filling tanks). Bedrooms are on lower level, and upper loft has a daybed that converts into two full twins. Showers had plenty of hot water and there are plenty of sheets, towels, paper goods, etc. around -- it feels like you are borrowing a friend's house, which is great. Matt was great to work with, and the process was smooth. I hope to come back and stay here again. To make it 5-stars? Master bath needs different shower and window curtains, and the carpeting needs to be replaced."
