"Great experiences for our family. Great location, amazing views of the river and city. Everything we needed was provided, plus wonderful ideas to explore. Looking forward to another stay at Lauren's "home". Thanks for the lovely memories, especially celebrating so many family events!"

  • Peaceful, relaxing & well located!

"I echo comments of the other reviewers. Our family of 4 adults stayed here over Labor Day weekend and could not have been more pleased. House is beautifully upgraded with a gorgeous bathroom and well-appointed kitchen, comfy beds, and large common space that still permits various simultaneous activities: cooking, dining, playing games, watching TV, etc. But, frankly, we spent most of our time away, including daily walk along Pleasure Point and other sightseeing activities & day trip up PCH with detour thru Butano State Park (gorgeous hidden redwood forest gem!) to SF. The Pleasure Point area of Santa Cruz is one of our favorite places to stay because of the charming neighborhood, fabulous walkway along the bluffs (lots of marine life and surfers to watch) and proximity to the beach. Loved waking up to the views of the lagoon, and the sunset over the sea was terrific (esp w/ a glass of wine on the deck). The hot tub was a real bonus. Enjoyed the annual Begonia Festival in Capitola--who knew? Though the kitchen is well stocked with all the basics & more (plus an ocean view!) we wound up only cooking 1 meal here because we hit lots of our favorite eating spots: Gayles in Capitola; Kelly's on the West side; Pour, Hoffman's & dancing at the Blue Lagoon downtown SC; Bittersweet for brunch in Aptos; and Cafe Tiramasu & the Tonga Room Sat night in San Francisco. Great to come back to this relaxing home at the end of each day. Owners were great communicators and booking was a breeze. Would definitely recommend to others. Thanks so much for making this lovely home available for us!"

  • Great house with lots of room and a wicked view.

"The house and surrounding yard was very clean and well maintained as well as providing all necessary appliances in the kitchen and amenities throughout the house. There were 11 in our group so an an added bonus would have been an outdoor BBQ but the kitchen was large enough to handle the nearly simultaneous cooking effort for all. The bungalow out back served as a quiet getaway with an awesome claw foot tub for relaxing and soaking. With such a large party we needed an extra bed, linens and pillows to accommodate the 11 occupants. After a quick call, the owner immediately provided an extra bed with sheets and pillows within the first few hours upon our arrival. Many thanks for the responsiveness and reaction time to meet our needs. General consensus from the group would be that we would rent this house again and again. Thanks for your hospitality and being treated like family."

  • Highly Recommended

"My husband and I spent a glorious month at this beautifully appointed apartment, watching the sun rise over the Pacific each morning. The space is detailed carefully and tastefully, including heated floors in the bathroom and kitchen. The owner is gracious and generous with his knowledge of Santa Cruz. His affection for Santa Cruz, the neighborhood, and the property are infectious and prompt his concern for keeping the space in excellent condition. As far as location, this property is in one of the most private and secluded areas of Santa Cruz, even though it is less than a block to the beach. We were able to walk to Pacific Ave., the Boardwalk, Harbor, as well as many fabulous restaurants in the Seabright neighborhood."
