  • Absolutely Perfect!

"This was our first trip to the area and the location was perfect. We met up with high school friends for a few weeks of catching up and sight seeing. The house was perfect for the 6 of us. The bedrooms were laid out that everyone had privacy. The location of this beach house is perfect for a day on the beach, a walk on the boardwalk or a drive to Capitola, the Redwoods, the Natural Bridges and even the Felton covered bridge. But it's also within a few hours for a fun day trip to Monteray, Carmel by the Sea or San Francisco. Needless to say our days were filled and we loved coming back home to share a meal and enjoy the hot tub! Jan was awesome to work with and her response time was fantastic. We highly recommend this house for a great stay on the west coast."

  • Fantastic place for a family get together

"We had the extreme pleasure of renting this home for a week as a vacation get together for our two daughters' families of 4 and the two of us, 10 people in total. There was a comfortable bed for each of us. The view is spectacular, with a combination of beach, waves crashing over rocks and surfers galore. Everything that Carla V. said in another review is absolutely true...fire pit, kitchen and beach toys were wonderful. In addition to all the surfboards, boogie boards, etc., there are also 11 wet suits in various sizes to fit all. This was a highlight for my teenage grandchildren. There were about 8 dolphins that spent a half hour swimming and jumping right in front of us. The Beach Boardwalk was 4 miles away and Capitola, with all of its charm, is about a mile and a half, with a pleasant walk along the coast a great way to get there. Dawn was great when we had any questions and responded immediately to texts. John returned our deposit within a couple of days. We will stay here again...and probably again after that. I can honestly say that the ten guests, ranging in age from 4 to 69, all had a wonderful time. There was plenty to do for everyone. As the person who rented it, I was particularly happy to see all the looks of delight on people's faces each morning or anytime, as they gazed out at the ocean and all there was to see."

  • Fabulous house in great location

"The pictures tell it all! This house is spacious and has its own parking for several cars (including two in the garage if you like). Our four parties came in separately with no issues, and we all enjoyed our space. You do have to love seagulls, which are pretty noisy early in the morning. The house was well equipped, and we had no complaints. I think it might be inconvenient for some renters to share the closets and bathrooms. The upstairs is a giant master bedroom, dressing area, and bathroom, plus an office with a bed and a toilet in a room by itself. Downstairs is a large bedroom with an attached bath. The fourth room opens only to the hallway. They share the bath and toilet. You can close everything off for privacy, but there may be logistics involved. You can walk down to the boats and from there to the beach, or you can go on the streets to the lighthouse. Everything in Santa Cruz is pretty convenient. My husband and I, our son and fiancee, our other adult son, and my husband's brother were all very happy with the place. Jason was responsive about the one issue that came up (an inconvenient light outage), and it was easy to communicate with him before we arrived."

  • Secluded retreat with great access

"A hidden gem in the center of a beach community. The craftsman cottage is ergonomically engineered over decades of love by Sita and Tom. Everything in perfect balance. Doves coo with wind chimes by the hot tub as hummingbirds bath in the stone fountain. The surf resonates through skylights over a cozy loftbed. Walk to a world renowned surf spot or to nearby coffee and eats, or utilize the fully equipped kitchen and never leave. Way way above our expectations. Clean, tidy, full amenities, covered parking, wood tub, privacy, attentive owners, a perfect retreat."
