  Dear Cristina, My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our five days in Suite Saracini in May! The apartment is charming and bright, the perfect size for three adults, and the perfect location for those who want simply to enjoy the pleasures of Siena. We could watch the parade Sunday afternoon from our dining area window and slip downstairs in the evenings for apertifs on the campo or in the morning for coffee when we didn't want to make our own. That we were in such a beautiful space in a centuries old building added to our sense of getting the "real" Tuscan experience. We appreciated your concern about our comfort; small gestures such as providing some spices and olive oil for cooking made our housekeeping much easier, and the change of towels kept us feeling fresh and pampered. I am recommending suite Saracini to my fiends and family, and sincerely hope to stay there again soon. Sincerely, Patrizia

  This apartment has a great location. It was very clean and in very good condition. Cristina was very helpful and was always available for any questions. If you are traveling with a car keep in mind that parking in the lot over night can be as much as 40 euro. Siena is a great town and this apartment was perfect for the 4 of us. Thanks Cristina!

  Ideal location and pretty much as described. Cristina is quite helpful and lives in the same building, so most questions/issues are easily resolved. We stayed for a week and definitely enjoyed the apartment. Siena's wonderfully compact: you can walk everywhere (we did) and the apartment's right in the center of town. However, there are a few caveats I should point out. First, it is a small apartment (to be fair, exactly as represented) and probably better suited for stays of a few days or so. We were feeling a bit cramped toward the end of our week, but I recognize everyone's tolerance varies. Also, the kitchen, while having modern appliances, is tiny and not that well equipped (e.g., there were only three forks) if you intend to eat in. There are plenty of excellent restaurants within a couple minutes' walk, so perhaps that's not a major concern. Our only significant disappointment was that the apartment wasn't particularly clean, especially the kitchen area: stove, dishes, pots, pans, etc. We're not overly fussy, but when there's still food on the plates, wine residue in glasses, leftover coffee in the pot, etc., it's a bit annoying and somewhat baffling when you consider the 40 euro cleaning charge tacked on. All I can say is that the previous tenant didn't get their 40 euros worth but we certainly left the kitchen much cleaner than we found it (not too difficult). That aside, the apartment's location is hard to beat and, of course, Siena's magical.

  Owner response: I'm very sorry for this inconvenience....I provide as often as I can to check if the apartment is well cleaned. Maybe that time on November I was too much at work... I will use this review to improve and to control better the housekeeper's work.

  Suite Palazzo Saracini - my husband and I stayed 2 nights in mid October. The apartment is extremely convenient and was very easy to find. The bed was very comfortable, living area had adequate seating and the bath nicely done. The kitchen was well equipped. We both loved the 'building'....I have only a few suggestions; *one would be to have a current map with recommended restaurants and a grocery noted. There was lots of information from previous renters that was extremely helpful however most was somewhat dated and with only a couple of days to explore it took considerable time to search through. * It would be nice to have packets of shampoo and small bath soap provided. Since we were traveling light and other VRBO's had provided shampoo/soap we didn't think to bring some in. * a clean kitchen sponge for each booking would also be nice. Your pictures posted accurately reflect the apartments' charm but we both felt the location is one of the best features. We enjoyed being able to look down on a busy/main street and watch the 'student gathering'. While we would have enjoyed cooking and eating in we just did not have the time. However, we found several very good restaurants just outside the main entry or within less than a 5 minute walk. We would definitely recommend to our friends and hope to visit with you again in the future. Thanks for coffee!!!! Georgia, USA

  This apartment is in clean, comfortable and in the perfect location. It was just what we were looking for. The wifi access was a great surprise and helped us plan our day in Siena. It was a great value for the price. The apartment is located on the top floor so the view of the street and roof tops was really nice.There is a very small and comical two-person elevator -- comical to Americans not used to extremely tiny European elevators. We didn't mind the stairs at all. The only down side of our stay was that the AC didn't work very well at all in the apartment. We were quite warm, but it wasn't a huge deal. All things considered we had a great time in this pretty little apartment.

  I really enjoyed time spent here with my sister. It is an absolutely perfect location for walking and shopping in Siena. The apartment has everything one needs and help is right next door if questions or problems arise. I highly recommend this apartment.

  We had a wonderful two weeks in Siena, and the apartment was ideal for our needs. It is in a perfect location – you could not be any closer to all the attractions and the shopping. It is a charming place, with nice views over the busy (mostly pedestrian) street below – in fact on more than one occasion we would look down to see some parade taking place, either a religious festival or a contrade display. On the more practical side the apartment is larger than it appears in the photographs – the bedroom is a decent size, and the living/dining area is quite spacious. The kitchen facilities are all very good for a city apartment. The bathroom is quite small but perfectly practical. The windows do a fantastic job of keeping the apartment quiet - it can get noisy outside, but once you close the windows you can barely hear a thing. The air conditioning worked very well, and we needed it on a quite a few occasions when the temperature outside really rose. The free wi-fi was very useful. The whole apartment was kept fresh by the weekly cleaning and mid-week tidy. Christina was always very helpful, and it was useful her being just across the building in a neighbouring apartment. Siena is a beautiful town, and the convenience of the apartment made a marvellous holiday even better.

  We stayed in this wonderful apartment for 3 days after driving up from Rome. The location is perfect - right on the main piazza which is great for sightseeing & dropping off any shopping finds then heading out again. The area surrounding the apartment was busy and rather noisy, but the very substantial windows blocked out virtually all the noise. We used the kitchen to make a few basic dinners - there is everything you need. There is an elevator (which is good as it's on the top floor) - but bear in mind it's a small European elevator. After the initial trip with our few bags we took the stairs. Probably not the best place for someone with mobility issues. Thanks Cristina!

  The apartment was in a wonderful location, right in the heart of Siena. We were slightly disappointed that the bathroom was so tiny and that two rings on the cooker hob didn't work, only four coffee cups, two of which were chipped and unusable and it was difficult to wash up as there was no plug in the kitchen sink. There were rugs on the floor which in the kitchen and bedroom which were flimsy and unsafe and we felt were an accident risk. It was advertised as suitable for a family of four, but we think it was really only suitable for a couple. The property was advertised as being cleaned during the week and towels changed every three days, but it wasn't cleaned at all while we were there and we had to find the housekeeper to ask for clean towels. Cristina, the owner wasn't around for most of the week, so we couldn't ask her about any of the problems. The tv was a videotape combi which must have been 20 years old and the only satellite channels we could access were all Italian which was not helpful when we were trying to get news. One other problem was the noise from an adjacent apartment. Most nights we had to listen to very loud rock and hip-hop music which I personally hate! In terms of location, we would recommend the property, but it really needs a makeover and a good clean! We felt it was expensive in terms of value for money.

  Owner response: I am really sorry to read all these complains, especially because in their weekly stay I met the 2 guests just 2 times and they never said a word about all these troubles. The bathroom is little, as showed in the picture. The kitchen is completely new and there are cups, plates and glasses for 4 persons. Everything is blue and white and I bought it just one year ago. The kitchen is fully equipped, with toaster, pots, frying pans and lot of tableclothes and wipes. As mentioned in the advertise the rate includes changing towels every 3 days with set-up of the bed-room. My housekeeper did it after 4 days because guests were never at home to programm at what time she could enter the apartment: after 3 days I told her to enter during the morning and to leave towels on the bed. Suite Saracini is part of my home and I think that the music was coming from my 15 years old son. But May is school-time and at 22:30 pm he always went to sleep....at that time I'm always at home! I can ensure next guests that the apartment is perfectly cleaned....always.

  Questo piccolo e graziosissimo appartamento sui tetti di Siena, affacciato sulla via più animata del centro storico, è assolutamente da consigliare a chiunque voglia trascorrere un soggiorno in un ambiente intimo e romantico. Arredato con gusto raffinato, dotato di ogni comfort, ha costituito per noi un'ottima soluzione per un weekend di relax... Ringraziamo la signora Cristina!
