Spacious Copacabana Beach Apartment, 1 Block from Beach

  I stayed here with my 2 daughters and 2 step daughters aged 17-20 for 5 days. It was a good apartment with great proximity to Copacabana Posto 5, however we really missed having natural light from open windows. When we opened the opaque glass to let in the light and fresh air we looked out at the slum, or another wall, or a very dirty rooftop. Proximity to the slum never ended up being an issue because there was always a police officer outside the front gate, but ambience was a little lacking as a result. Otherwise, great value for the price. Thanks Dan.

  It was our first visit to Copacabana, so we wanted to stay close to the beach. We also have two kids, so the typical hotel rooms are a little difficult on space for us. Danny's condo satisfied both criteria wonderfully. There was plenty of space for all of us. The apartment is located one block away from Copacabana, and is walking distance to Ipanema, Arpoador, the subway station... There is a favela nearby, but there's almost always a police car parked right in front of the entrance to the apartment, so it's safe to walk around. There are many little places to get street food and supermarkets for any kinds of supplies. Folks who manage the condo were responsive and courteous. The only suggestion for Danny is that the place could use just a touch of TLC. There were some lightbulbs out, others non-matching, batteries missing or not working in remotes, absence of toilet paper, etc. I would probably pop in a microwave to replace the old toaster oven. These are small things and inexpensive to address, and should make a difference for travelers far away from home :)

  Me and my mate stayed here at this apartment and were happy with the state of it. It was close by the beach only a block away, it had shops etc round the corner. and was on a main busy street. So no issues with cabs. Restaurants were just up the street which made it easily accessible. When i go back to Rio will definitely rent this apartment out again.

  Overall my stay in this unit was good. I found the unit to be fairly consistent with what was "advertised.". The hot water was a definite plus when one showers. The unit has an Orbis tankless water heater. I found Cristiana who assists the owner with his unit punctual, professional, and courteous. She arrived at the unit on time with the keys to the unit, and picked them up promptly. She had the unit well stocked with clean linen and towels. She also obtained a D size battery for us for the water tank after it became exhausted. I recommend this unit without reservation.

  Excellent apartment with everything included as stated in the description. I have been to Rio 5 times and the location of this place is great... You have the option to walk a few blocks be in Ipanema in minutes. I will be using this place again!!!!

  The apartment was nice. We felt safe. It was so close to everything including the beach. The only problem we had with it is that it needs a management agent in Rio. Power went out and internet didn't work. Towels were washed but still wet. Several lights didn't work. Had to buy bulbs and still some didn't work. One step was off on ladder to loft and had to take a big step down. Dangerous. Had to wait quite a while for electricity to go back on and only because old agent did a favor for us. He was nice and so was girl who met us with the keys. Need more local contact. Otherwise nice apartment.

  2 friends and I recently stayed at this apartment for 4 nights. The location 1 block away from Copacabana beach was perfect!! And it was also very close to Ipanema beach which we also spent quite a bit of time at. The apartment was very comfortable and a great home base. Danny was very helpful and always responded to my questions/concerns right away. He recommended some great things to do and some really good restaurants. I would definitely recommend going to the Hippie Fair in Ipanema on Sundays and a samba show at Plataforma in the Leblon area. My only minor complaint was that the driver we thought had been arranged to pick us up at the airport did not show so we had to take a cab. Otherwise everything was great!

  We spent a lovely three nights in this apartment. This was our first trip to Rio, and staying in an apartment rather than a hotel was definitely the way to get the feel of the place! Although the apartment is located on a busy street (all the streets are busy in Rio!), once inside your fifth floor sanctuary there was absolutely no noise from the street. The beach is a block away, places to eat everywhere around, and a grocery store a block away--everything you need to get the most out of your stay. In addition, the apartment was clean, and the gal who greeted us with the key was friendly and helpful (and spoke a little English, which was nice). Don't miss the vendors who set up most evenings on the boulevard by the beach--actually between the two sides of traffic--selling all kinds of things you might want to take home. The prices are generally better than the shops or the beach hawkers. There are little tourism shops all around that can arrange trips for you, but make sure you spend lots of time just walking the streets as we did. We would stay here again, for sure!

  Estuvimos en Río de Janeiro disfrutando de la playa y de esa hermosa ciudad junto a mi marido y nuestros 4 hijos adolescentes. El depto es tal cual lo describen. No existieron sorpresas. Volveríamos en cualquier momento.....
