  I was looking for an inexpensive, safe, clean, & quiet place for the kids and I to sleep the one night we were in the area. Lucky for us, Joe's Cabin was available at the last minute. The location is actually just outside of Crescent City, near Pelican Bay, and in a quaint residential neighborhood. The owners live next door to this property, and make sure to maintain it very well. They have a fire pit between the two properties and they set up a fire for my kids to roast marshmallows for s'mores. They let my kids pick their berries (strawberry, blackberry), which I enjoyed in my cereal the next morning. Their son pointed out the nearby outdoor attractions (beach, fishing, etc.) and I wish we'd had more time to take advantage of these. They also shared the history of the cabin with us -- be sure to ask when you stay there! The cabin was well furnished and the kitchen had everything one would need for cooking. The rooms were clean, the surrounding area quiet, and the cabin had maps and information for the area. This cabin is well set up for a single adult, a couple, or three people (four adults might find sleeping a bit too cozy in the bed and sofa-futon, but two adults and two small children would be fine). If/When I'm ever back in the area, I want to stay here again!

  This is a great place to stay that was very convenient in location. It also has a little store/mini mart right next door, which was great for us, because we forgot some essentials. We have 2 little girls, and we were very comfortable. Plenty of room for them to play, and they loved the front porch :) The owners were very accommodating, but not intrusive at all. Wonderful place!

  My Family and I had a wonderful time at the cabin. This is our home away from home. Mike and his family are wonderful people and very attentive to our needs and questions of the area. Lots of things to do and see and if you want relax you can. You are surrounded by friendliness and Mother Nature. Will definitely return back next year for our family vacation.

  Renting Joe's Cabin while I was doing a traveling job at the Hospital in Crescent City was the best decision I made. It's just outside of town in the beautiful country of Fort Dick, close to the beach, hiking, and trips to Smith River and Brookings. A great central location for exploring the area, which has so much to offer - really beautiful and diverse. Mike, Jodie and their family are just the nicest people you'll meet. I was sad to say goodbye to them and the cabin. You won't be dissapointed if you rent this cute cabin!

  I grew up in Crescent City but have been gone for about 20 years. I'm familiar with all of the Beach motels etc... My wife found Joes Cabin Rental when looking for Vacation rentals in Crescent City. We stayed there two nights and it was absolutely charming, delightful and clean. The cabin is completely stocked with everything you need. Just a quick trip to the grocery store and you're in your little home away from home. Mike, his wife and son are 3 of the most pleasant people we met on our vacation. Like the neighbors you wish you always had. Fantastic value.

  The cabin was immaculate, owner very helpful, addressed any questions or concerns directly and immediately. Nice location easily accessible to town, stores, movie theater, restaurants and hospital. Great location if you like hiking in the Redwoods. I'm a Travel Nurse and have recommended it to my company for future travelers. I would recommend this cabin to anyone interested in vacationing in the area. I rented from Feb. till the end of May.

  Beautiful cabin, comfortable, very clean, lovely and friendly owners very helpful if any questions raised about surrounding areas and places to visit. We very much enjoyed our stay :) There are local amenities around the corner including a post shop and thai restaurant. Beautiful beach is just few minutes away by car... Giant redwoods are just a throw of a stone away, also Smith River and beautiful mountains surround the area. Lots to see and do if you are an outdoor enthusiast!! I'd rate our experience at the cabin as EXCELLENT!!! and we will surely come back again soon! Thank you Mike,Jodie,Frank and David for a lovely time :)
