Every villa on St Barth claims to -have a fabulous view and for that reason alone the island is truly special; views do abound. Some are narrow, some clipped by terrain, some expansive, but sweeping is a bit harder to come by. Add to that an original design, imported materials, a private art collection and beautiful appointments and the potentials diminish quickly. Then add privacy and voila! - there is one - VILLA GRAND VISTA.
Wrapping around St. Barth's tallest peak lies this chic sprawling villa offering a breathtaking (really!) view from each of its three high-beamed pavilions. The central pavilion features one of the largest gourmet kitchens, with the latest stainless steel commercial appliances including a Traulsen glass-door ref/frz, Miele built-in coffee machine, huge solid maple Boos butcher block, and an enormous Lacanche stove (with pot-filler, oven, deep-fat fryer, simmer plate, electric and gas cooktops). The spacious dining area includes one indoor; and two outdoors, offering both sunny and shaded eating and entertaining areas.
Four arched double French doors provide the sunken living room with a direct view of the infinity pool & emerald sea below. Each pavilion and its separate rooms are uniquely designed in vibrant colors and textures and beautifully appointed. Because the villa is located in a rural area, it offers complete privacy and seclusion. Character, detail, and an unrivaled (no kidding!) view define Villa Grand Vista.
The master suite, located in its own pavilion with its private steps to the heated pool offers a CA king bed facing an enormous bay window room, and spacious bathroom. Its bathroom is simply spectacular. It is designed as one continuous integral flow of form and color, again with a mix of old and new. The ancient tadilak-style finish combines with the modern plume flow fixtures to create something interesting and unusual. There is a seamless flow from the walls to the sizable free-form bath, its large curved steps, the separate circular shower, an over-sized basin, and a separate toiletries/makeup area. Yet another view of the ocean (truly!) and wash of the Caribbean breezes are yours for the taking.
Further east are two guest rooms co-joined with an outdoor kitchenette and eating area. Winding around the Master suite and through a double door wooden gate lies the guest pavilion. The first guest room has a CA King four-poster bed, desk, and TV. It is finished in yellow scala and has a large bathroom and roomy shower with seat, and, of course, a spectacular (enough said!) view. The third guest room is finished in light lavender, has a queen poster bed, and built-in wall-to-wall double bunks for reading or just relaxing. The bathroom also contains a large shower and seat. Its aqua-colored finish complements the view of gorgeous Marigot Bay below.
Guests, rental agents, hotel owners and service personnel, who have seen many villas on St Barth, agree that Villa Grand Vista is truly magnifique!

Why the Owner Chose Vitet
My daughter and I built this villa after getting a fabulous opportunity to snatch a piece of unrivaled property. I still have the original sketches I made of the villa concept and room designs.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
Really, it's the view. It is so vast, seemingly endless sea. It's so funny to think of the houses near the ocean in Santa Cruz trying so hard to build a small terrace on the SW corner of the second floor o that they could see a sliver of water and honestly say they had an ocean view! Here it is nearly impossible not to see ocean and it's so clear - no smog, no haze, no fog.
Beach restaurants, hotel spas, wind and kite surfing, jet ski rentals visible from villa.
Arguably the hottest nightclub on the island just down from the villa in Pt Milou.
Great for snorkelin; many huge sea turtles. Access by boat or 30 min hike.
