  From the moment you are first in contact with Ben & Penny you know that you have chosen the perfect rental. They are the best of hosts who think of everything to make your stay in Beaune memorable. The apartment is housed in part of an old abbey with a spiral stone staircase -- practice carrying your bag around in a confined circle before arriving. The spacious apartment has all that you need -- outstanding kitchen, washing/dryer, modern baths, comfortable beds, and lots of space. Ben & Penny will meet you on arrival and share their wealth of experience from living in the area. Of all of our European rentals, this was the best. Count yourself fortunate if your dates are available. Hope to return one day.

  We had a family Christmas in Beaune this year and required a place big enough for 10 adults to dine together and also be suitable for children and infants. This flat worked on all counts (plus it was thoughtfully decorated and included a Christmas tree). The main sitting room is really comfortable and quite large- the pictures on the website don't do it justice! Cozy, quiet and in a centrally located (and beautiful) part of Beaune. A huge hit with rhe whole family!

  This was our second stay and we cannot say enough good things about the entire experience. Hosts Ben & Penny have taken every detail into consideration. They are available to greet guests and offer a wonderful service of train station pick up. They are as warm, gracious & welcoming as anyone could be ! As avid cooks, we find the well equipped & well lit kitchen a pleasure for preparing meals. Beds are comfortable and storage is spacious. The location of this beautiful apartment could not be better. You have a sense of this ancient city and at the same time you have all the necessary modern amenities to insure a comfortable stay. We would recommend this apartment to family & friends with total enthusiasm !

  This was the second time that we have stayed here and, as before, it was fantastic. The flat is beautiful and has everything one could need. Wonderful sitting room and excellently equipped kitchen. Highly recommended.

  We have family in Chagny and wanted a place to stay with a little more vitality and country living. After looking at VRBO, we found this wonderful place in Beaune that would suit our family of 5. To start, Ben and Penny were excellent hosts. They met us at the railroad station and brought us to the Abbey. After climbing the 43 steps (actually not that bad unless you are older or have leg problems), we entered this beautiful home. A large family room and dining room with excellent decor. A beautiful draft to keep the room cool; A kitchen with full appliances and easy to cook with. The bedrooms were upstairs with a loft for my daughter and a separate bedroom for my sons as well as two bathrooms and internet access. Everything was done first class. We arrived on a Friday which was perfect since the outdoor market is on Saturday. Brought some food back fr lunch and breakfast for the next several days. Wine tasting was amazing in the area and the restaurants were excellent. We went to Cheval Noir and had a beautiful meal. All stores and restaurants were also accomadating to my family's Gluten free dietary needs. We will come back and plan on staying here in the future.

  We had a short stay in this apartment and cannot recommend it highly enough. Firstly, the quality, finish and cleanliness of the apartment was exceptional. For us, equivalent to a quality hotel finish. Secondly, the location is fantastic. Close to the centre of town and the all of the key attractions in the town ... but still close enough to the vineyards to be able to walk 10 minutes to the edge of the town go for a jog through the local vineyards. Fantastic. Thirdly, very personable hosts who took care that we got maximum enjoyment from our short stay in Beaune. We cannot recommend this apartment enough. We would highly recommend the apartment to families traveling with children, or for couples looking for somewhere special. Only as a courtesy to those with mobility issues, like many French apartments which are off the ground floor, you need to access the apartment via an internal building flight of stairs. We cannot imagine that these would be an issue other than those who have moderate to significant mobility issues.

  The description of the apartment is spot on. The photos do not do the property justice. We spent 5 days here and had easy access to the sights of Beaune, the restaurants, market, vineyards and shopping. The apartment is a modern restoration of a medieval building, including a fully furnished kitchen, washer/dryer, and wi-fi. It was extremely clean. As noted in the description, access to the apartment is via an old stone circular staircase. We found it to be quite amusing, but older guests or those with young children might find it difficult to negotiate. Parking is located nearby and a parking pass was provided. The train station is a 15 minute walk. Penny was very attentive during the reservation process and during our check in. As we were departing early, she called to check on our visit the night before we left. I would highly recommend this apartment, and would definitely stay there again if we return to the area.

  Everything is as described and is provided generously: whatever towels, sheets, pillows, fans you could need. Beautifully cared for apartment, clean, with thoughtful additions for comfort.terrific for a pair of grandparents, two parents and a baby. The owners gave us a ride to and from the train station, making our aririval and departure a breeze and they had outfitted the kitchen with all the basics as well as plenty of equipment to make food prep a snap, so it was possible to make a meal, brew coffee and feel secure until we could get to the markets the next day. Beaune is at the heart of Burgundy wine country, and there are so many easy ways to tour the The owners offer a guest book of reviews of restaurants and vineyards, the town of Beaune is welcoming, and great walking. We biked, hiked, walked, shopped for terrific breads, cured meats, great cheeses, terrific wines, and came back to the Beaune apartment to be comfortable, rest and read, and enjoy the evening. We would all recommend this apartment to families, couples and friends.
