Great family retreat

This cozy cabin features updated appliances and furnishings. The home is was complrtely remodeled in 2022 with all new furnishings and appliances. One bedroom and one full bath plus laundry facilities on the main floor. Two bedrooms and one full bath on the upper level. Spacious kitchen - well appointed with coffee maker, toaster, griddle, electric pressure cooker, pots, pans, bakeware, dishes, wine glasses, etc... The upstairs prinary bedroom has a One king bed, smart TV and a view of the river from the private balcony. Also upstairs is a ski themed bunk room. The bunk room has a full bed, 2 twin daybeds, a triple bunk and a smart TV. one queen bed, one full bed and 6 twin The main floor guest room has a queen bed and a cozy rocking chair for a quiet place to enjoy a good book. We have high speed fiber optic WIFI for all your streaming needs.. Large deck with new (2023) hot tub, outdoor dining and living areas, covered gas grill and Ooni pizza oven. Roast marshmallows over the fire pit or relax in the hammock and hear the sounds of the roaring Wenatchee River. Located just 7 miles from Lake Wenatchee and 16 miles from historic Leavenworth this home is ideally located. You can hike, bike, swim and float in the summer and ski, tub, snow mobile in the winter. Nice place...about 30 minute drive from Leavenworth
The house is in a quiet neighborhood and was as described. We enjoyed the hot tub and streaming services provided. The only issue was that someone apparently unloaded an unwashed load of dishes, so we kept pulling very dirty, used dishes and cups from the cabinets.

Super relaxing cabin stay
This cabin had everything we needed! There was a well stocked kitchen and great decor throughout.We loved sitting on the deck and walking to the beautiful river for a relaxing afternoon. We highly recommend a stay here!

A little nugget of heaven!
Wow, this place is so peaceful! The cabin was so comfortable with every amenity provided for. I loved how quiet it is in the area -- the sounds of crickets at night, sounds of the river, sound of the wind blowing in the trees. We loved playing in the river and swimming in the river in Leavenworth. I love this cabin so much and cannot wait to return!

Picked the coldest time of this year to stay, started snowing and didn't stop. Temperatures were so cold. The cabin stayed warm and the owners were very helpful. Would love to make all of the floors in my home the same as the main bathroom floor there. It was warm and comfortable, best place in the house to step.

Beautiful cabin near Leavenworth
This cabin was PERFECT! 6 of us stayed here for New Year’s Eve weekend. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. It was about 30 min from Leavenworth, which was perfect for us because we didn’t want to deal with the Leavenworth traffic. The hot tub was the highlight of our trip (which easily fit all 6 of us), but the entire cabin was so perfectly managed. The fire place inside, the fire pit outside, stocked fire wood, ample blankets, the kitchen appliances, the smart TV- everything was really ideal. It was very clean. The living room and kitchen was wonderful for us to hang out and have dinner. We cooked several meals in the well stocked kitchen and didn’t need any appliances or pans. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing cabin trip!

Great family retreat
Our family spent Christmas at this perfect retreat that fit our family and dogs perfectly. The house setup was perfect for our multi-generational family. It was well furnished and decorated nicely for Christmas including a Christmas tree. Great fully equipped kitchen and a large family room with plenty of seating for all of us. The bedrooms were nicely furnished and decorated with comfortable beds. The yard was great and perfect for the dogs to run around. We had a fantastic Christmas here and will definitely be back. Thank you for a great experience.

Perfect Christmas Cabin!
We have stayed here each year for 4 years. Each year, it is transformed into a Christmasy cozy place full of decor and decorations that have changed each. It is beautifully maintained and has had recent updates. We just love it!

Perfect getaway
It was the perfect spot for us to unwind and do nothing. We were close enough to things to do but really enjoyed just staying at the retreat. Owners had thoughtfully decorated for the holiday season and it looked beautiful. Very peaceful and quiet setting. Our only regrets were we didn’t book longer!

We’ve stayed in many rental homes…this one was the first we’ve ever stayed in that completely met our expectations based on the pictures. And even exceeded them!!!!! The owners thought of every little detail that could make our stay perfect…even little things like tissues in the bathrooms (which I rarely find in rentals but I so appreciate), lots of throw blankets to make our stay cozy, and everything we needed to cook all our meals at home during our stay. House was very clean and there’s literally nothing that could have made our stay better. The hot tub was wonderful, there’s a park with river access just down the street, Lake Wenatchee state park is close and stunning, and the town of Leavenworth is only a 30 minute drive. We hope to return to this lovely home.

We had an amazing time here. The house was very warm and welcoming. It’s about a 30 minute drive into town which was perfect. The amenities were great, we didn’t realize there was a ping pong table until the last night. Our toddler loved the park down the street.

Perfect Family Escape
We have rented at least at least 6-8 vacation cabins in the Leavenworth area and this one has been by far the best. Tastefully furnished and decorated. The layout was perfect for our multi-generational family. Our teens had a room to themselves where they could veg out upstairs and my parents enjoyed a downstairs bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen was well stocked with sharp knives, good pots/pans, and everything we needed. The cabin was very clean, beds were comfortable, and lots of extra blankets and towels provided. Lots to do at the house (indoor and outdoor games, multiple TVs, great outside spaces) and in the neighborhood (playground, riverfront area). All the essentials can be found just a couple miles away in Plain, and downtown Leavenworth is within 30 minutes. Host was responsive, but everything was in order so we had no reason to reach out once we got there. Highly recommend!

We are long time Washington residents. We love to travel and visit places near and far. We fell in love with the Leavenworth area and especially the Ponderosa Community. We are looking forward to making many memories there with our children, grand children, family and friends.

Why they chose this property

After looking for a vacation home for over a year we found this wonderful property. The owner's built this home for their family in 1989 and you can feel the love and warmth that they poured into it from the moment you walk in. We were instantly drawn to it.

What makes this property unique

The home has a open floor plan. Your whole family can gather in the dining area or sit in the big comfy sectional. It is a wonderful place to reconnect with extended family or just cozy up for a couples retreat. The backyard faces the Wenatchee River. You can roast marshmallows around the fireplace and listen to calming sounds of the Wenatchee River. There is ample seating on the deck and around the fire pit.
