  • Charming beach getaway

"My family - 2 adults and a 1 year old - enjoyed this relaxing, ocean-side residence this past March and April. It exceeded our expectations. The owner, Susan, is as charming as the apartment. She was very easy to work with, kept in contact as needed, and was thoughtful in her accommodations. The unit is not expansive, but we found it very adequate for our two-month stay. The kitchen is comfortable to work in and eat in with a two-person table (that can seat four). The seating in the living room is comfortable and I enjoyed the desk in the corner that allowed a space to keep the laptop. The bed is very, VERY comfortable and there is a wall of large closets to keep all your things. The bathroom is likely the original, but that wasn't a problem. In fact, the huge tub was a real enjoyment for my 6'5" husband (though if he were taller he would hit the tub ceiling - the only low ceiling in the condo). There is a step down into the tub and a step up into the bathroom - we had no troubles with either. The extra storage above the tub area was very useful. The air conditioning works very well and the windows open up for great cross breezes through the condo which were lovely during that time of year especially on the safe 2nd floor. Not even 100 steps away is a beautiful, rarely crowded beach. It was amazing!! The condo is located just off the broadwalk. I preferred this verses being directly on the broadwalk which stays pretty noisy at night. It is so picturesque to walk along the broadwalk or enjoy breakfast or an icecream while enjoying that beautiful water. We walked it nearly every day! The sandy beaches are very deep, the clear water perfect, and the town of Hollywood - that feels like stepping back in time to old California or Florida - allows you to live essentially without a car. There's a trolley stop near the condo and restaurants within walking distance. Don't miss food truck Mondays or the many activities and concerts in Arts Park at Young Circle (downtown) or at the library or senior center across the street. We were also in walking distance to the playground. We got internet through our phones. Susan had chairs and umbrellas for us to use, a pretty well-stocked kitchen, and even a grill! Staying here was wonderful and a large part of our falling in love with Hollywood. We've already brought our family back and are very pleased we found Susan and her lovely home on the beach in Hollywood!! Highly recommended!! Enjoy! Thanks Susan!"

  • We really enjoyed this home!

"Very comfortable, clean, and classy. This house was easy to live in, and the kitchen and bathrooms are really lovely. We also enjoyed sitting out in the back yard every morning; there's an almost jungle-like collection of palms and plants along the back fence. The owners were very accommodating and made the experience quite pleasant."

  • Great Condo In Jupiter

"We had a wonderful time this winter at Ocean Bluffs! The condo was comfortable, clean and has a gorgeous view. The neighbors are friendly. The owners, Margaret & Tim, are great and very helpful. The Jupiter area has lots to do and has fantastic restaurants. We are already booked for next year - I think that says it all."

  • Absolutely Wonderful Experience

""Spectacular" doesn't start to describe this wonderful VRBO property. This was our first experience with VRBO and we didn't know what to expect. The condo was absolutely breath-taking from the minute we walked off the private elevator and into the wonderful and tasteful home. Location, Location, Location...right on the beach with views of the lighthouse on Light House Point. Close to all the restaurants, grocery, anything you might need. It surpassed the description in every way. The owners were wonderful to work with in all areas of the transactions. Complete directions for everything in the condo as well as 'right on' suggestions for good/wonderful restaurants awaited us upon arrival. Fantastic views of the Pompano Beach and the Coastal Waterway were available in all the rooms. The underground parking, great pool, and beach entrance were literally steps away from the condo. We hated to leave and can't wait to go back. Everything you need is right here at 327842 and well worth the money. We can't wait to go back!"

Florida South East Travel Tips

Southeast Florida is known as one of the best beach spots in the U.S., and it truly has something for everyone. If you’re looking for a party spot or a nice place for family travel, you can find it all here. Check out these great vacation locales:

Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale is likely the most family-friendly locale in Southeast Florida, with plenty of cozy bed and breakfast options near the beach. And of course, there are abundant beaches to choose from! Check out the main beach and the popular Fort Lauderdale Beach Promenade, which recently underwent a $26 million dollar renovation. Aside from lounging on the beach and playing in the sand, take the kids for a stroll on the promenade, watch serious beach volleyball players compete and have lunch at Oasis Cafe or Shula’s on the Beach.

If you want a quieter beach to take the family to, head to the John U. Lloyd Beach State Park at Dania’s Beach. It’s less crowded, has gorgeous views and is an excellent swimming spot. There are also 250 acres of barrier island to explore via guided nature trails.

At some point, head into the city and shop on popular Las Olas Boulevard. The kids will love Kilwin’s Chocolates and Ice Cream for delightful sweets and Basics for souvenirs. Other fun family-friendly activities include taking a ride on the Fort Lauderdale Sun Trolley, checking out the Museum of Discovery and Science and embarking on a cool boat tour with BlueFoot Pirate Adventures, where the kids learn pirate slang, enjoy pirate face painting and set sail!

Miami and Miami Beach

Miami and it’s counterpart just across Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach, have things for both families and partiers.

For kids

Take kids to the Miami Children’s Museum, a delightful place with hands-on activities that teach about different professions. They can run a pretend vet clinic or learn what firefighters do, among other things. There’s also a nice playground here. Planet Air is an awesome spot for older kids to let out their excess energy. It has a huge trampoline park, more than 30 ropes courses, rock climbing facilities and bungee trampolines so kids can get some air in a 6,000-square-foot space. There’s also the Miami Seaquarium, the Lion Country Safari and Jungle Island where you can get up close and personal with exotic wildlife. For an off-the-beaten path feature, check out Wynwood Walls, an area in midtown Miami known for its beautiful art. Kids can run freely around whimsical life-size murals. For a cool treat, head to The Frieze Ice Cream Factory in Miami Beach. Do your souvenir shopping at Bayside Marketplace, an excellent little collection of souvenir stands, clothing stores and sweet shops.

For adults

Miami is renowned the world over for its excellent nightlife and party scene. If you’re heading to Miami or Miami Beach with a group of friends, don’t miss out on these awesome clubs, bars, restaurants and other places for adults:

- Grab dinner at glamorous hotspot The Forge, a rococo-style steakhouse with a Parisian facade and serious celebrity chops.

- Head to Little Havana for a taste of authentic Cuban food, shops and cigars.

- Hang out on South Beach. The iconic Miami hangouts are Joe’s Stone Crab, Opium Garden and Nikki Beach Club.

- Visit the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens on Biscayne Bay. It’s a European-style estate with beautiful artwork and antiques that really stand out among the beachy and relaxed feel of Miami.

- Look for celebrities at fabulous renowned restaurants, including Casa Tua, Prime 112 and Soho Beach House.

- Hit the clubs! Miami is known for its lavish nightlife, and some of the best are Myntlounge, Mokai Miami, LIV and Rokbar Miami.

Palm Beach and West Palm Beach

These side-by-side locales are best known as cities where older adults retire to enjoy the warm weather and relaxed lifestyle. Whether you’re visiting family or just looking for a quiet, pretty place to vacation, there’s plenty to do and see in the Palm Beach area.

Check out the stunning Henry Morrison Flagler Museum, a 73-room mansion completed in 1902 that is an excellent representation of the Gilded Age with its grand staircases, original artwork, and gold-brushed ceilings. Take a tour and see most of the original furnishings and learn more about the life of this railroad magnate. The photo opportunities here are spectacular. Lay out on the beaches of Peanut Island and John D. MacArthur Beach State Park, stroll in the Mounts Botanical Garden, shop on Worth Avenue and take the kids to the perfect little Palm Beach Zoo.
