Austin 4th of July
"We had a great time at this property! We loved the location, it made for a nice walk to downtown or a super short cab ride/ long walk to activities south of the river. The inside was comfy and had everything we could need and the outside patio was an extra bonus! I would highly recommend this property to others :)"

"How do we know it's cool? We had some local friends over. "How'd you score this place? You in the best part of town." That's how we know. And they were right. The property is close to downtown, close to some great eating, coffee, and shopping. I suggest finding the grocery store Fresh Plus; it's just 2 miles away, the produce is good, the meat is GREAT, and prices are reasonable. Whole Foods is close and HEB is reasonably close. I strongly suggest the 24 Diner at any time of day.
The house itself is lovely. The upstairs loft design is neat and makes great use of space. The bedrooms are a good size, closets are big, and beds are all very comfortable. The beds in the bedrooms downstairs and upstairs are super sweet and king sized. The second bed upstairs is a over-sized double. The kitchen is very functional and FULLY STOCKED! She's got just about everything you need to cook and feed 10 or more people.
This place saved us three hotel rooms and countless restaurant visits. Home cooked breakfast with fully stocked fridge is sooooo much cheaper. It was a relaxing place to be after competition. The living room is lovely, inviting place to sit and talk or watch TV.
OK, now the downside... if you can call it that... first, there's no blender. There are margarita glasses and no blender. And for another, the fold out couch is NOT COMFORTABLE folded out. Keep it folded and throw on some sheets for the extra sleeper. The TV you'll want to turn on at the TV rather than with the remote. That's about it. I also, struggled with the washer, but that was more me being an idiot than the washer.
The owner is helpful and was flexible to our particular situation... allowed a lot of flexibility for payment. Made life so much less stressful... and she sufferred my stupid text about how to use the washer.
Finally some details. We were in Austin for a Taekwondo Tournament with our two teenage kids, and their coach. The tournament was at the convention center and were it not so hot, we would have walked to the venue. As it was the drive into downtown was about 10 minutes.
Overall, this place fully deserves a 5 star rating. Made our vacation thoroughly enjoyable."
