Firetower Chalet: Majestic views+private 60 acres
Welcome to the Firetower Chalet, where classic family charm meets breathtaking countryside views! If you're longing to wake up to amazing vistas and immerse yourself in 70 acres of private Pennsylvania wilderness, look no further!
Our chalet draws inspiration from the fire watch towers found in the enchanting western forests. It's all yours to enjoy, and we've designed it with your comfort and joy in mind. On the first floor, you'll find a cozy living area equipped with comfy seating and a smart TV for your entertainment. The fully stocked kitchen is fit-for-a-chef, boasting a refrigerator, electric stove, oven, microwave, French press, Keurig, toaster, and waffle-maker. Oh, and don't forget the bathroom – it's got a spacious shower, sink, and toilet for your convenience.
Upstairs, the master bedroom awaits, showcasing a queen bed with a plush tuft and needle adaptive foam mattress. But the real showstopper is the jaw-dropping panoramic view of the Pennsylvania mountains and countryside, visible from the windows all around. Under the bed, we've stashed some drawers for your clothing and other essentials, including extra linens just in case. Need more space? Upstairs also has a delightful loft area, perfect for kids or another group, complete with a cozy carpet and a mattress.
And that's not all! Outside, you'll be enchanted by the wraparound balcony offering 360-degree views of the countryside – the perfect spot to create beautiful memories with your loved ones. And if you're up for a unique experience, explore our cable suspended bridge leading to a treehouse-style platform. Plus, there's a downstairs patio with an outdoor propane warmer, fire-pit, and a hammock – everything you need to unwind and bask in the beauty of nature.
On top of all this, the Firetower Chalet is nestled on 70 acres of pristine Pennsylvania countryside, waiting for you to explore. Wander along gentle hills, diverse terrains, and private wooded trails – perfect for hiking, biking, or cross-country skiing. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife like deer, bear, and turkey, and enjoy the natural splendors of the gorgeous Susquehanna valley. It's a secluded and remote haven that promises to make your stay truly special.
Should you need anything or have any questions, we're just a message or call away. Your comfort and happiness are our top priorities!
Venturing beyond the chalet, you're just 3 minutes away from the vibrant town of Bloomsburg, offering diverse offerings, a top-rated theatre group, and activities at Bloomsburg University. And if you're looking for family fun, the #1 family amusement park in the country, Knoebels, is a mere 10-15 minutes away.
Getting to the property may be an adventure, but it's well worth it. Ideally, a 4-wheel drive vehicle is preferred, especially in inclement weather. But don't worry, if you don't have one, we can lend you our trusty farm truck. Two bikes are also available for your off-road explorations on the property.
The Firetower Chalet is a truly unique gem, a cozy retreat inspired by West coast firetowers, boasting all modern comforts. We're more than happy to provide you with information about the area and fun activities on-site.

What an unbelievable treasure! Located on a beautiful property with lots of space to explore, the fire tower is a fun tuck away that just uses with character and ambience. Just being there helps you feel connected with nature and the people you’re with! I will certainly be coming back!
The beauty of this place is beyond words. Its so peaceful and quiet and feels secluded but is actually conveniently close to town. The Firetower itself is amazing. Its one of the coolest places you'll ever find to stay in and has all of the conveniences and amenities of home.
Host was very welcoming and kept in touch. The property was beautiful and we had a nice relaxing weekend. Only issue was the split unit for heating and cooling in the bedroom was really loud, the find creaked very loudly. Ceiling fans could use a little dusting.
We didn't go to ski, just for a quiet weekend away. It was very secluded and private. Chris was very helpful if needed. The property is very beautiful, my wife and I had a nice two mile walk around the place and saw lots of deer.
From the communication to the beautiful house . This was the best place we have ever stayed at. Breath taken views and so private. The owner was awesome and we appreciate everything. We will be staying here again .

Thanks for the visit. We enjoyed having you both. Happy Holidays
We had an amazing time at the Fire Tower. It was a mid way point for my cousins and my family to meet to have a nice boys trip together. The kids obviously loved the loft and wrap around deck on the property. We spent many nights having fires and cooking food/smores. The area is very secluded so we never felt that music was too loud or that we lacked any privacy. We enjoyed watching the local animals such as deer wonder the property. Much of our time was spent fishing in the surrounding ponds and rivers and it was so nice that, even while being very secluded, there were so many attractions and grocery stores that were conveniently located within a 10 minute drive. It was extremely hot so we didn’t go on as many hikes as we wished, but we were extremely grateful that the fire tower had split units that kept us super comfortable. Everything was exactly what we were hoping for. The kitchen had every amenity that was necessary for cooking for two small families. Our favorite part was probably drinking coffee and eating breakfast at the outdoor table on the second floor watching the sunrise in the nearby mountains. 10/10 would recommend. The host was also extremely responsive and helpful with any questions that we had. Probably scheduling a trip again for next year!
We had such great stay at the Fire tower. We roasted s'mores, walked the trails, visited Knoebels and just enjoyed the beautiful view. Highly recommend and hope to visit again!
We had a very nice weekend away celebrating our wedding anniversary. The firetower was beautiful. We hiked around the property and enjoyed the convenience of downtown Bloomsburg.

Loved that you had a chance to do some winter hiking. Enjoyed hosting you.
The house is on a beautiful piece of property. Very secluded yet you are only a mile from downtown Bloomsburg. Also, only a short ride to Ricketts Glen, which I highly recommend going to.

About the host
Hosted by Chris D
My wife and two children love hosting guests and equally enjoy traveling to new places using VRBO and similar services. We have a tree farm where we built this cabin to enjoy the great property it sits on. We come up to the farm to have wonderful family time and explore the area. We have lived in the area for about 15 years having moved from the North Carolina area.
Why they chose this property
We built the firetower at our tree farm to enjoy more time at the farm. We took 3 years to make the cabin our own and are happy to share it with this wonderful community. This property is one of a kind and inspires many thoughts as you sit and relax in its wonderful spots.
What makes this property unique
The unique feature of this place is the tremendous views while laying in bed in all directions. The outdoor space on the decks as well as the private 60 acres make it an extraordinary experience. It is an active tree farm so please enjoy the trees and get familar with the different species and varietals.
