In an enviable position, this first floor flat sleeps four guests in two bedrooms and is perfectly placed just three minutes walk from the golden beach and many attractions of Swanage on Dorset's Jurassic coastline.
Perfect for friends or families looking for a seaside break, the flat is comfortable and offers a good mix of modern conveniences and antique furniture to ensure guests have everything needed for a pleasurable stay.
A dedicated parking bay is provided for guests using the apartment.
The flat sits within an impressive property on the first floor across the road from the railway station (perfect for steam train enthusiasts and those who want to explore the area without a car).
Accommodation comprises:
• Sitting room with two comfy sofas and flat screen television.
• Spacious dining room with table and seating for four plus comfy chairs to relax. Large windows let the light flood in and provide a nice environment for chatting, relaxing and eating with views allowing you to catch sight of Ballard Down and also the steam railway.
• Well-equipped kitchen with washing machine, microwave, dishwasher, cooker, fridge and freezer and plenty of work space for preparing food.
• Double bedroom at the back of the house with dressing table and space to hang clothes. This room has an en-suite shower room with WC and wash basin.
• Flexible twin bedroom that can also be made up as a super-king by prior arrangement. This room has a wardrobe, dressing table/desk.
• Family bathroom with shower over bath, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.
Additional information: Non smokers only. The neighbours below and above the flat are residents so the owner's ask that guests respect this. Dogs welcome by arrangement. High chair available upon request. Prices include heating, electricity, bed linen and towels (one hand and one bath per person).

Little getaway

The property was absolutely perfect for what we wanted, with the added bonus of a parking space as we didn't use the car the whole time we were there! Would definitely be back again

The location was excellent for our purposes and foodstores nearby. The host was friendly and prompt in answering queries before we stayed.However, the apartment is in need of updating and its soft furnishings and carpets need a deep clean. The carpet in the front bedroom is threadbare in patches and the curtain hanging off the rail.

Midweek break.

Really lovely flat in a perfect location in the heart of Swanage. Everything you need in this flat it has, beds comfortable and the flat doesn’t feel cramped at all. Parking at the rear is perfect. Highly recommend this flat. Thanks for a lovely stay will definitely be back for a week next time!!!

Great location for Swanage town centre and walking.

The flat was in a great location just a few minutes walk from the town with all of the restaurants, pubs and shops. The front of the property overlooks the heritage steam railway. We were four adults staying for 3 nights. The flat is spacious enough for everyone to feel comfortable. As well as two double bedrooms (one en-suite) there are separate kitchen, dining and living rooms. If we were to visit Swanage again we would definitely book this flat.

Nice accommodation in perfect position to see what we wanted to see

The flat was a good standards. Owner always kept in touch and responded to some issues we had. Only downside was noise from residents above as early as 6:30 in the morning. Not anything the owner could help with. Perfect position for the coast, nice restaurants nearby, lovely close proximity of the steam railway for a trip to Corfe Castle. We also walked a lot taking in Harry’s Rocks, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove. Good price for this accommodation. Would stay here again

Sorry to hear you had problems with noise from the apartment above. This apartment is also used as a holiday rental so the noise is going to depend on the people renting the flat above. I will contact the owner to ensure there is a note in their rental rules concerning consideration for the people in the apartment below to try and prevent future occurrences.

Excellent location

The property is lovely and well equipped. There is a steep staircase with narrow depth stairs to the flat, which were manageable, but not ideal. There are handrails on both sides though. Great view of the station, dog friendly and close to town centre and beach. Only criticisms are lots of Nik naked which collect dust, cutlery drawer could do with a clean and a clothes horse would be useful. However beds were comfortable, lots of seating and great views. Parking space great and roomy. Would stay again.

Perfect situation for a flat, so close to the town and beach. Flat was clean and tidy and had all necessary equipment and some extra resources eg games and books. Bedrooms very very comfortabke and it was a bright and airy flat. Didnt use the TV but dont think that gave much choice and one of sofas needs replacing really. However I would stay again as location, ease and brightness of the flat superseeded anything else.

Needs updating

On the plus side rooms are spacious and it’s in a fabulous location.Unfortunately the flat needs updating… thread bare carpet in bedroom, torn and very old curtains. Lots of stains on carpets that are in need of a deep clean. Generally the flat didn’t feel fresh and clean which was very disappointing especially as we were charged 80 for cleaning!

Lovely location

A lovely quirky two bedroom flat in a great location. Plenty of equipment and facilities although looks tired in places and could do with some updating. In particular the sofa facing the TV definitely needs replacing, as do the curtains in the front bedroom. I’m not sure if the storage heaters work as there are radiators as well but they need some attention. The main point though is the stairs which are steep with a narrow tread which should be mentioned in the description as they were difficult for all of us. However, for its location, parking and amenities I would stay again.

first time in swanage

the apartment was situated perfectly, very spacious and fairly comfy. unfortunately i believe the cleaners who are employed are letting this property down. considering the present situation with covid i assume we would be going into a very clean apartment, this was not. sticky surfaces all throughout, the on suite shower is blocked and the tray filled up quickly,when it eventually drained it left behind hair and other scum. happily we had another bathroom. really need to sort the en suite shower and also the cleaners.

Steve, Thankyou for your feedback. I have raised your issues with our cleaners. The slight stickiness on the surfaces that you mention is actually due to the Covid precautions they are taking to keep guests safe. It is the residue from the anti bacterial sprays they are using on all surfaces during the changeovers. This is made worse by the hot weather. The shower drain is something we were made aware of after your visit as another guest dropped me an email so this should now be sorted. I hope these issues didn't affect your enjoyment of your first stay in Swanage. Richard

Location was everything

The house is very tall..3 floors and the apartment is on the second floor. The location is opposite the train station, that was a massive plus as we enjoyed watching the steam trains. It's literally a 5+10 minute walk to either the town or the beach. I can't over emphasize the beauty of the location. The garden is well kept and contained. The stairs are steep but that is in keeping with the age of the property, we didn't find it a problem but best to be aware. The apartment was indeed very roomy and light and airy, it didn't feel like the normal rental, it was really just like a home. Both bedrooms were roomy, one at the front and one ensuite at the back. If you need the bathroom at night,best to use the back room. The kitchen was well equipped and all in all it was a pleasure to stay here.. if we return to Swanage, we'll be back!

Zeer centraal gelegen appartement. Fijne ruimtes. Tweepersoons bed is smal de andere zeer royaal. Schoonmaak kosten zijn zeer hoog maar de inventaris is vies. Fijne voorkamer en eetkamer. Tegenover de supermarkt.

Short break to attend the Swanage Folk Festival

Comfortable and convenient flat overlooking the steam railway. Well equipped and a great location- easy walk to the sea front and shops. Good living space and 2 comfortable bedrooms. Thanks for letting us stay- hoping to return for the festival next year!

our Swanage stay

We have stayed in a number of different properties in Swange and this flat was definitely well located. It is a large flat with lovely views of the station and it was well equipped. The parking space was very useful too. We had an issue with the boiler which the owner helped to rectify. The only negative was the bed in the master bedroom at the back was very uncomfortable. There is a sofa bed in the lounge but this was uncomfortable too. The beds in the front bedroom were very comfortable though. Generally could do with updating but a nice flat in a great location.
