Bienvenidos a la "Casa de Chão da Mó" en Marco de Canaveses - (35 MIN del OPORTO CENTER).
Disfrute de esta casa de vacaciones con INFINITY PRIVATE PISCINA en la orilla del río Tâmega en su margen derecha, a 20 metros del río. Su situación geográfica, con la ventaja de estar un poco alejada del resto de casas del pueblo, ubicada en un espacio verde de aproximadamente 6 hectáreas, con el río al este, lo convierte en el lugar IDEAL para quienes prefieren pasar las vacaciones en paz, es el perfecto ESCAPE de la realidad!
Esta casa de vacaciones tiene un paisaje increíble incrustado en una gran zona verde de bosque y jardines, ofreciendo al visitante un entorno privilegiado de descanso y PRIVACIDAD TOTAL.
La casa "Chão da Mó" incluye una sala de estar con CHIMENEA, una cocina, un pasillo, dos dormitorios (con una cama doble) y dos dormitorios en el piso superior (uno de los dormitorios con dos camas individuales y otro con una cama individual sofá cama) y dos baños. We had a great stay at Chao da Mo. The slope down to where the paddle boards and kayaks was too steep and long for the wheelchair user in our party but two of us had a good paddle around. It’s an easy drive into Porto for Museums and swimming in the Piscina Maritime also the Vineyards of the Douro Valley. A really great clean pool even though its pump is a little noisy. Overall a very relaxing break in beautiful countryside with a very interesting garden.

Beautiful Douro Valley

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at this home in Douro Valley. This is one of the nicest and most unique places we’ve ever stayed. Miguel was so kind and left Port, flowers and treats for us! The property is beautiful with flowers and fruit trees everywhere. We enjoyed use of the kayak and private pool - view is stunning. The stone walls throughout the house add to the charm. Would stay again!

Amazing house

This place is absolutely amazing. The house is lovely. From the infinity pool and from the beautiful garden you have a gorgeous view of the Tâmega river. The location is quiet and secure. We stayed here 4 people, 2 adults and our two teenage boys. We enjoyed using the kayak, SUP boards, playing football and relaxing in the hammocks. The house has all the equipment needed. We can certainly recommend this place!

Relaxing and peaceful getaway

Very helpful hosts who communicated with us before, during and after our holiday. The villa was as described and we had a wonderful 2 week stay. The pool was the highlight for me and I spent many hours enjoying a wonderful swim with breathtaking views of the river Tamega. We made use of the kayak but didn't use the paddleboards. The kayak was really good fun. Would highly recommend.

Very peaceful, Beautiful old house

We stayed for 3 nights. Beautiful old house, view of water below was so lovely. Enjoyed the pool but it was a little late in the year so it was just a little cold for us at our age. We still did get into it twice. Kitchen had all the pots and utensils we needed. We would love to stay here again when in Portugal.

Beautiful Stone House and Property

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children aged 9&12) absolutely loved this 150 year old stone house! The location was beautiful, quiet and secure. Check-in and communication with the property owners over WhatsApp was easy and efficient. Miguel and his father Alexandre were incredibly kind and hospitable. The house was lovely and had an amazing infinity pool with a gorgeous view of the Tâmega river. We really enjoyed using the kayak, SUP boards and relaxing in the hammocks. The house and property were well maintained and tranquil. We could not have chosen a better place to stay - my kids are still raving about it! We will definitely stay here again!

Stunning garden, view and pool

Beautiful property, immaculately clean, extremely well equipped, very friendly and helpful owners. Unfortunately this time of year (July) use of the kayak and paddle boards risky as there is a blue-green algae problem as that section of the river Tamega is very warm and slow and it can be very toxic. Nothing the owners can do about this but aside from that minor disappointment we were delighted with our stay and would like to go again earlier in the year.

Perfect retreat

We really loved this place. Felt like a proper family home and in the most beautiful and peaceful of surroundings . So many nice touches, a pot of fresh herbs outside the kitchen door, a great barbecue, outside lights, bottle of port and hooks everywhere for wet towels. Miguel and his dad were right there to meet us and show us the way -don’t think we would have found it! We were a bit unlucky with the weather but that just meant we visited a few more places. We swam in the rain . Would recommend to anyone but think active teenagers would particularly enjoy it. Thank you, thank you

Paradise in the valley

We spent 5 weeks in Portugal, touring much of the countryside, and this homestay was our absolute favourite, hands-down. Perched on the riverside, this fantastic stone house and infinity pool had all the amenities that you need for an extended stay. The hosts, Miguel and Alexandre were very friendly and excellent communicators. We took the local train to Porto for a day (60 minutes each way, ran every hour) and could not wait to get back to our home in the valley! This property is a true countryside experience, has it all, including paddleboards and a three-person kayak. We highly recommend this property and will be back for an extended visit next time. A fabulous property in a beautiful location

Where do we start. The property was set in the most stunning location. There was peace and tranquility in abundance. Our teenagers loved the use of the pool and the extensive grounds (the hammocks got a lot of use). The kayaks and paddle boards were amazing and we used these several times during our stay. Entry and exit into the river was a little tricky, but worth the effort. The property had a rustic charm, it was comfortable and clean. The wifi was excellent (a teenager's must). The addition of an outside shower room was great. The kitchen missed a cooker, but this did not hinder us, it meant we ate out more enjoying the delicious local food. Alexandre and Miguel were helpful throughout. We have certainly fallen in love with North Portugal, its towns, people, food and this property and hope to return in the future.

Idyllic holiday house

This property is set in beautiful lush grounds with a wonderful view across the river. If you are looking for a quiet holiday in lovely surroundings with your own private pool , big enough to swim comfortably in, then this is ideal. The house is comfortable, spotlessly clean with everything you need . Added bonus of paddle boards and kayak are a great addition and there are lots of lovely shaded area to sit when sun gets too hot!. The hosts Miquel and Alexandre are fantastic. Alexandre was there to show us to the property still with a courteous welcome even though we ended up arriving at unsociable time of 2:30 am due to a delayed flight. Both were at the end of the phone while i kept giving a later and later arrival time. Communication from them is excellent and they are happy to answer any questions . This property definitely lives up to its description and more and I would highly recommend it.

Idyllic escape off tourist trail

We arrived late at night due to flight delays which made for an interesting journey as this is rural - BUT the directions are excellent from the property link on VRBO. Even solid you can arrive in the day it would likely be better. Only when we awoke could we appreciate how wonderful the cottage and gardens are. The views are absolutely beautiful. To float about in the pool while listening to the birds and looking down the river will certainly fasttrack relaxation. A couple of minutes walk down the river you’ll find the paddle boards and kayaks and in just a few minutes you’re out on the water which was an easy area to paddle about or explore a little further afield. We are a family and our teens are 13 and 15.We had a couple of little issues but they were responded to in minutes. We called because of a problem with the gate and before we knew it, it was repaired. There were many excursions we could have done but we spent half of our time enjoying the site itself for a much needed break and in the evening playing cards and chatting. And of course making use of the pool, kayaks and SUPs. The excursions we chose were going inland to Piñhao for a scenic drive, a day trip to Porto (a must), a day at the Amarante water park and a trip to FC Porto.The cottage is one of the best equipped I’ve ever used: we had a bottle of Port and local cakes plus a big bottle of water waiting for us on arrival plus lots of essentials which reduced our shopping list. Overall wonderful

Tolles Hideaway mitten in der Natur

Ursprünglich, komfortabel und ein echtes Schmuckstück umgeben von Natur. Es fehlt an nichts. Sonnige Sommertage klingen an Pool und Grill mit einem traumhaften Blick über den Fluss aus. Der Pool ist mit seiner tollen Größe ein echtes Highlight. Perfekter Rückzugsort zum Entspannen!

Ein kleines Stück vom Paradies...

Ein wunderschönes Haus in traumhafter Natur, der Blick aus dem Pool auf den Tamega zu jeder Tageszeit einfach atemberaubend! Dazu ein riesiger grüner und bunt blühender Garten mit versteckten Hängematten zum chillen und die Ruhe genießen oder wer mag, nimmt sich das Kajak und schippert über den Fluss. Die Gastgeber Alexandre und Miguel sind noch dazu sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wer Ruhe und Idylle sucht, der ist hier goldrichtig, absolut empfehlenswert!

endroit atypique, calme, reposant, campagnard, permettant une belle decouverte du Douro. La ville est a 10 mn, Porto a 45 par autoroute. Belle piscine, belle propriété. Possibilite de faire du kayak et du paddle sur le fleuve, l'hote est trés charmant, attentionné et rend service au moindre besoin. Hervorragende Unterkunft und tolle Gastgeber. Wer in der Abgeschiedenheit Erholung sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Toller Pool und gepflegtes Grundstück mit herrlichem Blick auf den Rio Tamega.

Magical Place!

We loved our stay at Alexandre’s property. The house was super clean and comfortable. He was there with his son to great us and give us a tour of the property. The out door space was fantastic and beautiful! We swam in the pool, went on the river with SUP boards and the kayak. We took the nature walk to the village. We cooked on the outdoor grill and relaxed with great local wine. We had terrific weather; It doesn’t get any better than that!

Most incredible 5 days in beautiful remote isolated private property, Forrest and lake-like river!

Alexandre and his family have one of the most beautiful homes to share, truly an epic experience to wake up here for 5 mornings. The place was immaculately clean, my mother couldn't stop being amazing and she is very particular. The land around the property is beautiful, we had 4 gorgeous sunny days spent in the infinity pool and in what felt like a completely private lake with paddle boards and decent size inflatable rowing boat, life jackets as well which made it safe for everyone. We enjoyed the BBQ and oj the last cold night collected some wood and had a lovely night roasting chestnuts indoors. Waking up to the mountain fog flowing down the mountains was truly epic. Whatever the weather, this epic little hideaway has plenty to offer. We will certainly be back next year! Highly recommended.

Simplesmente Incrível

Os melhores adjetivos são poucos para descrever esta casa e esta propriedade. uma propriedade com uma vista incrível sobre o rio tâmega, uma piscina maravilhosa, uma casa rústica bastante acolhedora e com tudo o que é necessário para passar uns dias fantásticos em pleno descanso e comunhão com a natureza, e o ideal para quem quer recarregar energias... quanto ao anfitrião, só temos a agradecer a sua enorme disponibilidade e simpatia... terminámos a nossa semana de férias bastante surpreendidos pela positiva e com enorme vontade de voltar...
