This is a very nice house in an excellent location just a short walk to medieval city. Everything is in order and clean. The swimming pool was excellent on our hot days. Very much recommend this property. Olivier was extremely responsive and addressed a couple minor issues within hours.

Wonderful property in lovely area with attentive (but not intrusive) owner
We had a great fortnight in this property, which is very well appointed and equipped. We enjoyed using the heated pool and Jacuzzi in the lovely weather and it provided a great base for seeing some of the Dordogne area. We thoroughly recommend it.
Absolutely stunning villa in an excellent location. We have stayed in many private rentals but this has been the best one ever. Great communication with owners, lovely welcome and very helpful. Villa had everything you could want provided and was spotlessly clean. Convenient location for walks into the town in the morning to buy breakfast. We do hope to return. Thank you for our stay.
Positioned on the hill side with views over Sarlat, and a short walk into the town centre, this was the perfect place to stay. The house was well appointed with two kitchens, air conditioning upstairs, a balcony where you could eat outside and take in the view not forgetting the pool and hot tub. Matie was incredibly welcoming and helpful, thank you so much for an incredible stay.
Property exceeded expectations. Could hold two families easily. Short walk to medieval center. Oliver and Matie were helpful. Left us an excellent bottle of local wine and fois gras
Beautiful, comfortable, well equipped house; perfect location in quiet neighborhood on edge of old section of town; great deck space and views; lovely, welcoming, helpful hosts. Couldn’t have been better. Merci beaucoup, Maîté et Olivier.
The home was beautifully situated above old Sarlat, just a short walk away. It was comfortably furnished with separate kitchens, dining and living areas upstairs (1er) and downstairs (rez-de-chaussée), as well as separate outdoor dining areas above and below, canopied with large umbrellas. Our family enjoyed the pool and hot tub each day after touring the surrounding areas. The kitchen and dining areas were well-equipped for our needs. Everything in the home was clean and well- maintained.
Perfect stay in Sarlat, a beautiful medieval town in the heart of Dordogne. The house, pool, hot tub and terraces were all most enjoyable. My husband and I had too much room for just the two of us and it was nice to spread out. Good exercise walking to and from town - just a short walk, all downhill going and rather uphill coming back - very easy. Maite and Olivier were wonderful hosts. We would love to return and definitely recommend it!
Loved touring the area as well as Sarlat's sights to see. Quite an abundance of good restaurants all within walking distance. Enjoyed Maison de Gisson and the cathedral especially. Other lovely towns in the area were Beynac-et-Cazenac and La-Roque-Gageac. Very cool. Great week!
A beautiful and spacious immaculate house with everything you need, a short stroll downhill into Sarlat, the most incredible medieval town where you cross the road and feel like you’ve stepped back in time to a magical place. Visiting with our teenage son who loved the space downstairs. Pool area was fabulous, a sun trap, and the jacuzzi just lovely on the cool days. We had temperatures ranging from 14-32degrees in a week, hot sun and heavy rain, but plenty to do in the area and very easy access from Sarlat. Kitchen was very well equipped, top of the range equipment and bbq a bonus. Breakfast and dinner on the balconies outside with a view over Sarlat. Aircon lovely upstairs and fans in the bedrooms. Maite our fabulous host gave us a very warm welcome and we appreciated the fresh figs, local wine and candied nuts! We really can’t fault anything and would recommend without hesitation. Will miss the beautiful house and town but hope to come back! Thank you Maite! Our highlights: the atmosphere and architecture of Sarlat; Wednesday market; canoeing with Canoe-Loisirs seeing the 5 Chateaux from the river; Grottes de Lascaux & Rocamadour; playing tennis at the Sarlat tennis club indoors with crashing rain outside; relaxing by the pool and the balcony view of Sarlat
We stayed for a week in August and really could not fault the property. It was exactly as described, extremely well presented with everything we could possibly need during our stay. The pool is fabulous with plenty of loungers and outdoor seating plus it gets sun the whole day. The large upstairs balconies are wonderful for dining, with spectacular views over Sarlat (the views and setting is even better than it looks in the photos - others have said you feel like you’re in a tree house which I’d agree with). We liked having the extra lounge and kitchen downstairs as well as the main living area / kitchen upstairs - it makes it easier for the bbq and having drinks and ice creams round the pool. The location is excellent, a short 5 minute walk down into Sarlat. It’s uphill on the way back but it’s good exercise for walking off your meal. Our host was very pleasant, she had clearly thought of everything as all the home comforts were provided and it was reassuring to know she was only a few minutes away for in case we had any issues (not that we did). We will definitely be returning to this wonderful property.
The property was truly outstanding with every requirement provided for a relaxing holiday. We enjoyed the space and size of the house, the peaceful location and views from the balconies. Our daughter and grandchildren visited for one week of our stay and the children had great fun in the pool, improving their water confidence. Maite was kind enough to make sure that the pool alarm was fitted when the children arrived as a precaution in case they accidentally fell in. We really appreciated the jacuzzi, using it often several times during the day. The host Maite was very helpful and friendly, showing us around on arrival, explaining how things worked, ensuring that we had everything we needed as well as her contact details if there was anything else she or her husband could help with. Her son came regularly during our stay to clean the pool and jacuzzi. The bedding was changed and the house cleaned half way through our three week stay. The area has much to offer visitors to the region but our most memorable are the canoe trip along the river, the Grotte at Domme and a visit to a vineyard at Cahors where we had a wonderful meal in their restaurant and stocked up on wine. There are many chateau to see nearby with Chateau de Beynac well worth a visit. The busy Saturday market in Sarlat is not to be missed and Sarlat itself is such a beautiful old medieval town to wander around. We had a wonderful holiday and wish we could have stayed longer. We definitely recommend this lovel
Fantastic big villa. Bit of a hike from town uphill. Could do with bedroom updates but rest was nice. Pool area and outside exceptional with lots of seating and views of village. Very spacious for six people.
The property is beautiful in a stunning setting overlooking Sarlat with the old town minutes walk away. The house is very well set up with everything we needed and having the separate downstairs kitchen for meals on the terrace by the pool was ideal. The owners met us in arrival and were extremely welcoming and kept in touch with us during our stay to ensure everything was running smoothly for us. Our only very minor criticisms would be that the upper floor decked balcony as well as the downstairs toilet could benefit from being upgraded. Overall though an excellent stay and highly recommended.
Fabulous property in a great location.Olivier was one of the most helpful hosts we’ve ever encountered in a few years of hiring private houses, super prompt in response and nothing too much trouble. Merci beaucoup Olivier!Amazing views from the terraces, short walk into centre of Sarlat, pool area private and really well set up.The house is lovely, well furnished and kitchen equipment plentiful. 2 kitchens! Having a downstairs kitchen with hob and fridge freezer was amazing when we wanted to eat by the pool, and being able to nip in for iced drinks etc was a life saver in said heatwave. Our only (very small) downside was that there is only one air con unit in the upstairs living area and the bedrooms do get hot. However and it’s a BIG however, temps were 35 degrees plus every day for the 12 days we were there, so I expect usually this is sufficient, these were full on heatwave conditions. The downstairs of the house is very cool and fans were sufficient. We had 12 days and I would have happily stayed another week, one of the best holidays I’ve had due to base and location.
Spacious well equipped property with excellent views over Sarlat from its position on hill about 400 metres from the centre of the town. The pool is larger than it appears in the photos and there is secure parking at the property. It was very helpful to have air conditioning in the upstairs kitchen/ living area. The check in and out process was very simple but providing a deposit in cash or by cheque is not ideal for those of us who rarely holiday with either.
From the moment we decided on the property the service was excellent and the property itself exceeded our expectations. The house is spacious bright and well equipped and the views are amazing! Outside is well maintained and so comfortable. Great sunbeds and seating areas and the pool and hot tub were very clean. The walk to the property is quite steep but manageable and fairly short! You can get to the centre within less than 10 mins walk. Hosts are brilliant and if you want a wonderful holiday In Sarlat you would be hard pressed to beat this property.
