Fabulous property

Property exceeded expectations. Could hold two families easily. Short walk to medieval center. Oliver and Matie were helpful. Left us an excellent bottle of local wine and fois gras

Greatest gîte ever!

Perfect stay in Sarlat, a beautiful medieval town in the heart of Dordogne. The house, pool, hot tub and terraces were all most enjoyable. My husband and I had too much room for just the two of us and it was nice to spread out. Good exercise walking to and from town - just a short walk, all downhill going and rather uphill coming back - very easy. Maite and Olivier were wonderful hosts. We would love to return and definitely recommend it! Loved touring the area as well as Sarlat's sights to see. Quite an abundance of good restaurants all within walking distance. Enjoyed Maison de Gisson and the cathedral especially. Other lovely towns in the area were Beynac-et-Cazenac and La-Roque-Gageac. Very cool. Great week!

A fabulous house in Sarlat

We stayed for a week in August and really could not fault the property. It was exactly as described, extremely well presented with everything we could possibly need during our stay. The pool is fabulous with plenty of loungers and outdoor seating plus it gets sun the whole day. The large upstairs balconies are wonderful for dining, with spectacular views over Sarlat (the views and setting is even better than it looks in the photos - others have said you feel like you’re in a tree house which I’d agree with). We liked having the extra lounge and kitchen downstairs as well as the main living area / kitchen upstairs - it makes it easier for the bbq and having drinks and ice creams round the pool. The location is excellent, a short 5 minute walk down into Sarlat. It’s uphill on the way back but it’s good exercise for walking off your meal. Our host was very pleasant, she had clearly thought of everything as all the home comforts were provided and it was reassuring to know she was only a few minutes away for in case we had any issues (not that we did). We will definitely be returning to this wonderful property.

Vacances d’été à Sarlat

Emplacement idéal, à 5min à pied de la vieille ville et de ses nombreuses animations tout en étant au calme. La maison est très agréable à vivre avec sa terrasse en hauteur pour les repas en profitant d’une belle vue. La piscine et le jacuzzi sont un vrai plus.

Lovely home — Outstanding week

The home was beautifully situated above old Sarlat, just a short walk away. It was comfortably furnished with separate kitchens, dining and living areas upstairs (1er) and downstairs (rez-de-chaussée), as well as separate outdoor dining areas above and below, canopied with large umbrellas. Our family enjoyed the pool and hot tub each day after touring the surrounding areas. The kitchen and dining areas were well-equipped for our needs. Everything in the home was clean and well- maintained.

Stunning villa

Absolutely stunning villa in an excellent location. We have stayed in many private rentals but this has been the best one ever. Great communication with owners, lovely welcome and very helpful. Villa had everything you could want provided and was spotlessly clean. Convenient location for walks into the town in the morning to buy breakfast. We do hope to return. Thank you for our stay.

The ideal base to explore Sarlat and the Dordogne

Positioned on the hill side with views over Sarlat, and a short walk into the town centre, this was the perfect place to stay. The house was well appointed with two kitchens, air conditioning upstairs, a balcony where you could eat outside and take in the view not forgetting the pool and hot tub. Matie was incredibly welcoming and helpful, thank you so much for an incredible stay.

Excellent séjour

Excellent séjour dans une villa avec des prestations au top, piscine et spa que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Située proche du centre ville avec un accès aisé sans voiture. Propriétaire très gentil et bienveillant. Nous recommandons vivement cette propriété dans une région très riches en activités quelques soient culturelles ou gastronomiques

Sarlat holiday

The property is very nice as we’re the owners. Impeccably clean and well fitted out the house is well positioned with great views overlooking the old town. The swimming pool was a treat and nicely warm. The only downside is that with its position means it is a pretty steep walk coming back from town which is not for the elderly or infirm but in fairness we knew this from previous reviews.

The villa was lovely with amazing views. We couldn’t fault it. Well equipped, clean, and Olivier & Maîté we’re very welcoming and quick to respond to any questions. Sarlat is beautiful and there is so much to explore in the area. The perfect holiday.

Sehr gepflegtes Haus in super Lage

Wir haben zu dritt (3 Erwachsene) eine wunderschöne Woche in diesem sehr gepflegten Haus verbracht. Es liegt ruhig am Ende einer Sackgasse. Die wunderschöne Altstadt von Sarlat mit all seinen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants ist mit einem kurzen Spaziergang schnell zu erreichen. Wir wurden bei unserer Ankunft sehr freundlich in dem schönen Haus empfangen. Die Vermieter waren auch während unseres Aufenthalts jederzeit erreichbar, haben sofort reagiert und sind einfach unkompliziert. Alles war sehr sauber. Wir fanden es sehr schön, morgens auf dem Balkon vor der Küche einen Espresso mit dem wunderschönen Blick auf Sarlat zu genießen. Nach unseren Ausflügen in die Umgebung haben wir den schönen und ebenfalls sehr sauberen Pool genossen. Wenn wir wieder einmal nach Sarlat kommen, kämen wir auf jeden Fall sehr gerne wieder in dieses Haus.

Fabulous house in a great location

Olivier and Maite’s house was ideal for our family of four: very clean and comfortable and being so close to the centre of Sarlat (a 5 minute walk) with a pool was perfect. Sitting out on the balconies with the views especially the one of the old town was fabulous.

Wonderful house in great location

A beautiful house, with a lovely pool area, ideally situated a short walk from the centre. The owners were very friendly and helpful and maintained the property to a high standard. We will definitely be back!

Amazing house, location, and hosts

This house was fantastic for our family of five - including 14-year old twins and a 10 year old. The pool was great and the house had everything we needed including some nice welcome coffee, orange juice, and wine. The town of Sarlat is incredible and a five minute walk away - where we ate dinner and got breakfast each day. Hosts are very gracious!! We want to go back.

Séjour parfait dans un logement parfait avec toutes les commodités pratiques pour nos 4 enfants et pour nous 2 La piscine et le jaccuzi ont fait fureur d'autant plus que le temps était de la parti Un grand merci aux propriétaires pour leur bienveillance et leur disponibilité ; notre petit prince de 2 ans 1/2 a même beneficié de l'installation d'une barrière pour l'escalier Le centre de Sarlat est à 5 minutes à pieds Nous avons passé 2 semaines de vacances sans soucis ; le seul bémol est que ce soit déjà terminé Nous reviendrons certainement

Top-Ferienhaus in Sarlat

Sehr gute Lage nahe des Stadtzentrums! Ausgezeichnete Zimmeraufteilung mit zwei Küchen und Sanitäranlagen auf 2 Ebenen sowie sehr gut gewarteter Pool und Jakouzi. Sehr angenehmer Vermieter. Das Ferienhaus ist ideal zum Ausspannen und bringt einen doch gleich ins klassische Leben einer französischen Kleinstadt. Ein perfekter Urlaub! Danke an Olivier!

Excellent séjour dans une maison agréable et très propre. Propriétaires très accueillants. Emplacement idéal avec accès à pied au centre de Sarlat. Parking apprécié. Maison spacieuse et fonctionnelle. Espace terrasse avec piscine et jacuzzi très agréable.

A little gem in Sarlat

A delightful property with great outside space and a very short walk (yes uphill on return but easily done!) to Sarlat. Host was very responsive and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend. A really enjoyable fortnight stay. Enjoyed eating al fresco with lovely views of the town. Pool area a great sun trap. Well provisioned, modern white goods. Would happily return.
