Remote location and yet close to necessary amenities
This rental location was ideal for our three-day relaxation. Well-equipped, ample open space, the most excellent kitchen we have ever seen with every imaginable kitchen appliance. Great places to relax and enjoy the outdoors and garden produce.

Becki and Geoff were fantastic guests. They were friendly, great communicators, easy going, and respectful of the house and property. When I lost my gardener to injury in the middle of my growing season, they jumped right in and helped mow and weed! It was a pleasure getting to know them and having them stay. I would host them again any time and would gladly tell other hosts to allow them to stay.

Charming and well equipped: professional chef optional!
This ample and fully equipped, 1-bedroom/1-bath residence is an ideal spot for a couple to enjoy a relaxing visit to the Hamilton, MT, township or go all out with excellent, immediate access to hiking, fishing, and many other outdoor adventures in the spectacular 1.6-million-acre Bitterroot National Forest.
In addition to the light and open and vaulted living/kitchen/dining space, there is also a separate sitting/living room with a single sleigh bed and large sofa that can function as another bedroom for a child or one very compatible third adult. However, I should reemphasize for all of our sprawling, privacy-conscious American cousins: one and only ONE bathroom! Choose your traveling companions wisely and well and all will be well.
Proprietor Terri Horn is a professional chef, lives on site in contiguous residence, and has provided her guests with every amenity necessary to assure a comfortable stay. My wife and sister-in-law and I really appreciated the top-line fixtures and cooking equipment in our spacious kitchen and dining area. Terri is also available to prepare deluxe catered meals on site should you ever tire of providing your own haute cuisine or merely crave a superior experience over the interesting local fare on offer in the restaurants of Hamilton or Stevensville.
Located just a couple of miles north of Hamilton and only two minutes off of U.S. Highway 93, this VRBO offers a quiet, ranch-style retreat with all the comforts of a well-appointed city home, a superb view of the surrounding Bitterroot and Sapphire Moutains, and immediate drive-in access to over two-dozen hiking trails. Three of us stayed for six nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time in the valley and in this rental. We enthusiastically recommend this property.

Thank you to my three great traveler's who gave my property such a wonderful review. It was a pleasure getting to know them and am so pleased they enjoyed their stay. It is great knowing all the little touches like robes and slippers, and a well stocked and well appointed kitchen were appreciated. I hope to see them again next year when they return to the area. I took their advice and have added a full length mirror and dresser in the second bedroom. which sleeps two. There two beds in the second bedroom. The sleigh bed is a trundle, the second bed stored underneath which pulls out and pops up. The second bedroom can double as an additional entertainment area when not being used as a bedroom. It is equipped with an electric fireplace and a big screen t.v./stereo system with speakers linked into the living room and back deck. The bathroom is large with a whirlpool spa tub and rain forest shower head, handicapped toilet, Egyptian cotton towels, and all amenities including shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers and curling iron, brushes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and locally made soaps, bath salts and lotions. My guests were able to partake of some vegetables from my organic garden right behind the house. The kitchen is equipped with a Wolf Range, a Wolfgang Puck pressure oven, microwave, dishwasher, large refrigerator/freezer with icemaker and water, and a coffee/espresso/cappuccino maker. The pantry is well stocked. There are top of the line pots, pans and utensils. I am a chef and as stated, you are able to order meals to be prepared for you, you can cook all your meals, or have a combination of both.
The back deck is equipped with a table that can seat six, a covered swing, BBQ, and seating for four around a fire pit for those slightly chilly spring and autumn evenings.
Hiking trails are about one mile from my front door, and the Bitterroot River access is two miles away. I offer you the comfort of being far out in the country, yet the property is only 2 miles from the highway, and 4 miles from the town of Hamilton. Come and enjoy beautiful views in a comfortable setting. I haven striven to think of every amenity but I am always open to suggestions from my guests. I look forward to meeting you.

Perfection on the Bitterroot
I was invited to a private dinner party at "Cache Phloe" cute name. Pulling onto the street, it was so peaceful, clean, serene, gorgeous views of the mountains. The reason I mention the surrounding area is it's important to me how the whole space feels of a place it would be staying.
The home was warm, colorful, whimsical and welcoming. The proprietoress was charming and fun, telling stories while she cooked of days gone by when she'd catered backstage for Rock and Roll legends.
The starters were wonderful ( best crab cakes ever) accompanied by delish chilled champagne.
The dinner was to die for! The aromas, the presentation, the flavors, wow! A total 10!
The experience was one that will stick out in my mind. I plan to schedule a time to come stay here so I can truly soak up and enjoy all that Cache Phloe has to offer

About the host
Hosted by Teri
I came the Bitterroot for a visit, just like you! I found the town so enchanting that I decided to buy a "summer" home to come and visit. I kept coming back for more and more time, and shortly thereafter, decided to move here. I found the people friendly and the scenery beyond compare. The little town of Hamilton reminded me of my childhood. I am so happy to have found this gem of a place.
Why they chose this property
While visiting the Bitterroot I was immediately drawn into its magical web. Within 3 days, I decided I had to own property here. I looked at about 20 homes. I chose this one because as my stepmom was known to say, "it had good bones." The home was nice, with incredible views out of every room. That's when I knew it was special. I ran around the property trying to see inside. I was so excited! It grabbed my heart immediately. There was such a wonderful feel that I knew it was the place for me and I had found home. I love to decorate and design so I decided that the next step was to remodel it and make the inside as wonderful as the outside. I added another bedroom, an entry, new decks, a commercial gourmet kitchen and a marble bathroom with a spa whirlpool tub. Being a chef, I have held many dinner parties here over the years. I enjoyed hosting these parties so much that the next logical step was to offer it to you! I know you will fall in love with it just as I have. While staying here, I know you will enjoy it here as much as I have over the years.
What makes this property unique
Chef/owner can be booked for meals, appetizers, dinner parties up to 8, and picnic baskets. I have cooked all over the world, even owned a restaurant "Down Under." There is now an organic garden full fruits and vegetables. It is truly farm to table here! I also source as many local products as I can, including beef, lamb, and cheeses. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare your own fabulous gourmet meals. There are stunning views from every window. There is a swing on the deck out back and big rocking chairs. You can sit around a fire pit in the evening and just relax and breathe the clean fresh air. There is a bench on the front deck with a little pop up table. Enjoy a glass of wine while watching one of our magnificent sunsets! My friends from the city say they have never slept so well and notice how quiet it is. You will hear neighbors cows mooing, or the horses neighing. There is nothing like a clear starlit night here. The sky is awash with as many stars as you can imagine. The beauty is astounding. You can take off on a hike from the property, or be at either the Bitterroot River or Mountains; both within a couple miles of the front doorstep.
