This was our 5th year coming here. Sean is great with communication and cabin is peaceful and cozy. Feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but just minutes to Craig. Highly recommend.
Great rustic cabin in the hills, all amenities one would need. The listing is accurate so be sure to read details, it is 10 minutes up a dirt road with great privacy and views. The house is "off grid" meaning solar panels and a back up generator, which we didn't need. Sean the owner was very responsive to a few questions we had. Awesome fishing nearby. We would rent it again, a greart value.
The cabin was nice although very secluded. We fished the river did not have much luck. Too much moss in the water. The area is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.
Cabin was great. It was very clean and in a very secluded area. We enjoyed the stay greatly. The cabin in very remote and the roads leading to it are gravel and a bit winding.
The cabin was great. Had everything you needed to enjoy Montana. Spent the week fishing the Missouri River and was awesome to come back to comfortable beds, hot shower and meals cooked on the grill. Cabin was clean and would highly recommend for 2-3 people.
Stayed while fishing on the Missouri. While it looked far from the hub of Craig, it truly was less than 15 min away, yet provided a quiet, private oasis. While being off the power grid, we had no problems with electricity or water demands. Comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and supplied with all our needs. And the owner provides excellent information beforehand to help with locating the property.
The cabin is very cute. It’s a short drive from Craig, and Sean gave great directions. Be sure to bring groceries though because there is no store nearby. There is also a very steep ladder to get up to the top floor. It was no problem for us, but it could be a potential problem for an older person. Overall we had a nice visit.
We stayed at this property for a 3 day fly fishing trip on the Missouri River. The location and accommodations were top notch. The remote location and views were incredible. Our host Sean was awesome and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this property.

There were two of us fishing and we enjoyed cooking and hanging out at the cabin. We hiked to the top of the hill and the view was spectacular. It's a bit far up the hill to haul my boat but it all worked out very well. I wish the fire pit was closer to the front and the picnic table. All in all, it was very good. Thanks
My daughter and I had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was a bit of a drive from the frontage road but that just added to the adventure and peacefulness. The road in was in great shape and the neighbors are friendly. The house was clean and organized. We had everything we needed there. The cell service was great when needed, a rarity on the MO. If you feel like exploring the hill in the back yard provided the most amazing sunset. Sean was quick to respond to all communications and provided all the information needed to find the cabin and explain where everything is located. We will definitely stay here again.
What an amazing location off the beaten path! Accommodations were wonderful! A cabin retreat that provides everything you need to experience the Montana outdoors and, drumroll….close enough to Gates of the Mountain! Wood stove was more than enough heat and the kitchen was well stocked so you can prepare a great meal! Did I mention Sean was extremely responsive? After we checked out, we had to email Sean thinking we left something behind. Sean was quick to respond and a wonderful host!
Met with an old friend to do some fishing. The cabin was as advertised. Great communication with owner and the cabin was as perfect. Would definitely stay there again.
We stayed at the cabin for three nights in august for fly fishing on the Missouri River. The cabin is about 15 min from Craig MT. Admittedly it was a little hard to find via gps but Sean provided a map that if you follow takes you right to the property. The home was clean and had everything we needed and very quaint. It was very quiet and we saw a lot of wildlife. I would definitely come back. The only thing I couldn’t find was steel wool which I would have used to clean the cast iron skillet.
The weather was very hot. The house had no air conditioning and only two small fans. We spent one night and left the next day. The house was too hot to stay in. The owners need to get some air-conditioning in the house for hot days in the summer, and there will be more of them in the future.
The property was beautiful, just as described and shown in the advertisement. The host sent step by step instructions on how to get there so it made it very easy to find. Probably the cleanest property we’ve even stayed at. The host had great communication. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed staying at the cabin. It is located in the woods and was very quiet and peaceful. Had everything we needed for our stay and communication was great with the host
Stayed with a fishing buddy. A perfect place for relaxing after a day on the Missouri.
I'll book it again for next year's trip.
Thanks.

I have been coming to Craig for 18 years. It has been my dream to own a place in the area and now I finally do. I am an avid fisherman and licensed guide in NY. I am also an artist and Art Teacher. Many of my paintings are from this area and the Missouri River. I love the outdoors and I love this place.
Why they chose this property
This cabin put a smile on my face from the moment I saw it. Built in 2008, it is in excellent shape. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is secluded from the interstate, yet very close to Craig. You are near all the fishing, yet you feel like you are away from it all. There are 20 acres to roam around on and see amazing views of the Big Belt Mountains.
What makes this property unique
Many of the places out here are close to the interstate... When I thought of being here, I thought of being in nature but not so far removed that it was inconvenient to get to where I needed . This is the perfect place for being in a natural Montana setting and close to the fishing. If you like nature, I know you will love this place!
